7 of our favorite deals from Amazon's 48-hour Pet Day sale
Amazon's Pet Day event has arrived, making it a great time to score deals on some of our favorite pet gadgets. From self-cleaning litter boxes to treat-tossing cameras and automatic feeders, these deals are especially useful if you're heading out of town this summer. Even if you're staying close to home, though, there's something for everyone, whether you want to check in on your pet while you're at work or cut down on chores.
Below, we've compiled our favorite Amazon Pet Day deals, many of which have helped make life easier for many of us at The Verge. Hopefully, they'll make things simpler for you, too.
If you're tired of scooping cat litter every day, the Litter-Robot 4 is here to help. Thanks to an on-page coupon, it's currently on sale at Amazon bundled with a handful of accessories — including a ramp, a fence, waste drawer liners, a LitterTrap Mat, and an OdorTrap Holder with OdorTrap Packs — for a cool $809 ($90 off), which is a new low price.
The self-cleaning litter box automatically tidies up after each use, preventing unwanted smells from lingering (it even alerts you when the waste drawer needs to be emptied). Operation is also relatively quiet, and it features a compact, space-saving design that won't dominate your living space. The best part? Your cat might love watching it cycle almost as much as they enjoy staring at the washing machine.
The Furbo 360° Dog or Cat Camera — which lets you check in on your pet no matter where you are — is on sale for $47 ($52 off) at Amazon, which is just $2 shy of its best price to date. The Furbo features a 1080p camera with full 360-degree rotation, allowing you to check in on your pets from every angle. You can talk to them, toss treats, and even get AI-powered alerts for barking, crying, or emergencies like intruders or smoke. It can also help you monitor your pet's well-being by warning you of potential health or behavioral issues.
Keep in mind that you'll need a Furbo Nanny subscription to use the camera, which starts at $5.38 a month when you sign up for a two-year subscription. The subscription lets you take advantage of all the aforementioned smart alerts for things like barking, crying, and intruders, along with cloud-based video history and daily event summaries. However, if you don't need some of those more advanced perks, Amazon is also currently selling a subscription-less model for cats and dogs for $135 ($75 off).
If you're looking for an easy-to-use automatic feeder, the 7-liter WOpet Automatic Dog Feeder is down to an all-time low of $59.99 ($20 off) at Amazon right now. Despite the name, it's designed for both cats and dogs and can dispense dry food up to five times a day in set portions, which is perfect for keeping your pets fed while away. And if your pet is a bit on the chonkier side, it's also great for managing portions. It's easy to use, too; this particular model doesn't have an app or Wi-Fi, so you just need to press a few buttons to schedule.

If you've got a furry friend who sheds everywhere, Amazon is selling the ChomChom roller for $19.99 when you apply the on-page coupon for 20 percent off. That's not the lowest price we've seen — the handy gadget dropped to around $12 or $13 during Black Friday — but it's still one the better prices we've seen in recent months. The reusable pet hair remover does an impressive job of picking up fur from couches, beds, carpets, and even clothes without needing sticky tape or refills. Needless to say, it's an easy-to-use tool for quick cleanups, which is why so many of us at The Verge love it.
Other great Pet Day deals
You can buy a bundle containing a Blink Video Doorbell, a Blink Outdoor 4 security camera, and a Sync Module 2 for $79.98 ($80 off) at Amazon, which is the best price we've seen on the bundle so far this year. Both the Blink Outdoor 4 and the 1080p Blink Video Doorbell deliver all the essentials, like motion detection, night vision, and two-way audio. The Outdoor 4 also introduces person detection and a wider field of view, which are two upgrades over its predecessor. The Sync Module 2, meanwhile, allows for free local storage and on-demand live views, though a subscription is still required for certain features.
Amazon's Smart Air Quality Monitor is on sale for $54.99 ($14 off) at Amazon, which is $10 shy of its all-time low. The compact gadget alerts you when air quality is poor via voice alerts or the mobile app. It can also automatically activate Alexa-enabled devices like smart thermostats and air purifiers via Alexa Hunches, and you can set up Routines to trigger them under specific conditions. Read our review.
The Ring Indoor Cam is on sale with a Ring Pet Tag for $54.99 ($15 off) at Amazon. The wired 1080p camera offers color night vision, motion-activated recording, and two-way audio, along with a physical privacy cover for disabling audio and video recording. Ring's Pet Tag, meanwhile, features a QR code linked to an app on your phone. If your pet gets lost, someone can scan the code from their collar, which will display a pet profile containing important details such as your contact information, your pet's medications, and more.

Snap Up This Samsung Galaxy S9 Tablet for a Massive $321 Off While You Still Can
Whether it's in addition to or in place of a laptop, today's tablets offer a lot more than a large screen to browse the internet. If you've been considering acquiring a new tablet before prices increase due to tariffs, you'd be smart to consider Amazon's discount of $321 on the Samsung Galaxy S9 Tab. This reduces it to $599. While this is not the lowest price we've seen, it's still a decent savings on a high-quality tablet. You'll need to opt for the graphite model to get the best price. The $599 price is for the 256GB Samsung Galaxy S9 Tab. It features an 11-inch AMOLED screen, so if you're watching movies or TV, you'll have excellent resolution. It also has a high-resolution front camera, perfect for video calls. The S Pen is even included for taking notes and precision pointing. Technical specs include Wi-Fi 7 for fast streaming and downloads, 256GB of storage and the superfast Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Other perks include a slim, lightweight design and an Armor Aluminum frame designed to take on whatever life throws at it -- making the tablet a great option for travel. It also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Prices like this on Amazon can be fleeting, so we don't recommend waiting too long to pick up the Galaxy S9 Tab at this low price. Why this deal matters If you're okay with the graphite model, you can pick up this top-tier tablet for $321 off, an excellent price, especially for 256GB of storage. But as with all things Amazon, there is no telling how long the savings will last.

Amazon delivery robots part of plan to automate $200B in logistics costs: analyst
Amazon's experiment with delivery robots might have a science-fiction feel, but the potential cost savings for the e-commerce giant would be anything but fantasy. Morgan Stanley estimated the e-commerce and cloud giant is now investing to automate roughly $200 billion in logistics costs — a sum equal to 35% of its online retail revenue — which includes using AI-powered humanoid robots to make deliveries. The new robots, according to a report in The Information , would go directly to customers' doors from Rivian electric vans, reducing delivery times and labor costs for the billions of packages Amazon ships annually. The company is reportedly testing these AI-powered humanoid robots at a San Francisco "humanoid park" obstacle course. Amazon's reported work on software to use human-like robots in package delivery represents the next chapter in the company's lucrative automation strategy, the analysts said in a note to clients late Thursday. The firm views humanoid delivery robots as a key driver of "more durable market share gains" in Amazon's logistics network, which already holds a 30% share of the U.S. parcel delivery market, surpassing UPS and FedEx . Morgan Stanley projects that 10% of U.S. units that go through robotics-enabled warehouses can lead to $2 billion to $3 billion in annual savings by 2030. While acknowledging the potential for the deployment of humanoids is further out, the analysts highlighted Amazon as "one of the companies best positioned to deliver material financial return from physical AI robots within the next 3-5 years." They also see Amazon's retail business as the "most underappreciated" beneficiary of generative AI in the tech industry, with the potential to deliver "more items to more people faster … and in a more cash flow generative manner" over the next five to 10 years. Shares of the e-commerce giant were up as much as 2% Friday at roughly $212 per share. The stock is down 3.7% year to date. AMZN 1Y mountain Amazon 1-year return Amazon's track record supports this optimism. In 2024, the company lowered its global "cost to serve" per unit for the second consecutive year, building on its success in 2023 when it cut costs by over 45 cents per unit. This continued efficiency drove a 61% year-over-year increase in worldwide operating income, reaching a record $21.2 billion last year. The company was able to achieve this by regionalizing its fulfillment network, which shortened delivery distances and enabled it to deliver over 9 billion items to Prime members globally in 2024 with same-day or next day delivery, a company record. Amazon has also been getting help from robots to stow items in warehouses, a task previously done by humans, and leverages machine learning to optimize inventory placement and demand forecasting. As Amazon continues to innovate, investors like us also see a clear path to enhanced profitability and market dominance in logistics given its unmatched scale and disciplined focus on reducing costs through automation. We currently have a buy-equivalent 1 rating on Amazon and a price target of $240 on the stock. (Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust is long AMZN. See here for a full list of the stocks.)
