Xia Zhiyuan welcomes his first baby
Sharing the news on Weibo with a compilation of photos and videos of his baby, he wrote, "You are the future of our little family, and also the future of our great nation."
"I truly feel like an old man now," he added.
The actor, known for dramas like "Life After Life", "Addicted to Love" and "The Shadow", tied the knot in October 2024 to his non-showbiz wife.
He wrote, "We saw the future - it came to us. We offered him a piece of time, a small, solid fragment of time. Time that bore beautiful patterns, soft to the touch like shallow sea mud. He covered himself with this time, and then took our hands - lifting us into the bliss of the universe."

Swiss watchmaker Swatch apologies for ad showing gesture seen as racist
GENEVA (AP) — Swiss watchmaker Swatch apologized Monday for an ad campaign that upset consumers in China and elsewhere and said it had 'immediately removed all related materials worldwide.' In an image for the Swatch Essentials collection, an Asian male model is shown pulling the edges of his eyelids upward and backward with his fingers — a gesture seen as derogatory and racist, Swiss public broadcaster SRF reported. Swatch wrote on Instagram that 'we sincerely apologize for any distress or misunderstanding this may have caused.' It said it would 'treat this matter with the utmost importance.' SRF reported that the apology was also posted on the Chinese social network Weibo in Chinese and English. Zhao Lusi shades management with a green tea emoji
5 Aug - Zhao Lusi seems to be truly over it when it comes to her management, Yinhekuyu Media (aka Galaxy Cool), after the company decided to respond to the allegations she made against them. On 3 August, the company released its own statement via Weibo, stating that they were shocked by Lusi's earlier post accusing them of multiple failings following her hospitalisation for multiple health related issues late last year. Denying that they have breached the contract, the company reiterated its commitment to fulfilling its responsibilities under management contract and cooperation with Lusi to resolve the issue. They also urged the actress to avoid from posting statements online that can lead to public misunderstanding. In her response, she reposted the statement and started her own post with a green tea emoji, which has a connotation of "being sweet in public but actually manipulative and evil" in Chinese slang. She then wrote, "In a company with so many shareholders, only one person messages me? It's like punching into cotton. No resistance. Then just silently watching you go crazy. But it never actually addresses anything from your last Weibo post. Privately, they're having lawyers scour for evidence against me." "Whoever guided that statement should go be a screenwriter. They created a very layered character of a cheating, abusive man," she added. (Photo Source: Zhao Lusi IG)

Annie Yi annoyed over misconstrued statement about husband Qin Hao
4 Aug - Annie Yi recently expressed ire over netizens and the media misinterpreting her statement about husband Qin Hao. On 2 August, the singer reposted a statement from Qin Hao's studio warning fans to not disseminate false rumours about him, after the topic of "Annie Yi says Qin Hao rarely comes home" became trending on Weibo. "Please stop taking things out of context, okay? It's clear that Mr. Qin has stayed at home for nine months since after the New Year this year and hasn't taken on any acting roles. Not because of anything else, but because he was too busy in previous years. This year, he wants to be more selective with scripts and spend more time with his daughter. So, I also want to stay home and enjoy life as a family of three," she expressed. Annie added, "What era are we living in that people are still distorting facts like this? And there's no legal accountability?" The singer said that there were always provocation and drama in her previous relationship and now all kinds of rumours are being made up about her second marriage. "Can we all just live a little happier and bring some positivity to the world? A bit more blessing, and the world can become brighter. If we raise our energy, we'll live better, more abundantly. As for the rumours, we'll definitely use legal means to defend the truth," she added. The whole issue sparked after Annie revealed in a livestream that her husband had been so busy with filming commitments in recent years that he rarely came home, and her phone is mostly filled with photos of her daughter and herself. At 57, she said that she still feels romantically attached, admitting that she becomes restless if Qin Hao returns to their home in Shanghai. She later explained that she wasn't criticising her husband but expressing how much she cherished her family. (Photo Source: Annie Yi IG)
