Black Cat Who Insists on Exercising With Dad Is the Cutest Little Workout Buddy

Yahoo5 days ago

Meet Knuckles, the Black Cat who loves to hop on the treadmill and work out alongside his dad. Isn't he just the cutest little workout buddy!?
According to his human mama, Knuckles now requires working out on the treadmill six or seven times a day, and all at his "preferred speed," of course.
According to this video, Knuckles insists on walking on the treadmill so that he can work out alongside his human dad every time he gets on the exercise bike.
According to his human mama, Knuckles is "relentless in his desire to get on the treadmill." He is also very particular about his walking speed.
1.3 mph is too slow for the adorably named Knuckles, while 1.5 mph is just a little too fast for him. At these speeds, he will look around to let his humans know that he wants to go faster or get off the treadmill, and look at them to let them know that he wants to go faster.According to his human mama, 1.4 mph is the perfect walking speed for Knuckles. She notes that it's great that he enjoys walking on the treadmill so much.
When they first adopted him, they were told that he had Pectus Excavatum, which could make it hard for him to breathe if he put on extra weight.
According to PetMD, Pectus Excavatum in cats results from them being born with a sunken or concave chest cavity.
This chest cavity abnormality causes the heart to move out of place, which can squeeze its right side against parts of the lungs, creating a lung deficiency.
While this can be very serious, resulting in serious illness or even death in some cats, overall, Pectus Excavatum, which is Latin for "hollow breast," is very rare. So, thankfully, most of our feline companions will not be affected by it.

However, household in the UK is legally required to have a TV licence if they watch or record live TV, regardless of what channel it is on. The BBC confirmed to Cord Busters last year that viewers will need to purchase a TV Licence if they are to watch live events on streaming platforms. If viewers are caught watching live content without a TV licence, they could be fined up to £1,000. The majority of Disney+ content remains exempt from the TV Licence fee, as long as it is not being broadcast live. These are the occasions when you do not need a TV Licence. Concerns at Napa's La Onda festival after musicians' visas revoked

The Brief The popular regional Mexican band Grupo Firme announced they had to cancel Sunday night's performance after the U.S. government suspended the musicians' visas. The State Department has revoked visas of several Mexican artists over music it says glorifies cartel violence. Festival goers say they're upset, with some calling the move political, while organizers say they're disappointed by the development. NAPA, Calif. - There are concerns over federal immigration policy at a Napa music festival this weekend. A couple of the bands, including a very popular group from Mexico, were forced to pull out of La Onda over problems with their visas. "This is what we come here for right here," said Alfonzo Robles of Santa Rosa. "It's just the music, the ambiance," said Maria Rangel of Reno, Nevada. Music fans were having a blast at Festival La Onda, which features all sorts of Latin music acts. "We are big fans of Carin Leon," said Rangel. But it's who didn't take the stage that's raising some eyebrows. The regional Mexican band Grupo Firme announced on Instagram they had to cancel Sunday night's performance, after the U.S. government suspended the musicians' visas. The backstory The State Department has revoked the visas of several Mexican artists over music it says glorifies cartel violence – though Grupo Firme has recently taken steps to distance themselves from that lyrical content. What they're saying "I think it's sad," said Guadalupe Torres of Carson City, Nevada. "We're very, very disappointed," said Robles. "We all paid for this. This is what we came here for. And now [Grupo Firme] can't be here because of some political reason," said Robles. The Mexican group La Receta also pulled out of La Onda over reported visa issues as well. "They're not stealing anything, they come here to work," said singer Vilma Diaz of the Colombian group Sonora Tropicana, which did perform at La Onda this weekend. Big picture view "Artists don't know how to navigate the system right now. There's a lot of roadblocks that pop up unexpectedly," said Alex Ashley, a musician and journalist for Rolling Stone. Ashley says he's concerned foreign artists will give up on even trying to come to festivals like this. "When artists cancel or when events get canceled, you've got local economies that miss out. You've got hotel bookings, fewer ticket sales, jobs that get lost," said Ashley. A few people KTVU spoke to at the festival say those same concerns over immigration policy may have kept some concertgoers home as well. Local perspective "I'm pretty sure maybe it did affect some people because people don't want to go out. People don't want to go anywhere, do anything because they're afraid of these persecutions," said Robles. "To all my people, please don't be afraid," said Diaz. Festival goers say all this underscores why gatherings like La Onda are so important. "I think this just gives people the confidence to be out here and just feel that they have a community behind them," said Rangel. In a statement, David Graham, partner with Festival La Onda, said festival organizers understand and share in the disappointment, but added that organizers and performers are still dedicated to putting on an unforgettable show. "We are obviously disappointed that Grupo Firme was not able to play the festival due to visa issues," Graham said. "Our fans have been enjoying over two dozen incredible artists that are performing over the weekend. These are unprecedented and challenging times, and we remain committed to providing a memorable experience for fans of La Onda." This Is Why Doctor Who Fans Aren't All Convinced That Billie Piper Is Really The New Doctor

Doctor Who fans across the world were gagged on Saturday night when Billie Piper made an unexpected return to the franchise. After weeks of speculation about whether Ncuti Gatwa's time as The Doctor was coming to an end in the not-too-distant future, the most recent finale saw his character regenerating, after two seasons at the helm of the Tardis. What few could have foreseen would be that his character would regenerate into what appears to be a new incarnation of The Doctor, played by Billie Piper. Billie Piper IS the new Doctor 💙💫 # — Andrew McBride (@andrewmcb) May 31, 2025 Billie, of course, already has a long history with Doctor Who, starring in the role of Rose Tyler when the reboot first began airing 20 years ago. The Olivier winner's unexpected appearance led to a wide array of pretty much every reaction possible on social media, and a slew of headlines hailing her arrival as The Sixteenth Doctor. However, other fans are not convinced it's as simple as that. At the end of the first season of the Doctor Who revival, Rose ended up absorbing the heart of Tardis, becoming a new omniscient entity known as 'Bad Wolf'. Billie most recently appeared in Doctor Who for its 50th anniversary special, this time playing a different being altogether, known as 'The Moment'. So, given the fact that Billie has repeatedly popped up in the long-running sci-fi saga as a variety of different entities – not everyone in the Whovian fandom believes that her latest appearance necessarily means she's the new Doctor. Tellingly, her appearance in the final credits says simply 'introducing Billie Piper' rather than 'introducing Billie Piper as The Doctor', which is traditionally the terminology used when ushering in a new incarnation of the Time Lord… I didn't see one of these yesterday with everyone from Modern Who so I made one myself. But, there's something missing on the last one… #DoctorWho#doctorwhospoilers#DoctorWhofinale#TheRealityWar#ncutigatwa#billiepiper# — 𝓛𝓲𝓼𝓪 (𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓻𝔂'𝓼 𝓥𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷)💌🍒🍉🥝 (@LisasBeautySpot) June 1, 2025 Now did they forget to put Billie Piper as The Doctor or is there something else going on… — ᏝᏋᏇᎥᏕ (@SalamiSandwich4) May 31, 2025 Okay but where is the 'as the Doctor' in the credits # — beth 🫧🧚🏻✨🪩🌷 (@itsmebethh_) May 31, 2025 The fact that this does not have the words 'as the Doctor' is going to fuel a gazillion over-monetised clickbait YouTube takes between now and the start of the next series. # — Russell Merryman (@merryarty) May 31, 2025 Everyone failing to notice that Billie Piper was not 'introduced' as the Doctor in the credits, just as Billie Piper. Showrunner Russell T Davies also said: 'Billie once changed the whole of television, back in 2005, and now she's done it again! 'It's an honour and a hoot to welcome her back to the TARDIS, but quite how and why and who is a story yet to be told. After 62 years, the Doctor's adventures are only just beginning!' The Doctor has previously regenerated into a familiar face once before, when Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth became a new version of the Time Lord, played by David Tennant in his second stint in charge of the Tardis. It's not yet clear whether a new season of Doctor Who is currently on the cards, with tabloid speculation about the show being 'rested' at the end of its latest run. Last month, a BBC spokesperson told HuffPost UK: 'As we have previously stated, the decision on season three will be made after season two airs and any other claims are just pure speculation.'
