Miftah and Al-Saadi Launch General Basic Exams
Sana'a (Saba) – First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah and Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi launched the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCE) exams, which are being taken by 295,636 primary school students, distributed across 2,755 testing centers.
During the inauguration ceremony, held in several schools in the New Sana'a District, Miftah confirmed that the testing process is proceeding at the highest level for students.

Hajjah - Saba: The Mobilization Forces in Hajjah province organized two popular displays featuring graduates of "Al-Aqsa Flood" training courses. They also condemned the crimes of the Zionist entity in Gaza, the massacres against humanity targeting women and children, and the complicit silence of Arab regimes, the international community, and the United Nations in the face of these brutal atrocities. During the display in Bakil Al-Mir, Brigadier General Hassan Al-Qasimi, the province's security director, praised the people of the district for their solidarity with the oppressed in Gaza and their response to the revolutionary leadership's call to join "Al-Aqsa Flood" open courses to acquire essential combat skills. He highlighted the genocidal crimes committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza in full view of the world, as well as Yemen's unwavering stance—both leadership and people—in supporting the Palestinian resistance and standing with Al-Aqsa. Brigadier General Al-Qasimi emphasized that backing the resistance in Gaza stems from humanitarian, religious, and moral responsibilities in supporting the Palestinian cause. Education Minister reviews performance at university of Sana'a
Sana'a - Saba: The Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, emphasized the ministry's commitment to supporting the University of Sana'a and enabling it to maintain its leading position among Yemeni universities. During his visit today to review the university's performance and meet with its council, Minister Al-Saadi praised the efforts of the university's leadership and its academic and administrative staff under the current circumstances. He noted that working for knowledge and education, especially during this critical phase, is among the most virtuous deeds in the eyes of God. He expressed his hope that the University of Sana'a would lead other institutions in academic program quality, administrative efficiency, transparency, community service, and positive student engagement. He stressed the importance of promoting scientific , ethical values among students, with educators serving as role models in behavior, discipline, and professionalism. The minister commended the efforts of the university's previous leadership, which successfully overcame numerous challenges in recent years. He acknowledged that change is a natural process, expressing confidence in the ability of the current university president and his team to continue the path of progress and development. He reiterated the ministry's support for the university's leadership in addressing various challenges, reinforcing the University of Sana'a's role as a leading academic and national institution. For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukaiti, President of the University of Sana'a, affirmed that the university is implementing a comprehensive plan to address current challenges , enhance academic and administrative performance. He noted that the university presidency has activated departmental councils and introduced new mechanisms to ensure financial transparency, including a structured salary disbursement system covering half of the monthly wages. Dr. Al-Bukaiti highlighted the university's priorities, such as disbursing teaching hour payments, covering operational expenses for colleges , centers, and providing monthly transportation allowances for academic and administrative staff, alongside infrastructure development plans for labs, workshops, and facilities. He directed the formation of a committee to evaluate the academic, administrative, and financial performance of the university's 25 research and service centers to enhance transparent and responsible resource management. The president stressed the importance of leveraging scientific research to improve the university's standing in international rankings, where it has made notable progress in recent years. Higher Education Sector begins review of Yemeni University annual reports
Sana'a – Saba: The Higher Education Sector of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research on Saturday commenced its annual meeting to present and discuss the performance reports of Yemeni universities and colleges for the academic year 2023-2024. Over the next two weeks, the sector will review achievement levels in the annual reports of both public and private universities and community colleges. Meetings will be held with university and college presidents to discuss their reports and the provided data. The first session involved the review of the Emirates International University's annual report, presented by its leadership. The report detailed the university's operational achievements, developments in academic, administrative, and research areas, infrastructure expansion, challenges, and proposed solutions. Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi emphasized the importance of this process for assessing performance, identifying shortcomings, and improving the quality of higher education. He stressed the need for transparency and accurate data. Undersecretary of the Higher Education Sector, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, stated that reviewing all university reports is crucial for evaluation and understanding their achievements and challenges. He noted that this process would inform the national classification of universities and highlighted the complementary role of private institutions. Dr. Ahmed Al-Haboub, Chairman of the Academic Accreditation Council, underscored the significance of these reports for the National University Classification Project. Dr. Ilham Al-Sanabani, Vice Chair of the review committee, outlined the evaluation themes used for the fifth consecutive year, including strategic planning, student statistics, faculty, finances, quality management, research, and community services.
