The wedding is set to take place aboard Bezos' $500million superyacht, Koru, in Venice, Italy

Around 200 guests are expected to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez' lavish wedding

Koru took five years to build
The week-long pre-wedding festivities are estimated to cost roughly $15 to $20 million (£12 to £16 million).
Around 200 guests are expected to attend the wedding of the 61-year-old Amazon founder and 55-year-old journalist fiancée.
Ahead of the wedding in Venice, local activists displayed large protest banners, reading 'No Space for Bezos' and 'If You Can Rent Venice for Your Wedding You Can Pay More Tax'.
They have also staged canal-blocking and waterside protests in a bid to stop the world's richest man from tying the knot in their city.

LA DOLCE VITA Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sanchez prepare for star-studded 3-day Venetian wedding
Organiser Federica Toninello told The New York Times that protesters have obtained leaked details of the couple's schedule and plan to disrupt events - including one reportedly set for the historic Misericordia.
Toninello told a crowd of 300 people: "Bezos will never get to the Misericordia", adding, "We will line the streets with our bodies, block the canals with lifesavers, dinghies and our boats."
Protesters say tourism in Venice has driven housing costs sky-high, forcing many locals out of the region.
But the couple's wedding organisers, Lanza & Baucina Limited, earlier hit back at suggestions that the couple's lavish wedding plans are not respectful of locals.
The organisers said in a statement to Page Six: "From the outset, instructions from our client and our own guiding principles were abundantly clear: the minimising of any disruption to the city, the respect for its residents and institutions and the overwhelming employment of locals in the crafting of the events."
The wedding planning company has worked with stars like George and Amal Clooney, as well as Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault.
$500m superyacht, $32k-night-hotels & a $2m ring… inside the Bezos wedding of the century in world's most beautiful city
Bezos proposed to Sánchez in 2023 aboard the yacht, presenting her with a 20-carat pink diamond ring worth $2.5 million.
The luxury vessel, Koru - named after the Māori word for 'loop' or 'coil' - symbolises new beginnings.
Measuring 417 feet in length with three towering masts over 230 feet high, Koru is currently the world's largest sailing yacht, according to Boat International.
The superyacht can reach speeds of up to 17 knots per hour, powered by twin, 1,500hp MTU diesel engines.
It cruises comfortably at 15 knots - about 2.25 knots faster than the average for similar vessels.
Said to have been first commissioned by Bezos in 2018, the yacht was built by Dutch yacht maker Oceanco near Rotterdam and delivered to Gibraltar in April 2023.
The superyacht's support vessel reportedly added another $75 million to the already staggering $500 million cost.
Its exterior design was completed by Dutch company Dykstra Naval Architects, while London-based company Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi completed its interior design.
Koru can host up to 18 guests in nine staterooms, along with around 36 crew members.
Its full features remain unclear, but Architectural Digest reports that Koru includes multiple outdoor lounging areas, three jacuzzis and a swimming pool.

Amazon slashes £16 off Crocs sandals that shoppers ‘can walk in for miles'
Amazon has slashed the price of Crocs' platform sandals by 36% in a limited time deal and shoppers have been praising their comfortability and lightweight feel Love them or hate them, there's no denying the Croc resurgence we've been seeing over the past few and heeled Crocs were spotted all over Simone Rocha's SS24 catwalk show, while new styles including flip flop Crocs and chunky platform Crocs have emerged, lending them a fashionable edge. And if you've not quite been convinced by the classic clog, you'll be pleased to hear that there's a slightly more fashion-forward and summer-appropriate style currently reduced on Amazon. The exact style we're talking about is the Getaway Platform H-Strap Sandal, which have been discounted from its usual £44.99 to £27 - £30 (depending on size). There are various colours available, however, it's is just the Quartz colour that has the limited-time 36% discount. These chunky sandals are a part of the Crocs' most comfortable collection yet, thanks to their Free Feel Technology that makes it feel like you're not even wearing anything on your feet. The straps are smooth and flexible, which ensures no rubbing or digging in and makes them perfect for long, hot days out. Not to mention the subtle platform is perfect if you want to add a little extra height without having to wear an uncomfortable heel or wedge. It's worth noting, however, these sandals have a wide, roomy fit so if you've got narrow feet, they may feel a little too loose. Shoppers can't seem to get enough of these chunky shoes, with hundreds of glowing reviews. One customer wrote: "I am a big Crocs fan and have had this style before but with a thinner platform. Well I am not disappointed, Crocs are really upping their game when it comes to comfort. I can walk in these for miles! Love them to bits, true to size and super quick dispatch" A seconded added: "I love these!!!. Comfortable, true to size and lightweight. Not had a blister yet and worn them a lot. Great price at £27 though they were more purple than they looked in the picture I still love them." The main criticism from shoppers was about sizing issues. A few claim that these run smaller, so we suggest sizing up from your usual to ensure ultimate comfortability. If the Quartz colourway is not your style, Crocs is also running a sale on this style at the moment with the black ones available for £31.49. In other sale news, Fitflop has kicked off its massive summer sale, which sees up to 40% off best-selling styles. Our top picks include the GEN-FF Leather Fisherman Sandals, now £98 down from £130, and the GEN-FF Leather Back-Strap Toe-Post Sandals, now £88 down from £125. Happy Crocing!

Fake tan that 'doesn't stain sheets' or 'go patchy' slashed to just £9 on Amazon
Amazon shoppers who have left glowing reviews for the best-selling fake tan product - and it's currently on sale Beauty enthusiasts are rushing to purchase a fake tan product that "ticks every box" and fulfils all the bronzing needs of those yearning for a sun-kissed glow just in time for summer. Bondi Sands' Liquid Gold Self Tanning Foam not only delivers a streak-free, uniform tan but also offers the benefit of being a no-rinse formula that doesn't stain white bed linen. Adding to its appeal, the tan is currently enjoying a significant price reduction. Typically retailing at £17.49 per bottle, Amazon has slashed the price by an impressive 44 per cent, offering it for just £9.74 for a limited time. If you're price comparing, this deal trumps the discounted prices currently available at Boots and Superdrug, and even includes free next-day delivery for Prime members. Over at Boots, Bondi Sands' Liquid Gold is priced at £11.66, while Superdrug has it marked at £11.65 for members. Bondi Sands' Liquid Gold Self Tanning Foam promises an 'Aussie tan in no time', developing within two to three hours without the need for rinsing. It dries rapidly, leaving skin with a radiant bronze glow. According to Manchester Evening News, its clear, non-transferable foam formula enriched with Argan oil leaves skin feeling luxuriously soft, and it features a coconut scent that shoppers describe as 'not overpowering'. Elsewhere, Coco & Eve's highly-rated Sunny Honey Gradual Tanning Lotion is currently £18.75 at Boots, down from its £25 RRP. Or if you want a darker tan that takes hold quickly, LookFantastic have the Loving Tan 2HR Express Mousse for £29.56, down from £36.95. Garnering an outstanding overall rating of 4.7 out of five stars from more than 200 reviews, customers are thoroughly impressed with this product. One satisfied customer shared: "I've been using this for ages now. Lovely colour, doesn't go streaky or patchy. Fades nicely. No overpowering smell and because it's clear, my bedsheets are still white." Another reviewer sang the product's praises: "I love this tan. I've tried nearly every tan out there and this is one of my favourites, it never goes patchy or streaky. It always looks natural and lasts longer than most tans I've used." A separate customer had a similarly positive experience, commenting: "Really good quality! Lasted me about a week without going patchy after showering several times too! You do have to re-apply it every week! But a lot better than some of the tans I've used!" Another enthusiastic user was thrilled with their results stating: "This product shocked me as the guide colour was very pale. Was worried it wouldn't show up. After about 4 or 5 hours the colour got nice and dark. Pleasantly surprised it didn't stain white sheets." Not everyone was entirely persuaded, with a critic noting: "So, first thing to address is the scent when you put it on, it is pleasant. It is very light in colour and really spreadable, which is good. "The colour starts to develop quickly but I barely noticed due to the lack of orange pigment, great. Could be darker, but seems buildable. Following on from developed colour (pre washing) I smell like biscuits, *but* fresh ones, not bad in my opinion. Only complaint is my hands smell like damp wicker, or pencils, if you know, you know." Should you be seeking a sun-kissed glow during the heatwave, the Bondi Sands mousse might just hit the mark. For those desiring a richer hue, we also recommend the Loving Tan's Deluxe Bronzing Mousse, currently on offer at £22.37. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
