Huddersfield sign Birmingham striker May
The 32-year-old joined Blues from Charlton Athletic last summer and scored 16 goals in 44 appearances in League One last season as they won the title.
A prolific goalscorer in the third tier, May was the top scorer in the division for Charlton in 2023-24 with 23 goals and he scored a total of 43 league goals for Cheltenham across the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
"It's no secret that this is a club that I've come close to joining in the past, and I'm really pleased the opportunity has come again to become a Town player," he said.
"This is a huge club with massive ambition and that's all any player wants to feel a part of.
"I was in a team last season that felt similarly so I know what's possible when a squad clicks with a manager and there's a positive feeling across the whole club, and that's something I recognise here."

If you're looking for a football team that almost certainly will be improved over last season, Bellflower High fits the profile. The Buccaneers went 0-10. Amir Neal was a starter and never quit. His mom kept telling him, "It's going to get better, it's going to get better." And it has with the hiring of first-year coach Keith Miller, who has brought along his 14-year-old freshman son, Austin, who's 6 feet 5. "We're going to compete for championships and scholarships," Miller vowed at a media day on Saturday. Miller was an assistant at Bellflower when his brother, Jason, was head coach. His daughter plays flag football at Bellflower, so the Millers figure to be influential in the sports programs. Having Austin around should help. He's a receiver who's still growing. New quarterback Elacion Saxton will try to use Miller's size and athleticism for big plays. Austin was asked if during a car ride his father treats him differently depending on his performance. "There's no difference whether there's a good game or bad game," he said. "My dad still loves me." After a follow-up question, Austin finally admitted a good game gets him a stop at Chipotle. Liverpool have agreed a transfer fee after the player gave a green light on a five year contract. He'll now fly out to complete the move. L'Équipe now claims that deal is fully agreed. Lyon will pay €10 million in base fee, plus up to €5 million in add-ons. It's a relatively low price but after Morton barely played last season, an understandable one. Morton has already agreed to a five-year contract with the French side. He'll now fly out there to have a medical and formally sign his deal.
