Danny Dyer has admitted his wife Joanna Mas 'deserved better' as he opened up about their split and his drug-fuelled three-day benders in the 'most open and honest' interview of his life.
The actor, 47, gets a grilling in ITV 's new show The Assembly, which sees a celebrity face questions from a group of autistic, neurodivergent and learning disabled people, forcing them to cast aside their media training, with no topic off limits.
Each episode of the series sees a follows a different celebrity, with Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker, 64, Doctor Who star David Tennant, 54, and ex-Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall, 32, also in the hot seat.
In a new clip from Saturday's upcoming episode, one woman asked Danny about his split from Joanne.
She said: 'When Jo kicked you out she emptied your shared joint bank account, do you still have a shared bank account now?'
A stunned Danny joked that he was about to give her a hug until she hit him with the stinging question.

He then openly admitted to being kicked out, as he confessed: 'I was a p***k and she deserved better.
'Sometimes I'd go out, get off my head, take drugs; I wouldn't come home for three days.
'She had every right to throw me out. She controls everything now.'
Danny and Joanne got together in 1992, and have three children - Love Island's Dani, 27, daughter Sunnie, 17, and son Arty, six.
Their on-off relationship was marred with cheating allegations in the past, although they eventually got back together for good and married in 2016 after Joanne proposed a year before.
Back in 2000, Danny's wild behaviour culminated in Jo catching him cheating on her, causing her to kick him out and clear their bank account.
In an interview with The Times in 2023, Danny recalled the moment he got caught cheating on Jo, and insisted he 'doesn't blame her' for changing her phone number, clearing their account, and stopping him from seeing his eldest daughter Dani.
He confessed: 'I didn't blame her. It was a mad period. I do now realise what's important to me are my family. They are everything.
'I tried to fill it with the drink and drugs and doing stupid things. I was a lost soul. I had a 'f*** it' button and I would destroy relationships before I could be left'.
Last year, he admitted that Jo has stood by him 'through a lot of s**t', adding that she didn't sign up to a life of fame.
Speaking on Elizabeth Day's podcast How To Fail, he said: 'Well, I've been with the same woman since I was 13. It's a journey. It's so rare, that.
'Because if you think about who you was at 13 and who you are now, to grow with somebody at the same time, at the same rate, and then you throw fame in the mix, and what happened with me, which she never wanted, and she came along for this ride with me, both from the same council estate.
'She didn't really sign up for that, and then, on her course, it f****d my head up when I became really famous, and I didn't quite know what to do with it and I suppose she stood by me for a lot of s**t and had to be very patient with me.
'And of course I do believe in the marriage vows and sickness and health and for better for worse.
'So it's hard to stay in a relationship for that long with the press attention and with me being a pr**k for many years, because I was, I hold my hands up, I lost the plot for many years.'
He continued: 'I didn't quite know who I was and I suppose she had to suffer all that on a national level.
'I love her with all my heart. You know, she challenges me every day. She's kept me very grounded. I'll tell you that now.
'She came to watch me in a play once and I came off stage and she went, yeah, just don't get carried away with yourself. I thought that's what I need to hear.'
In his Assembly questioning, Danny also got candid about how he copes with his anxiety, explaining that meditation and therapy is what has helped him become a better person.
He said: 'I needed to learn what was wrong with me because I was acting, I was earning money - I had everything going for me, but I still wasn't happy. I learned that it was every strong male role model I had either left me or died.'
He admitted that the coping strategies he developed when he was younger did more harm than good, saying: 'Whenever I got close to somebody who I loved and I looked up to I'd press the 'f*** it' button before they could die.
'I thought 'I'll beat you to it' which is a weird way of thinking. I needed to learn some tools, so [therapy] was good for me.'

Elsewhere, Max's mother, Yvette, and sister, Saskia, pay him a visit. But he's shocked when Yvette announces she'd like Saskia to stay in Erinsborough. Home and Away Justin runs into Bree and Remi, desperate to get a message to Theo. Remi agrees - as long as he helps Kirby through her songwriting. When Kirby plays him some of her songs, Justin's feedback is limited. His apparent lack of interest sends her spiralling. Cash is desperate for Eden to go away with him, but she has other ideas, telling Mackenzie to decline on her behalf. But Cash gets Mackenzie on his side with a bombshell. Another shock then rattles the Bay - Eden's mum, Deb.

Doctor Who stars join forces for Ace book about iconic jacket
During an episode of Doctor Who in 1988, Sophie Aldred beat up a Dalek with a baseball bat while wearing her character's iconic years later, standing next to one of the models used in that very same episode, the actress admits her old nemesis has not "aged terribly well".The 62-year-old played Ace, who was a troubled but clever teen who became a companion of the seventh Doctor played by Sylvester spoke to the BBC at the Discover Bucks Museum in Aylesbury, where her co-star Dalek model is on actress, who lives in nearby Hertfordshire, has written a book about her character's jacket, with contributions from Doctor Who stars including David Tennant, Jodie Whittaker and Peter Capaldi. Back in 1987, the then 24-year-old had suggested the jacket to the show's costume designer after seeing teenagers, like Ace, wearing similar ones in was soon crammed with more than 50 badge; a mix of Aldred's own keepsakes and additions from the costume pinned on her Blue Peter badges, her old lacrosse captain's badge, and a Thunderbirds badge, having written a university dissertation on creator Gerry Anderson."I've got a Charlton Athletic badge there which is my team, however Ace came from Perivale in west London [so] she would have likely supported QPR or something like that," she explained. The jacket was worn in the story Remembrance of the Daleks, where Ace famously beat up a Dalek before jumping out of a window to to face again with one of the Daleks used in that story, she said: "It's not aged terribly well, has it?"Back in the day we didn't have HD so we actually could get away with slightly battered Daleks with paint splashes and brush marks and things like that."She recalled: "Our stunt director said, 'Look, sit down. You've been through the equivalent of a minor car crash in terms of adrenaline'."And so, off everybody went and I was sitting there doing breathing exercises... Then I heard, 'Uh, excuse me. Could somebody let me out, please?'"They'd all gone and left the poor bloke inside the Dalek." In 2022, she returned to the screen alongside Jodie Whittaker's Doctor, once again swinging a baseball bat at a recalled: "I said to Chris Chibnall, who was the producer: 'I've got the jacket, do you want me to bring it?' and he said 'Yes!'"Young people who didn't know anything about Ace saw me in that as an older woman and they also loved the character of Ace."There's something about Ace that I think appeals to people because she's very realistic and she's very authentic." The idea to write a book about the jacket came from Doctor Who fan Shawn into two parts, the first instalment, Ace's Jacket: The Inside Story, includes fictional tales about how each badge ended up on Ace's coat."I went off to various Doctor Who alumni like David Tennant, Chris Chibnall... I said to them, could you write a story about one of the badges that takes your interest?"I got in touch with a lot of the people I know, I collared people at parties and conventions."They've written little short stories or poems - we've had paintings, we've had cartoons, we've had all sorts."The list of more than 50 people who have taken part includes names from across Doctor Who's 63-year history, including guest star Hugh Bonneville and writer Steven every living actor who has played the leading role made a fans were also invited to contribute such as content creator Christel Dee and writer Beth Axford. The actress said much of the money raised from the book would go towards charities Autism All Stars and the National Autistic explained: "It felt like something really great to do for charity as well."We wanted to choose charities which had some kind of association with Doctor Who and there's a lot of Doctor Who fans who do have autism. I've met so many of them. "They're such incredible, amazing people. I just really felt that it would be good to raise some awareness and some money as well for for these charities."Aldred admitted it felt surreal, decades on, to still be wearing the same jacket and standing in front of a Dalek talking about she insisted she would not change a thing: "It's extraordinary. Corrie's Lauren star Cait Fitton teases 'rollercoaster' LSD plot
Lauren Bolton is trying to build a new life in Corrie. But with more drama set to unfold in the ITV cobbles, actress Cait Fitton says her character will face more trauma. Lauren Bolton is clearing out the old and welcoming the new on Coronation Street. But according to actress Cait Fitton, peace on the cobbles won't last long. 'She's at a really stable point of her life. She has a job at the Rovers behind the bar and she's learning the craft,' Cait says, 'She's trying to build relationships. That's where the party comes in.' What begins as a chance to let loose quickly spirals into disaster for Lauren. The chaos kicks off when Aadi (Adam Hussain), nudged by Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), throws a midsummer party. In the ITV soap, Lauren turns up alongside Dylan, Betsy and Brody. But things take a dark turn when Brody, played by Ryan Mulvey, brings LSD to the party. 'Lauren doesn't even know what is going on,' Cait says. 'She has anxiety over whether or not she should even be there because she doesn't know anybody apart from Betsy. She seems out of place, though she tries her best to fit in.' Then, she accidentally takes the drug. 'She has a traumatic experience with it,' Cait says, 'We see a side of her that we haven't seen for months. Her trauma is going to affect her future. It's going to be a rollercoaster. Everybody at that party - their lives are going to be changed. I don't know how she'll go through it.' Disney+ drops to £1.99 in rare deal Netflix and Amazon can't beat Lauren has already been put through the wringer since making her first appearance in Weatherfield in 2022. After surviving abuse at the hands of Joel Deering and welcoming her baby son Frankie, Lauren's had to navigate trauma, grief and isolation. On top of that, she's lost her boyfriend and confidant Max Turner, played by Paddy Bever, after his arrest and imprisonment for arson. 'It's been really hard without Paddy,' Cait says. 'My journey started with him and his time ended with me. It was strange to wrap my head around doing scenes without him. I miss working with Paddy.' Still, the pair remain close. 'I am in touch with him,' she says, 'We're both very busy, but we do catch up.' In Paddy's absence, Lauren's found a new on-screen ally in Betsy Swain, played by Sydney Martin - and Cait couldn't be more grateful. 'Sydney has a beautiful aura to be around,' says Cait. 'She's so positive and the best person to go to for advice. We clicked straight away. We're always looking for each other at work. She's like my home.' The off-screen bond translates directly into their characters' growing friendship. 'It's nice because they're getting close,' Cait says, 'Lauren has never had that and hasn't had the opportunity to bond with the younger people on the Street. She needs a backbone to rely on. Betsy accepts Lauren for who she is, and vice versa.' But Cait has also found support well beyond Sydney. She beams when speaking about her Corrie castmates, especially soap veteran David Neilson who plays Roy Cropper in the drama. 'I love working with all the co-stars. I see them on a daily basis,' she says, 'David is such a beautiful person, inside and out. I learn something new with him every day. He's got such dry wit, but the most powerful thing about him is that he has the capacity to make you cry. If I have to be emotional, all I need to do is look at David in his Roy attire.' Since taking on a job at the Rovers Return Inn, Lauren's been pulling pints and brushing shoulders with some of Weatherfield's most iconic residents, including Carla Connor, portrayed by Alison King. 'I worked with Ali a little bit during the Joel storyline,' Cait says, 'She's like the mummy of the group. She took me under her wing, even when I first started. She's absolutely brilliant. I've also learned a lot from Jodie Prenger.' Lauren's role at the Rovers feels especially meaningful for Cait, who's been dreaming of being in Coronation Street since her childhood. 'I was a massive fan of the show, I used to watch it religiously all the time,' she says. 'When I went to school, everybody wanted to be a nurse, a doctor, a policewoman or an artist. I wanted to be in Coronation Street.' It's a full-circle moment she still hasn't quite wrapped her head around. 'I've always wanted to do it, but I never thought I'd do it this early in my career,' she says. 'That's why I have so much love for the fans. We wouldn't have this show without them. I used to be one of those people standing outside the gates waiting to get a picture with someone!' Despite her rising profile, Cait is reluctant to use the word 'famous'. She prefers to stay grounded. 'I don't like the word because it puts you in a bubble, where you're higher than other people,' she says. 'I'm just a born-and-bred Mancunian doing a job she loves. I've come from the bottom and worked my way up - it shows hard work does pay off.' And while she's thriving as Lauren, Cait acknowledges the emotional toll her role can take. 'It's taken me a long time to have thick skin, it's not an overnight process,' she says. 'We are normal people outside of filming, but everyone sees the characters as actual people. That can be really hard, especially with Lauren, who is complex.' That said, Cait isn't done pushing boundaries. Before her soap stardom, she sang in pubs and clubs across Manchester, chasing dreams of the West End. 'I wouldn't take that off the cards,' she says, 'I'd love to do something like that.' Her ambitions don't stop there: ' Masked Singer, hit me up!' Off-screen, Cait finds balance in the quiet joy of home life, especially with her two border terriers. 'I love playing with them in the garden,' Cait says, 'One is a rescue dog. She bites through everything like she's still a puppy. I absolutely adore them.'
