In a recent conversation with Instant Bollywood, Bobby spoke about his sons Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol venturing into the film industry and making their mark as actors.
Bobby Deol said, " Maine kaha padho, a ap kuch aur karo lekin main yeh nahin keh raha ki aap kuch aur hi karo. Maine unko kabhi roka nahin ki actor ban na hai to bano. Maine yeh nai bola ki mat bano (I asked them to study and explore other things. That didn't mean stressing about doing something else. I never stopped them, and if they want to be an actor, go ahead. I never said don't become an actor)."
He further added, " Wo mehnat kar rahe hain, assist kar rahe hain directors ko aur photographers ko, aur seekh rahe hain, samajh rahe hain (They are working hard, assisting directors and photographers, learning and understanding)."
He further spoke about how both his sons are hard working. Bobby being the youngest in the family, has always had the urge to protect his children. However, he soon realised that they needed to face life's many challenges and learn from them.
On the work front, Bobby Deol will next be seen in Alpha with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.

'In a country that has 1.8 billion people and 70–80 percent of those earn ₹100 a day, when we start seeing things in that light, we realise we have a big place to catch up." For Rana, who hails from the Telugu film industry, work culture isn't just professional—it's personal. 'I come from an industry that moved from Madras. It was a bunch of families and hundreds of others who packed their bags and started over in another city. So to me, it's not work—it's a lifestyle." He went on to emphasize that working conditions vary widely across regional film industries and even across individual projects. 'Like in Maharashtra, it's a 12-hour shift. In Telugu, it's 8 hours. But while Maharashtra starts at 9 am, Telugu starts at 7 am. If you're on location or in a studio, if you're shooting on a set—it all affects the equation. It's never generic," he explained. Addressing concerns around actors being overworked or forced to stay longer on set, Rana was clear: 'Nobody is forcing anybody. It's a job. Just like nobody forces you to do a particular show—it's always a choice. Everyone decides what's important in their life. There are actors who shoot for only 4 hours—that's their system." Earlier, Deepika's decision to walk away from Spirit was met with a public outburst from Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In a fiery post on X, he lashed out without naming her directly. 'There is an unsaid NDA between us. But by doing this, you've 'disclosed' the person that you are," he wrote. She also wanted — it was claimed — a remuneration of ₹20-25 crore, and extra pay for shoots extending beyond 100 days. These demands reportedly did not sit well with the film's director, and Padukone was soon replaced by actor Triptii Dimri, who featured in Vanga's Animal. Vanga later took to social media, fulminating against the situation and alleging 'Dirty PR games'. In January this year, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighting poor work conditions and exploitative practices in the film industry. The letter highlighted '16 to 20 hours a day without holidays, proper breaks or rest'. Actor Pankaj Tripathi, in a recent interview, revealed the same: 'The work hours are getting stretched. I am working 16 to 18 hours on end.' Radhika Apte recently asserted that the industry isn't conducive to new mothers. Apte currently lives in London with her husband and newborn daughter. 'It's really difficult to work in our film industry, given the number of hours and how we film generally, and the time for which we don't get to see the child. So I guess I'll just have to figure it out now,' she told Indian Express. Industry's response Padukone's seeming advocacy of sustainable work hours has started a conversation in the popular sphere. At an event, asked about the demand for eight-hour shifts for new mothers, actor Kajol said: 'I would love the fact that you can work less.' Kajol's daughter Nysa was an infant when Kajol filmed for Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan. At the same event, Ajay Devgn said that the industry has taken positively to this demand. 'Most of the honest filmmakers will not have problems with it. Apart from this, being a mother and working for eight hours, most people have started working eight-to nine-hour shifts,' he said, adding, 'It's person to person, and I feel most of the industry understands this.' Saif Ali Khan, Mani Ratnam and Barun Sobti also joined the chorus for better work-life balance. However, the Producers Guild of India (PGI) and the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA) are yet to comment on the issue. Deepika's upcoming films The Deepika news cycle has been representative of the speculation media ecosystem. On June 5, unconfirmed reports, citing an Instagram page with two million followers, claimed that Deepika had been dropped from Nag Ashwin's Kalki sequel. The first film, Kalki 2898 AD, a dystopian sci-fi fantasy, featured Deepika as a central character alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. In the wake of the Spirit controversy, it was rumoured that the actor's demand for shorter work caused 'friction on set', a claim that later was rubbished by a source close to the film. Speaking to NDTV, the source said, 'No shoot, no sets, no interaction and therefore, no question of a fallout.'
