Margaritaville at Sea will lean into longer cruises in 2027.
The cruise line is offering its first eight-night itineraries aboard its Tampa-based Margaritaville at Sea Islander ship. The 8-Night Mardi Gras Overnight & Mexico sailing will visit New Orleans and stay the night during Mardi Gras, with additional stops in Progreso and Cozumel.
'Perfectly timed for Mardi Gras, the stop in The Big Easy will give guests more time in port to experience the vibrant festivities before they return to the ship for the night,' the cruise line said in a news release Wednesday.

The 8-Night Jamaica & Western Caribbean cruise will also take passengers to Cozumel, along with Belize, Montego Bay in Jamaica, and George Town on Grand Cayman. Other new 2027 itineraries include seven and five-night cruises visiting destinations such as Mexico, the Bahamas and Key West.
Margaritaville at Sea launched with shorter two-night itineraries between Palm Beach and Grand Bahama Island on its first ship, but has increasingly offered longer cruises. The company recently announced its first 10-night cruise for 2026.
Available 2027 itineraries currently start at $368 per person based on double occupancy, according to Margaritaville at Sea's website. The line is running a 50% discount and offering free kids' fares until April 30.

Jellystone Park Locations Offer Families a Growing Array of Glamping Accommodations
Editor's note: A limited number of complimentary and discounted stays are available to qualified journalists, influencers and content creators. Submit requests here: SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts offer much more than organized family activities with Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear and some of the best water attractions in the campground industry. They also feature an ever-expanding array of family glamping units from beautifully appointed cabins to covered wagons, yurts, safari tents, treehouses, and other unique accommodations.'We offer everything from small cabins to huge bunkhouses and lodges that are popular for family reunions, weddings, anniversaries, and other special celebrations,' said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, the Southfield, Michigan-based company that franchises Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts across the United States and Canada. With more than 75 franchised locations, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts operates in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences. The Jellystone Park location in Glen, N.H., complements its cabin lineup with cozy glamping pods that sleep up to four as well as its unique Bear-A-Dise Bungalows, tiny home-type cabins that sleep two adults. The Jellystone Park location in Carver, Mass., complements its standard cabin lineup with miniature Bear Cub Glamping Pods that look like tiny cabins while the location in Tabor City, N.C., offers glamping options that include both cabins and yurts. Meanwhile, the Jellystone Park location near Dallas in Burleson, Texas complements its one- and two-bedroom cabins with furnished glamping tipis, covered wagons, and repurposed grain silos. The furnished tipis, which sleep up to 7, include a plush king-size bed, a set of queen/twin bunk beds, a futon, as well as heating and air-conditioning. The tipis come equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and a dinette set as well as private grill and picnic table. The location's furnished covered wagons sleep up to 6 people. They include a king-size bed and two sets of twin bunk beds, all with high-quality mattresses and linens. The covered wagons also have heating and air conditioning, a custom-made wagon wheel table with seating, a small fridge, and a microwave. Some of the Burleson location's more unique glamping units, however, are its two-story cabins that are made out of repurposed grain bins. Each grain bin cabin has a spiral staircase leading up to the second story, which features a half bath and two cozy bunk beds. The downstairs area has a full kitchen with plenty of room for preparing meals as well as a full bathroom. The Burleson location even has a 260-foot-long pirate ship with 10 two-bedroom vacation cabin suites, definitely not a typical campground accommodation. Meanwhile, the Jellystone Park location in Larkspur, Colo., complements offer elite cabins with hot tubs while the Jellystone Park in Mill Run, Penn., has two-story treehouses that look like something out of a children's storybook. The park's Appalachian Treehouse, for example, comes with its own tree shaped base, log cabin style siding, and a stone fireplace. The Jellystone Park location in Bostic, N.C., for its part, offers a variety of cabins and lodges as well as furnished lakeview glamping tents and treetop cabins, which are essentially cabins on stilts. Many Jellystone Park locations also offer bunkhouses and lodges that offer glamping-style experiences for family reunions and other special events, including the North Monmouth, Me. location, which has a beautiful four-bedroom house that sleeps up to 16 people. The house includes a fireplace and a six-burner stove. Some Jellystone Park glamping units are even larger. For example, the Fremont, Ind. location has a Three Bears Lodge that can sleep up to 19 people. Not to be outdone, the Jellystone Park location in Waller, Texas has a seven-bedroom Grand Lodge that can sleep up to 28 people. Several Jellystone Park franchisees are continuing to add more glamping accommodations. Here's a sampling of new family glamping units that will be available for rent this year: Colorado — Estes Park: This location is adding nine cabins for the 2025 season. Georgia — Bremen: This location is completing a major expansion that includes over 200 new RV sites, 71 cabins and 10 covered wagons. It is also in the process of adding a new swimming pool, water slides, a splashground, and a large lake with boats and other water features. Additionally, this location is converting its existing store into an activity center. — Cochran: This location is adding two furnished glamping tents. Ohio — Nova (Cleveland-Sandusky Market): This location added 72 premium RV sites last year as well as four cabins. Wisconsin — Caledonia: This location is adding two more of its top-of-the-line cabins, which sleep up to eight and feature a large screened porch with a fireplace and TV as well as a lofted deck. 'It's scary': Travelers caught off guard as travel ban rules come into effect
'It's scary': Travelers caught off guard as travel ban rules come into effect Show Caption Hide Caption What we know now about President Trump's new travel ban taking effect How could President Trump's travel ban or restriction of nearly 20 countries impact you? Here is what we know now. New travel restrictions from the Trump administration took effect Monday, impacting nearly 20 countries. The restrictions add limitations on visas and entry, causing anxiety for travelers at U.S. airports. Many travelers were unaware of the policy shift. NEW YORK — A new round of travel restrictions from the Trump administration quietly took effect Monday, catching many travelers off guard and sparking fresh anxiety for immigrants and visitors at U.S. airports. At New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, passengers arriving at Terminal 4 and their loved ones waiting to greet them seemed unaware of the policy shift. About a dozen people in the terminal's arrivals area told USA TODAY they were unfamiliar with the updated travel ban, which adds new limitations on visas and entry from almost 20 countries, part of the administration's continued efforts to tighten U.S. borders. The updated restrictions primarily target nationals from a select list of countries, but critics say the move sends a chilling message to immigrants and foreign visitors more broadly. 'It's scary. It makes me worried. It affects my decisions to go home to visit my family,' said Randy Wicaksana, 33, who has lived in the U.S. for about three years. Wicaksana, an Indonesian national, said he is preparing to return home later this month to renew his visa but is increasingly uncertain about what might await him when he comes to the U.S. again. There were no visible signs or announcements in the terminal to alert travelers to the new rules. The administration said the changes are meant to "combat terrorism" and "strengthen our borders." For travelers like Wicaksana, however, the law feels increasingly unpredictable. Which nationals are barred from entering the US? The full travel ban applies to nationals of the following 12 countries: Afghanistan Burma (Myanmar) Chad Republic of the Congo Equatorial Guinea Eritrea Haiti Iran Libya Somalia Sudan Yemen Additionally, partial restrictions are imposed on nationals from: Burundi Cuba Laos Sierra Leone Togo Turkmenistan Venezuela What happens to travelers from these countries when they arrive at an airport? Travelers from the fully banned countries who attempt to enter the U.S. after the ban takes effect will likely be denied boarding by airlines or turned away upon arrival in the U.S. Those from partially restricted countries may face additional scrutiny, delays, or denial of entry, depending on their visa type and purpose of travel. What will happen to those with tickets already? Individuals from the affected countries who have already purchased tickets to travel to the U.S. should consult with their airlines and the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. While some exceptions exist, most travelers from the fully banned countries are expected to be denied entry. Those from partially restricted countries may still be allowed to travel, subject to additional screening and requirements. Travelers are advised to review the latest guidance from the U.S. Department of State and consult with immigration attorneys if they have concerns about their eligibility to enter the U.S. under the new proclamation. This Gulf Coast City Is the Top Trending U.S. Destination This Summer, According to Kayak
Searches for Tampa are up a whopping 85 percent year over year, according to new Kayak data—but this Floridian isn't surprised. With its growing food scene, ever-expanding walkable waterfront, and proximity to some of Florida's best beaches, Tampa is heating up this summer in more ways than one. Here's how to make the most of a summertime trip to this trending Gulf Coast city. First time in Tampa? Start with a stroll along the 2.6-mile Tampa Riverwalk, which connects downtown attractions, parks, and businesses along the Hillsborough River. Visit cultural attractions like the Tampa Museum of Art and the Florida Aquarium to beat the heat, or hop aboard a Pirate Water Taxi for a breezy ride. In the summer, locals love cooling down with a scoop from local favorite Chill Bros (get it in a homemade waffle cone—trust) or arriving by boat to Rick's on the River for seafood and cold drinks. Tampa's historic cigar district is a can't-miss—this is Cigar City, after all. Beyond the iconic Columbia Restaurant (don't skip the Original 1905 Salad, tossed tableside and named for the year the restaurant was founded), you'll find trendy cocktail bars like Hotel Haya's Flor Fina, where a massive atrium gives you the sunshiney vibes of the outside without having to sacrifice air conditioning. (Outdoor-feeling indoor spaces are how we natives survive summer in Florida, by the way.) Duck into King State for craft beer and third-wave coffee, all under one roof, or browse the funky vintage shops along 7th Avenue. Clearwater Beach is a Tampa Bay–area classic and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is great for families. But savvy travelers can skip the summer beach crowds and head to Pass-a-Grille, a quaint and quiet stretch of sand just south of St. Pete Beach. It's about 45 minutes from downtown Tampa and has pastel cottages, funky seafood joints, and some of the best sunset views in Florida—complete with a nightly sunset bell-ringing tradition. Just remember that while beaches and summertime go hand in hand, so does a higher UV index and sunburn. Hydrate and slather on the SPF accordingly. Tampa is a sports town through and through, home to the Rays (baseball), the Lightning (ice hockey), and the Buccaneers (football). While ice hockey and football games don't resume until the fall, you can catch a MLB game in Tampa during the summer. The Tampa Bay Rays have home games scheduled throughout June, July, August, and September, including matchups against the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, and St. Louis Cardinals. Many Floridians prioritize indoor activities during the sweltering summer months, but summer is still a nice time for a golden-hour paddle through mangrove tunnels at Weedon Island Preserve or even a clear kayak tour of Shell Key Preserve. During the hottest part of the day, explore Tampa's indoor (or at least shaded) food halls and local breweries. Armature Works is a buzzy mixed-use hub in a restored streetcar warehouse with sweeping river views, while Cigar City Brewing is the heart of Tampa's craft beer scene with their iconic Jai Alai and Florida Man IPAs. If you do decide to brave Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in the summer (couldn't be me), spare yourself the heat stroke and go by night: the park's Summer Nights promotion features extended summertime hours that keep the park open late from May 23 to Aug. 10.
