Over the next 14 weeks, ten brand new branches will open across the UK and they'll bring with them around 400 new jobs.
Aldi now has more than 1,050 stores across Britain and has set its sights on 1,500 as part of its long-term plan.
Each of the 10 new sites will create around 40 jobs, with staff earning at least £12.75 an hour, and even more inside the M25 at £14.05.
That's before a planned pay bump this September that'll push starting pay up again.
All Aldi staff also get paid breaks, worth around £1,370 a year to the average store colleague.
Alongside the new sites, Aldi will also give 30 of its existing stores a fresh new look.
These will include popular locations in Manchester, Liverpool, Kent, Dorset and Scotland.
The chain's managing director of national real estate, Jonathan Neale, revealed why the company was expanding rapidly, in a statement released today.
He said: "We strongly believe that everyone in Britain should have access to high quality food at our unbeatable Aldi prices.
"But we know that there are still thousands of shoppers in the capital that don't yet have access to an Aldi nearby."

The budget chain has tossed £55million at its capital city stores alone, with four of the new branches being in London.
These include the Wimbledon, Fulham Broadway, Orpington and Caterham (Surrey) branches.
Aldi also wants to open another 100 stores in London, which would mean 3,500 new jobs in the capital.
Jonathan said: "There are still thousands of shoppers – especially in London - who don't yet have an Aldi nearby.
"That's not fair, and we're working hard to change that.'
So if there's not an Aldi near you now, chances are there will be soon and your weekly shop might just get a whole lot cheaper.

The popular supermarket chain is launching three new dessert-inspired Ballycastles (70cl) - each scanning at the tills for just £7.49.

Guardiola and Man City to poach second Liverpool mastermind in matter of days

Pep Guardiola is rebuilding his backroom staff at Manchester City in the search for fresh ideas, with the Spaniard targeting Premier League title rivals Liverpool Manchester City are set to raid Liverpool for analyst James French as Pep Guardiola continues to revamp his backroom staff. Following a disappointing season that left City without a major trophy, their boss is looking to reinvigorate his reign. He has started by dispatching with three key assistants, with Juanma Lillo, Carlos Vicens, and Inigo Dominguez all leaving the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola is pushing for new voices and ideas to challenge him next season. ‌ That push has seen him look towards Liverpool to raise standards at City. Liverpool have been City's closest challengers over the past decade and are the only team in the past eight seasons to pip them to the Premier League title. ‌ Legendary German manager Jurgen Klopp mostly led that challenge during his nine years at Anfield. He won the title in 2020, with the Reds repeating that success under his replacement Arne Slot this season. Guardiola first targeted Klopp's regime, with his former assistant Pep Lijnders having already agreed a deal to join City. The Dutchman is expected to be in place in time for the Club World Cup, which starts in 10 days. According to The Athletic, City have followed that up by making a move for analyst French. The Portuguese-born anaylst has worked on opposition teams for the Reds since 2012, initally joining during Brendan Rodgers ' reign. He has since become a key man under both Klopp and Slot, but said his goodbyes as Liverpool celebrated their title win last month. French is expected to take on a role focusing on set-piece coaching and analysis at City. Lijnders meanwhile will return to the Premier League in the coming days. He was most recently head coach at Red Bull Salzburg, having decided to leave Anfield at the same time as Klopp. ‌ But he endured a disastrous reign in Austria and was sacked in December, with Salzburg 10 points behind Sturm Graz in the Bundesliga. Lijnders also held talks with Norwich City over their managers' job, though that has since gone to Liam Manning. The Dutchman made a key step towards securing his move to City on Wednesday. Salzburg announced that they had come to an agreement with Lijnders to offically terminate his contract. That move paves the way for him to link up with City as Guardiola's new lieutenant. Salzburg's Managing Director for Sport and General Manager hailed Lijnders as they confirmed the termination of his deal. ‌ "After some very constructive and positive discussions in recent days, we have terminated the contract with our former coach Pepijn Lijnders by mutual agreement," Rouven Schröder and Stephan Reiter said in a joint statement. "We would like to thank Pep once again for his hard work during his time with us and wish him all the very best for his future in football!"

Celtic transfer bulletin as goal machine target performs U turn and unhappy Matt O'Riley drops Brighton bombshell

Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a striker and a heavily linked 25-goal hitman has left the door open Celtic-linked goal machine Youssef El Kachati has stunned Hannover 96 by making an 11th-hour transfer U-turn. The Moroccan forward is hot property after firing Telstar to Eredivisie promotion and has reportedly attracted interest from Parkhead. ‌ El Kachati - who rattled 25 goals in 45 games for the newly-promoted Dutch minnows - is out of contract this summer and recently revealed he has several offers on the table. ‌ German second-tier outfit Hannover 96 thought they had won the race for the hitman's signature, with Kicker claiming that sporting director Marcus Mann had reached a verbal agreement with the 25-year-old over a free transfer in May. But various reports in Germany now state that El Kachati has had a change of heart and has set his sights on joining a top-tier club playing in European competition. And that could leave the door open for Brendan Rodgers to swoop as the Scottish champions search for a successor to Kyogo. Meanwhile, returning hero Kieran Tierney has delivered his final interview as an Arsenal player as the left-back heads back to Celtic Park. Tierney - who made 144 appearances for the Gunners - became an instant fans' favourite following his £25million move to the Emirates six years ago. And the Scotland defender has bid an emotional farewell by sending a special message to his adoring Gooners. ‌ He told the club's media: "Just thank you for everything from day one. They supported us through the good times and the bad, and they supported me through some hard times as well. "I think that's what I'm most grateful for, the times where it wasn't so good or so easy for me is when they probably supported me most, so I'm just very grateful and I feel very lucky to have the support from them. ‌ "I feel so lucky that I've played for this club and the love that the supporters have given me has been amazing. I've loved every day here and I've learned so much, I've improved so much and I just feel very lucky. "When I first came in, obviously the club is huge, absolutely massive, but in the league table we were probably where we shouldn't be. "I think the growth over the last three or four years has been incredible and I think this club and this group of players and the manager are just going to go on to even better things in the future. ‌ "It'll be hard but it's a happy goodbye. I've loved it here, loved every minute of it. There are countless memories that are amazing for me; your debut is always special, and winning the FA Cup as well in the first season. "It's a great team, and I'm so close to some of the boys in there. I've been here a long time, so it'll be sad but a happy goodbye." Elsewhere, Matt O'Riley admits he's unhappy at Brighton amid interest from Premier League rivals Everton. ‌ The ex-Celtic star endured a frustrating debut campaign for the Seagulls following last summer's £25m switch from Parkhead and missed a huge chunk of games through injury. O'Riley, 24, bemoaned the fact he's been unable to play in his favoured position under head coach Fabian Hurzeler, who has used Georginio Rutter in the No. 10 role instead. ‌ Speaking in his homeland, the Denmark international said: "I am not completely happy, and I am just giving my opinion. 'It makes it difficult to show off when you play a position you are not completely happy with. I can play better for the team if I play the number eight position, but I can play well in other positions. "You can say it in a way that is not aggressive. If you are honest with another person, you don't lose anything. The coach can always say he doesn't agree." Popular children's cup sold at Matalan for £3 urgently recalled over ‘risk of eye injury'

Matalan has recalled its Blue Easter Tumbler Cup with Straw over safety fears, warning it could pose a serious risk to children. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Shoppers who bought the Bunny Tumbler with Straw are urged to stop using it immediately Credit: Matalan The £3 cup features a bunny wearing sunglasses, with ears sticking out from the lid. It poses an injury risk, as users could accidentally be poked in the eye by the pointed ears. The sought-after Matalan cup does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, according to the government's website. Shoppers who bought the Bunny Tumbler with Straw are urged to stop using it immediately and return it to their nearest Matalan store for a full refund. Those with further queries can contact Matalan's Customer Care Team on 0333 0044444 or email customercareceo@ It comes after the retail giant urgently recalled three children's clothing products over a "risk of being strangled". Matalan made the decision after deciding that a number of boy's swim shorts posed a serious risk to kids. The recall affects the blue shark rash vest and shorts worth £12 on the website at the time of writing. The other two products recalled were the seersucker swimshorts in blue and the boys tie dye swimshorts. Parents were urged to take the faulty items away from little ones and return them "immediately" to a Matalan store. 'Contaminated' Costco snack recalled as 'small pieces of wood' are found inside it – eight products are affected All three products could cause entrapment and strangulation, warned the retailer. Matalan stressed that no receipt will be required to claim the refund. Matalan said: "It has come to our attention that the above boys' swim shorts do not meet our usual high standards for quality and safety, as there is a high possibility of entrapment and strangulation with the draw cord." The company also urged customers who bought the swimwear as gifts to inform others about the recall notice straight away. It added: "If you have bought the above for someone else or know someone who has one then please let them know immediately about this notice." Matalan apologised for the inconvenience caused to shoppers and confirmed that the recall does not affect any other products. The retailer added: "We pride ourselves on delivering great quality at great prices, and we're really sorry for any inconvenience caused." This follows the owners of a dysin gair styling dupe warning shoppers of its danger - with the potential to overheat and/or explode. And a popular children's swimming float has been urgently recalled over fears it could cause serious injury or even drowning.
