Tyson Fury delivers emphatic response to Oleksandr Usyk's call for a trilogy fight - as the Gypsy King gears up for another retirement U-turn
Tyson Fury has declared himself ready to return to the ring to face Oleksandr Usyk for the third time.
Fury was beaten twice by Usyk last year, and announced his retirement from boxing in January, just weeks after his second loss to the Ukrainian.
But Usyk is not convinced Fury is done with the sport, and has claimed he would like a trilogy bout with either Fury or Anthony Joshua if he gets past Daniel Dubois in their rematch at Wembley Stadium on July 19.
Usyk has claimed he will only fight twice more before hanging up his gloves, with a clash against Fury or Joshua set to bring the curtain down on his glittering career.
And Fury has now answered Usyk's call-out by insisting he is ready to face his rival once more, but this time wants it to happen in the UK after losing both their previous contests in Saudi Arabia.
Commenting on The Stomping Ground's Instagram post that revealed Usyk's preferred final opponent, Fury wrote: 'Beat the f***er 2 times the world knows the truth.
'Any time, any place. Sucker, UK next time 100k people.'
Fury may have been inspired to push for a stadium fight after seeing the success of Chris Eubank Jr's grudge match with Conor Benn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night.
Eubank Jr emerged victorious in front of 67,000 fans in a fight of the year contender, and Fury may fancy his chances of replicating those scenes himself.
The Gypsy King has previously had two stadium fights, beating Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora at Wembley and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, respectively, in 2022.
Fury has come out of retirement on multiple occasions before, and his latest announcement at the start of the year was met with some scepticism by fans.
He gave a major hint that he is planning to make a comeback on Monday when he posted a video on social media of himself linking up with his trainer SugarHill Steward.
In the short clip, Fury told his 6.8million followers: 'I'm just in the gym and happened to bump into somebody you might know. We are back.'
He panned across to Steward, who replied: 'You know what time it is.'

Pointing down the camera, Fury then quipped: 'You know what's coming.'
Fury now looks set to make another comeback, but will first have to see if Usyk beats his fellow Brit Dubois this summer.
In the meantime, Fury could take on another challenge and finally face Anthony Joshua.
A fight between Fury and Joshua has been mooted for years but has never materialised.
It could now be the time for the domestic dust-up to take place, with the winner potentially earning the right to take on Usyk.

Tyson Fury, who will co-manage England at Soccer Aid, has been taunted by the likes of British rivals Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua, who have referred to the Gypsy King by his other name Rumours have abounded over the years that Tyson Fury isn't the boxing legend and Soccer Aid manager's real name. And those rumours have been fuelled by two of his biggest domestic rivals, Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua. Fury and Whyte fought at Wembley in 2022, with the Gypsy King scoring a sixth-round knockout in front of 90,000 fans to retain his world titles. The following year, Whyte took a verbal shot at Fury by claiming his name was 'Luke', not Tyson. "My real name is Dillian. I know his real name is Luke,' he told The Sun. "He changed it to Tyson to make himself sound harder. People can have a little look around on the internet and see for themselves. 'In boxing, the name Tyson is a lot more sellable than Luke. A lot of what Tyson does and says is a game, you can never take anything he says seriously or at face value. How can you trust a man who doesn't even use his own name?" On the same theme, Joshua weighed in as exhaustive talks over arranging their long-awaited grudge match continued. Mike Tyson's heyday was in 1988 [the year Fury was born] - very fitting that I should go on to be the heavyweight champion of the world.' After announcing his boxing retirement in January, shortly after his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, Fury's focus is currently on football as he prepares to joint-manage England with Wayne Rooney against the World XI at Soccer Aid on Sunday. Speaking ahead of the Old Trafford charity match, the Gypsy King said: 'I might put a bit of the old boxing side of it into the footballers, and see if we can make them a little bit tougher, a little bit fitter. 'Some of these guys are getting on a bit, whip them back into shape [with] body sparring, heavy bag drills, pad work, I can think of a lot of stuff.' Max Verstappen has snapped back at continued questions over a potential race ban given his penalty points situation after he was beaten to pole position in Canada by George Russell Max Verstappen was left fuming as he again had to face questions over a possible race ban and admitted its "really p***ing me off". The Red Bull driver is one penalty point away from being hit with a race ban. His antics at the recent Spanish Grand Prix, where he drove into rival George Russell, saw him have more points added to his licence and he will drive at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix knowing he must toe the line. Verstappen is known for his aggressive style, which has been a hallmark throughout his career, and the Dutchman may have to show a more measured approach at Montreal if he doesn't want to be absent from the grid later down the line. It was Russell whom he clashed with in Barcelona and the pair have history, exchanging verbals in the past. They have drawn a line in the sand but the saga continues to be bought up and Verstappen had enough as he snapped at one question. As F1's Tom Clarkson began a question about Verstappen's penalty points as well as his rivalry with Russell but the defending world champion quickly stopped him in his tracks and said: "I don't need to hear it again." He then added: It's really p***ing me off. You [the media] speaking about it on Thursday, it's such a waste of time. It's childish. It's really annoying this world that we live in.' Russell meanwhile appears more than happy to poke the bear after landing pole position with a stunning lap in Montreal. He stuck his Mercedes ahead of Verstappen, who will start second ahead of world championship leader Oscar Piastri going into Turn 1. When he was asked about his pole lap the Mercedes star smirked and said: "I've got a few more points on my licence to play with." That drew some cheers but also audible boos from fans in the stands at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Brit added: "To be honest that last lap was probably one of the most exhilarating laps of my life. I got into the last corner and I was six tenths up and I was like, 'This lap is mighty'. Crossing the line and seeing we were P1 was a real surprise, but I was so chuffed with it." Russell had whooped with delight over the radio after his pole was confirmed and shouted: "What a f****** lap!" The same could not be said about Lando Norris, who was under pressure in the final round of qualifying after fluffing his opening lap. The best he could muster after that issue was seventh as his engineer looked to re-inspire his confidence over team radio. It gives Norris plenty to do as he looks to close on his team-mate. He said: "A tough Qualifying and not the result I was after. We were lacking a little bit of pace to the quickest cars, and I've pushed a bit too much to try and find that."
