The show is produced by Little Nalu Pictures and distributed by Viva Pictures Distribution. It was the TV debut of AAPI comedians such as Atsuko Okatsuka, Joey Guila, Robin Tran and Jiaoying Summers.
Seasons 1 and 2 premiered on Hulu as an exclusive in 2018, and both are now streaming on Peacock, Tubi and Prime Video. Season 3 is set for principal photography in July.
'With Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) a hot-button in the national discussion, it's even more important that shows like Comedy InvAsian III exist, said Sakai. 'Asian American diversity in television broadens narratives, enriches our culture, and inspires future generations to embrace their heritage.'
'We're incredibly proud to help bring this next wave of talented comedians to a global stage,' added Elizade, President of Viva Pictures. 'Comedy has the unique power to connect us through shared laughter, while also spotlighting personal experiences that are as diverse as they are universally relatable. There's nothing better than comedy that cracks you up and opens your eyes – and Comedy InvAsian III does both.'
Elizalde also produces Entre Nos, the LatinX stand-up comedy show that runs on HBO.
'I'm thrilled to be working with the original gangstas who started the Comedy InvAsian party and having some fun together,' said Lee, who co-created Comedy InvAsian and spinoff series Comedy Invasion, which won the 2024 Canadian Screen Award for Best Comedy Special.
This comes as Lee pitches Morning, Paris! at the Canada-France Series Lab at Series Mania in Lille, France today. The initiative is a joint venture between Series Mania, Telefilm Canada and the CNC.
Lee's show follows Chanel Lee, a 29-year-old aspiring fashion designer from Vancouver, who flies to Paris with Tristan Nahanee, a security guard with an enigmatic past, without informing her boss, Benoit Petit. The unlikely duo, who producers say embody 'a comical reinvention of The Odd Couple' as they 'navigate the chaos of crashing Paris Fashion Week as Chanel experiences the city's magic for the first time.'
'At its heart, Morning, Paris! is a story about a cross-cultural fashion enthusiast and underdog, driven by passion and ambition, striving to break into the exclusive Parisian fashion world,' said Lee.

Mads Mikkelsen Returns as Bond Villain Le Chiffre in HITMAN x 007: FIRST LIGHT Video Game Crossover Event — GeekTyrant

Mads Mikkelsen is stepping back into villain mode—and not just any villain. Seventeen years after facing off with James Bond in Casino Royale , Mikkelsen is reprising his role as the cold-blooded Le Chiffre for a crossover event that brings IO Interactive's Hitman series face-to-face with its highly anticipated Bond game, 007 :First Light . This past weekend, Le Chiffre officially became the newest Elusive Target in Hitman , available across all major platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and even the newly released Nintendo Switch 2. Players have until July 6th to hunt him down in a new mission titled The Banker. Mikkelsen himself provides the voice. According to the official event description: 'Mads Mikkelsen returns as Le Chiffre, the iconic private banker to the criminal underworld, known for his mastery of games of chance and probability. 'A recent failed venture left him in dire straits, losing vast sums of both legitimate and illicit capital, and in a desperate bid to recover, he has arranged a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Monarchique in Paris. 'Agent 47 has been tasked with infiltrating the perilous event and will have to find his way to his target to prevent havoc being wreaked across the world.' IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios announced the crossover during Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles, where Mikkelsen took the stage with IO CEO Hakan Abrak to reveal the collaboration. The event doubles as a promo for IO's upcoming Bond title 007: First Light , set for release in 2026. There's also a little bonus for players: anyone who takes out Le Chiffre during the limited-time Hitman mission and has an IOI account will unlock an exclusive casino suit for 007: First Light . It's pretty cool that Mikkelsen is playing Le Chiffre again after all these years. He's easily one of the most memorable Bond villains of the modern era.

Courvoisier Debuts New Ad Campaign Starring Karrueche Tran

Cognac brand Courvoisier launched its new campaign, 'Bring Your Own Courvoisier,' which stars ... More actress Karrueche Tran. Courvoisier is hoping some star power—and a dash of lemonade—can inspire drinkers to kick off their evening with the French brandy. The brand's new 'Bring Your Own Courvoisier' ad campaign, starring actress Karrueche Tran and fashion stylish and influencer Bloody Osiris, debuts this week and will run on social channels including TikTok and Instagram. Directed by filmmaker Mark Anthony Green, it is the first major ad blitz backed by Aperol maker Campari since it paid $1.2 billion to acquire the cognac brand from Suntory Global Spirits in a deal that closed last year. Allison Varone, the head of marketing at Campari America, tells me in a virtual interview that Courvoisier is a brand that has high awareness, but that much of the affinity for the cognac comes from the 1980s and 1990s. 'People know the brand, but we want to reintroduce it back into their repertoire,' says Varone. To reacquaint drinkers with the brand, Campari hopes to entice more casual and daytime drinking occasions. Since the pandemic, consumers have been shifting their drinking more to brunch, the park, and other outdoor occasions in the daylight, and less late night partying. There's been a notable shift away from late night clubbing, a trend that's also correlated with Gen Z drinking less alcohol than prior generations. Lighter cocktails, often led by spritzes, have been more on trend. That's a pivot away from high octane moments that many have associated with Courvoisier over the decades, encapsulated in the late-night party music video for rapper Busta Rhymes' popular 2002 hit 'Pass the Courvoisier.' To reacquaint drinkers with Courvoisier, the cognac brand's owner Campari hopes to entice more ... More casual and daytime drinking occasions. 'Consumers have moved to lighter occasions, casual occasions, and daytime occasions,' says Varone. To that end, Courvoisier has been focusing on a lighter cocktail, mixing the cognac with lemonade. The mixture is depicted in the ad and held by Tran as she toasts with Bloody Osiris, who has a Courvoisier on the rocks. Another element of the 'Bring Your Own Courvoisier' campaign is a series of more informal, early evening gatherings that the cognac brand will host throughout the year, inspired by the French culinary tradition called 'dînatoire.' Campari's big marketing plans to reintroduce Courvoisier comes at a particularly challenging time for the cognac category. Cognac posted record growth in 2021 and again in 2022, but shipments tumbled by 22% to 165.3 million bottles, according to the industry's decision-making body the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac, and only grew by less than 1% in 2024. The 'Bring Your Own Courvoisier' cognac ad campaign was directed by Mark Anthony Green (left) and ... More stars actress Karrueche Tran (center) and fashion guru Bloody Osiris. The 'Big Four' cognac houses—Courvoisier, Rémy Martin, Hennessy and Martell—have faced geopolitical challenges in two of the industry's most vital markets. A trade dispute between China and France has badly bruised sales for the industry's titans, while in the U.S., import tariffs on many European goods—including cognac—have been an ongoing challenge. The industry also had to work through elevated stockpiles of cognac in the U.S. after demand spiked during the pandemic. 'There's a very evolving situation right now within the industry, so we're watching it very closely,' acknowledges Varone. 'But our strategy is really to just lean in on making sure that the brand is relevant to our consumers, relevant in culture, relevant in their everyday lives and making sure that Courvoisier is part of their repertoire.'
