This strategic initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040's healthcare objectives to develop an innovative, quality-driven health system utilizing national expertise.

Muscat: The first company specializing in health insurance claims management 'Green Line Health Insurance Claims Management Company' was established on Sunday. It is the first Omani company licensed for this activity, supported by a national vision consistent with the directives of Oman Vision 2040, aiming to provide services with global standards using the latest technologies, and to enhance and empower national competencies to undertake a key role in this new field. The move comes amid accelerating growth in the health insurance sector and the increasing need for smart solutions to enhance the efficiency of medical services. Faisal Hamad Al Rashdi, Co-founder and CEO of Green Line Insurance Services, stated that, due to his long experience in the health insurance sector, he observed the operational challenges facing this sector, whether at the level of insurance companies, healthcare providers, or even policyholders. Given a clear gap in claims management, Al Rashdi decided to establish this company, especially with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) announcing the opening for applications to practice health insurance claims management as an independent and regulated activity. He explained that the market lacked a specialised company in health insurance claims management, with a greater reliance on foreign companies managing operations from outside Oman. This affected the speed and quality of services, in addition to the possibility of health data – which is highly sensitive – being leaked through external systems. The Financial Services Authority had taken the initiative to issue clear legislation to ensure the protection of this data within Oman. He noted that the company represents a reliable source managed by national competencies, meeting market needs through its proximity to clients, which directly reflects on work quality and the speed of transaction completion. Regarding the market's reception of this project, Faisal Al Rashdi affirmed that it is natural for any sector to face some challenges when entering a phase of change, especially when there are long-standing working relationships between the market and external parties that have managed this activity for decades. He emphasised that the company relies heavily on digital solutions and modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, for faster data analysis and the automation of routine operations using robotic process automation (RPA), which reduces manual errors and saves time and effort. Indian medical team provides critical inputs for treatment methodology of burn patients in Bangladesh
Dhaka: A visiting Indian medical team has provided critical inputs for treatment methodology of patients injured in a fighter jet crash in Bangladesh, Indian High Commission in Dhaka said on Friday. "The Indian Medical Team currently visiting Bangladesh continued their mission to provide medical support to Bangladesh authorities for treatment of critically injured patients in the aftermath of the plane crash of July 21 at Milestone School and College in Dhaka", said the statement posted on Facebook page of Indian High Commission, Dhaka. "Today, the team held the second round of consultations with doctors at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka, visited some of the patients and observed their prognosis," it added. "The team further deliberated management protocols with the doctors at the Institute and provided critical inputs for treatment methodology," the statement said. A medical team on Wednesday evening arrived in Dhaka to support burn victims of the recent fighter jet crash in the Diabari area of Bangladesh's capital. According to the Bangladesh Chief Adviser's Press Wing, the death toll in the crash incident has risen to 33 and 50 injured, mostly students were admitted to various hospitals in capital, Dhaka. Injured other were teachers, school staff, firefighters, police, army, maids, electricians, and others. The death toll may rise again, as among the injured, 25 patients have serious conditions with burn injury, a doctor said. On July 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences at the loss of lives in the tragic air crash in Dhaka and had conveyed assurances of support and assistance. A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 fighter jet crashed into the Milestone School and College campus in Dhaka on Monday afternoon. The jet was being piloted by Bangladeshi Air Force Flight Lieutenant Mohammad Towkir Islam Sagor, who had also died in the crash.

New Delh i: Official Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal on late Wednesday night announced that a team of two Indian specialists and a nursing assistant landed in Dhaka to help with the treatment of the victims of the plane crash tragedy of July 21 in Dhaka. The team is scheduled to begin with their work from Thursday, which mirrors Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to assist the region as the tragedy struck. In a post on X, Jaiswal said, "This evening (July 23), a team of two Indian specialists and a nursing assistant from two of India's topmost burn injury treatment hospitals -- Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi -- landed in Dhaka to help with the treatment of the victims of the plane crash tragedy of 21 July in Dhaka. They will begin their work at a designated hospital treating these patients from tomorrow morning. Their visit follows PM Narendra Modi's assurance to extend all possible assistance and support to Bangladesh in the wake of the tragedy." The team arrived in Dhaka to provide support for burn victims of the recent fighter jet crash in the Diabari area of Bangladesh's capital.
