The story talks about this girl who went to her school, only to never return the same. After being kidnapped, she was held hostage for 8 and a half years, she was locked in a basement, and was mentally and physically abused. The title of the film refers to the exact number of days she spent in isolation and torture.
The film is directed by Sherry Hormann, who shows Natascha's story with deep and emotional intensity. The role of 10 year 10-year-old girl, Natascha, is portrayed by Antonia Campbell-Hughes with utmost conviction. She also went through a realistic, physical transformation to do justice to the role. Thure Lindhardt will be seen playing the kidnapper who manipulates and controls the young girl brutally. The film is dark, emotionally draining, and not for the faint-hearted, but if you are a fan of horror films that will have you biting your nails, then it should be on your must-watch list.
Made on a humble budget of around 5–7 million dollars, the film collected approximately $6.68 million (around ₹55 crores). Although it did not hit gold at the box office, it later found its audience on OTT.
