Jake Paul doubles down on Anthony Joshua claim as boxer provides fight update

The 'Problem Child' has provided a major update on the potential heavyweight showdown after the two boxers agreed to a fight next year YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul has expressed confidence in arranging a fight with two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. The social media star grabbed the headlines earlier this year after he openly challenged Joshua on his YouTube channel 'BS with Jake Paul,' stating: "I want to fight Anthony Joshua because I know I will f***ing beat Anthony Joshua's a**. He doesn't have a chin and he has no skill and he's stiff. I love you, Anthony, we're friends and all this s*** but I want to fight you. I will beat Canelo, I will beat a lot of f***ing people." ‌ Following their exchange, the pair promptly agreed over the phone to a future fight. During an interview with Ariel Helwani, Paul provided the latest on a potential clash between the two boxing stars. "Yeah, we talked on the phone for like ten minutes and we're both down. I said 2026 and he was like, 'Alright, let's get it,'" he said. ‌ "We're gonna make it happen so I think that's going to be a mega-fight next year and something fun to test my skills at heavyweight. But I think his chin's gone and especially if he fights another time or two in between the end of 2026. I love Anthony, he's always supported me, I've always supported him but I just do believe I can beat him in a fight." Joshua has confirmed he won't be stepping back into the ring until December at the earliest. 'AJ', hasn't fought since his shocking fifth-round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois last September. Speaking to ESPN about his plans, Joshua stated: "December, I'll fight again. That's when I want to fight again. I want to take some time and then I'll go in December." When quizzed about his British rival Tyson Fury, Joshua responded: "Don't worry about him, he says a lot of stuff. I just want to get my body feeling good and my mind is going to be right and then I'll fight. No problem!" As speculation mounts over a potential showdown between Paul and Joshua, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has issued a stern warning to the American YouTuber, suggesting that the 'Problem Child' may not fully comprehend the risks of facing his star client. Speaking to The Stomping Ground, Hearn said: "The reason [people] are in to it is because it is so dangerous. [They think] if he hits Jake Paul, his head could actually detach from his neck. That's the world we live in. If it's what you want to see, I'm sure AJ would give you what you want. But unless you're going to do it next, don't talk about it. If you're going to do it next, we'll do it. AJ is not defending a belt, he's not trying to unify, he's not trying to become undisputed. We're looking for an opponent. "If it's Jake Paul, it's a massive payday and a straightforward job. If I was walking into the ring to fight Jake Paul, I wouldn't be nervous. I could be competitive. It is impossible [Paul beats Joshua]. Jake Paul probably could have a dozen or so free shots on AJ's chin and it wouldn't even [faze him]. Respect to Jake, he wants to make the big moments and he'd make crazy money for that fight. If you want to do it, do it, but understand the dangers of that fight."

Tyson Fury's new purchase suggests he has made final decision on comeback

The 'Gypsy King' announced his retirement after losing to Oleksandr Usyk, but many feel as if the former two-time heavyweight champion is set to return to action Tyson Fury looks set to make a retirement U-turn after his manager confirmed the former world champion has bought a new pair of boxing boots. The 'Gypsy King' announced his retirement back in January after suffering a second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. Many had hoped to see Fury and long-time rival Anthony Joshua go head-to-head in the ring this year. While that seemed unlikely at first, it seems as if the two-time heavyweight champion could be making yet another boxing comeback. ‌ During a recent interview with iFL TV, Fury's manager Spencer Brown teased a possible comeback for the Brit after revealing his client made a rather eye-catching purchase. "Well, he has bought a new pair of boxing boots, so what does that tell you?" he said. ‌ "I was with him the other day up in Scotland, we had a great time, he was happy, he had a couple of Guinnesses, and he does look in good nick. But he has bought himself a new pair of boxing boots and some new boxing shorts. You will know soon enough, won't you? He gave you a little bit of an appetiser. We will see [whether he returns], but all good things come when they are ready." Brown's comments come just days after Fury uploaded a short video in the gym alongside trainer SugarHill Steward. Fury, 36, who was sweating slightly after potentially wrapping up a workout said: "Just in the gym, happened to bump into somebody you might know." He then shifted the camera towards the direction of an energetic and happy SugarHill - who replied: "You know what time it is!" The 'Gypsy King' had the last say before ending the story: "You know what's coming," he said. The Brit later suggested he's ready for a trilogy fight with Usyk, stating: "Any time, any place." In an interview with The Stomping Ground, the Ukrainian was asked bout fighting Fury again, saying: "Maybe it's Tyson Fury. Maybe it's Anthony Joshua." He then added on Fury: "He's not retired. I think Tyson will continue training, continue boxing, because he's a great man. Yes, Tyson Fury... a lot of speak - blah blah blah blah - but it's good. Great man, wow." Responding to an Instagram post of the interview, Fury wrote: "Beat the f***er two times the world knows the truth. Any time, any place. sucher (sic) UK next time 100k people." That said, fans are hoping to witness a historic all-British clash between Joshua and Fury. 'AJ' recently confirmed he will not return to the gym until July as he prepares to have surgery on his elbow. The former two-time heavyweight world champion has not fought since he was brutally knocked out inside five rounds by Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium last September. "When do you want me back, people?" he asked on DAZN before Canelo Alvarez took to the ring to face William Scull earlier this month. "I'm trying to get my body right. I have got to actually have a little surgery on my elbow. "A small surgery sometime in May. I'm finalising the details... that will see me out of the gym for maybe six to eight weeks, and then when I'm healed, I will be back."

Tyson Fury shows his true colours with worrying OIeksandr Usyk claim

Tyson Fury has not taken kindly to Oleksandr Usyk's comments on his two defeats and has refused to accept he lost to the Ukrainian as he eyes a return to the ring Tyson Fury has yet to come to terms with his two losses to Oleksandr Usyk as he eyes a comeback. Despite announcing his retirement from the sport in January following a second defeat at the hands of Usyk, who is gearing up for a Wembley showdown with Daniel Dubois on July 19, Fury seems poised for a return. This comes after Usyk hinted he only plans to fight twice more. When probed by The Stomping Ground about a potential third fight with Fury, Usyk teased: "Maybe it's Tyson Fury. Maybe it's Anthony Joshua." ‌ Speaking specifically about Fury, Usyk remarked: "He's not retired. I think Tyson will continue training, continue boxing, because he's a great man. Yes, Tyson Fury... a lot of speak - blah blah blah blah - but it's good. Great man, wow." Not one to stay silent, Fury clapped back on Instagram replying to the interview post, boasting: "Beat the f***er two times, the world knows the truth. Any time, any place. sucker UK next time 100k people." ‌ Fury stirred the pot further with a video posted on social media alongside former trainer SugarHill Steward, hinting at a possible return to the ring. In the video, the Gypsy King teases: "Just in the gym, happened to bump into somebody you might know." The camera then pans to Steward who playfully suggests: "You know what time it is!" to which Fury responds in kind, "You know what's coming." Spencer Brown, the manager for the 'Gypsy King' Tyson Fury, had a chinwag with iFL TV and shared how the heavyweight champ is faring. "I spoke to him last week, he's really happy. Really happy. He's getting a little bit bored but he was really happy," Brown revealed. Not only did he share Fury's current mood, but Brown also dished on what Tyson's been up to lately: "I think he went to a nice birthday party over the weekend and had a few beers. Just speaking to him gives you a bit of light in your life because he makes you smile and he doesn't anything too seriously." The topic naturally moved on to the titan's future within the ropes, where Brown confirmed, "Is he going to fight again? He's retired. He might be getting a little bit bored at the moment but that's just a natural thing. He's just enjoying himself, he's running everyday." And it seems the boxing behemoth has been keeping in shipshape condition, as Brown complimented: "He's really looking good. He's tanned, he's fit. He looks good. I was quite surprised when I saw him. He's usually eating Jelly Babies and sweets but this time none of that. He's proper on his diet." As buzz builds around Fury's potential comeback fight, all eyes are turning towards a British brawl against Anthony Joshua who's set to bounce back into training in July following an injury. Last seen in the ring getting roughed up by Dubois within five rounds at Wembley last September, Joshua will likely be Fury's opponent if the latter laces up his gloves again.

Tyson Fury delivers emphatic response to Oleksandr Usyk's call for a trilogy fight - as the Gypsy King gears up for another retirement U-turn

Tyson Fury has declared himself ready to return to the ring to face Oleksandr Usyk for the third time. Fury was beaten twice by Usyk last year, and announced his retirement from boxing in January, just weeks after his second loss to the Ukrainian. But Usyk is not convinced Fury is done with the sport, and has claimed he would like a trilogy bout with either Fury or Anthony Joshua if he gets past Daniel Dubois in their rematch at Wembley Stadium on July 19. Usyk has claimed he will only fight twice more before hanging up his gloves, with a clash against Fury or Joshua set to bring the curtain down on his glittering career. And Fury has now answered Usyk's call-out by insisting he is ready to face his rival once more, but this time wants it to happen in the UK after losing both their previous contests in Saudi Arabia. Commenting on The Stomping Ground's Instagram post that revealed Usyk's preferred final opponent, Fury wrote: 'Beat the f***er 2 times the world knows the truth. 'Any time, any place. Sucker, UK next time 100k people.' Fury may have been inspired to push for a stadium fight after seeing the success of Chris Eubank Jr's grudge match with Conor Benn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night. Eubank Jr emerged victorious in front of 67,000 fans in a fight of the year contender, and Fury may fancy his chances of replicating those scenes himself. The Gypsy King has previously had two stadium fights, beating Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora at Wembley and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, respectively, in 2022. Fury has come out of retirement on multiple occasions before, and his latest announcement at the start of the year was met with some scepticism by fans. He gave a major hint that he is planning to make a comeback on Monday when he posted a video on social media of himself linking up with his trainer SugarHill Steward. In the short clip, Fury told his 6.8million followers: 'I'm just in the gym and happened to bump into somebody you might know. We are back.' He panned across to Steward, who replied: 'You know what time it is.' Fury looks set to make another retirement U-turn, and fans are still keen to see him finally fight Anthony Joshua Pointing down the camera, Fury then quipped: 'You know what's coming.' Fury now looks set to make another comeback, but will first have to see if Usyk beats his fellow Brit Dubois this summer. In the meantime, Fury could take on another challenge and finally face Anthony Joshua. A fight between Fury and Joshua has been mooted for years but has never materialised. It could now be the time for the domestic dust-up to take place, with the winner potentially earning the right to take on Usyk.

Tyson Fury says he'll come out of retirement for Oleksandr Usyk trilogy fight

Tyson Fury responded to an Instagram post saying he would like to return to the ring to fight old foe Oleksandr Usyk, who has beaten him twice before the Brit's retirement in January Tyson Fury says he's ready for a third Oleksandr Usyk fight "any time, any place", fuelling suggestions that he is about to come out of retirement. The Gypsy King announced his retirement from boxing in January following his second defeat to Usyk, who will fight Daniel Dubois at Wembley on July 19. The Ukrainian has said that he will have one more fight after taking on Dubois, with plenty of fight fans hoping to see him in the ring with Fury one more time. ‌ Speaking to The Stomping Ground, Usyk was asked about fighting Futy again and said: "Maybe it's Tyson Fury. Maybe it's Anthony Joshua." He then added on Fury: "He's not retired. I think Tyson will continue training, continue boxing, because he's a great man. Yes, Tyson Fury... a lot of speak - blah blah blah blah - but it's good. Fury has sparked speculation that he could soon make a return after posting a video of himself with former trainer SugarHill Steward on social media. The Gypsy King said: "Just in the gym, happened to bump into somebody you might know." He then shifted the camera towards Steward - who replied: "You know what time it is!"
