EFG Hermes Concludes Advisory on EFG Corp-Solutions' EGP 2.65 Billion Issuance، Egypt's Largest-Ever Corporate Bond Issuance
EFG Hermes، an EFG Holding company and the leading investment bank in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)، announced today the successful conclusion of Egypt's largest corporate bond issuance to date، a bond issuance valued at EGP 2.65 billion for EFG Corp-Solutions، a subsidiary of EFG Finance and one of Egypt's leading leasing and factoring companies. This transaction marks as the fourth bond issuance for EFG Corp-Solutions.
The bond was issued with a credit rating of A- by Middle East Ratings and Investor Services (MERIS)، with a 13-month tenor.

This transaction comes as the latest in a series of debt issuances advised by EFG Hermes in the region. Most recently، EFG Hermes advised on Bedaya's sixth securitization issuance worth EGP 1.64 billion. It also advised Valu on its 14th securitized bond issuance، worth EGP 463.3 million، as well as the fifth securitization for Bedaya، valued at EGP 1.78 billion. The firm also concluded advisory on Sylndr's EGP 300 million working capital facility، in addition to a short-term note valued at EGP 433 million for EFG Corp-Solutions.
EFG Hermes acted as the sole financial advisor، transaction manager، book-runner، underwriter، and arranger for the issuance. Commercial International Bank (CIB) acted as the placement and subscription bank. Legal advisory services were provided by Dreny & Partners، while KPMG was appointed as the auditor for the issuance.

Luxor Governor Receives US Senator Tim Sheehy to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation
Taarek Refaat Abdel Motaleb Amara, Governor of Luxor received Senator Tim Sheehy, a member of the US Congress, as part of his visit to Egypt and the accompanying high-level delegation. The meeting witnessed an open dialogue between the two sides, addressing ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The Senator began his speech by expressing his happiness at being in Luxor for the second time after 22 years. He expressed his admiration for the positive changes taking place in the city and his amazement at ancient Egyptian civilization, emphasizing that Egypt is a country with a rich civilization dating back thousands of years. Sheehy added that Egypt is an important and ally in the Middle East region, and that it has a promising economic future over the next five years. He expressed his hope for strengthening American partnerships in Egypt and praised the country's ongoing comprehensive development efforts, particularly in infrastructure modernization and the renewable energy sector. On his part, the Governor of Luxor welcomed the US Senator and explained the governorate's economy, which is based on the cultural tourism sector, followed by agriculture and industry. He emphasized that tourist bookings have increased this year compared to last year, and that the booking rate for the upcoming tourist season is very promising and exceeds previous years, despite global events. The governor added that despite the hot June weather approaching, the continued growth of tourism in Luxor has not been affected. He attributed this to the stability and security Egypt enjoys thanks to the wisdom of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who assumed the presidency 10 years ago. He also praised US support for the country. The US Ambassador to Cairo attended the inauguration of the new drinking water station in the village of El-Hanady, east of Esna, south of Luxor. This station will serve approximately 10 villages by 2024. The station was funded by the US Agency for International Development. Hurghada Int'l Airport Celebrates First Flight from Tashkent
Taarek Refaat Hurghada International Airport today received the first flight of Uzbekistan's Centrum Air airline from Tashkent International Airport, carrying 175 tourists. Ayman Salah, Deputy Director of Hurghada International Airport welcomed the passengers with flowers and souvenirs, along with the participation of the public relations and media team, and the traditional water salute. This flight is the first in a series of scheduled flights during the summer season between Uzbekistan and Hurghada, in light of the growing international interest in Egyptian tourist destinations. Uzbek Gov't Delegation Tours Agricultural Projects, Research Centers in Egypt
Taarek Refaat An Uzbek government delegation headed by the Director of the Cabinet Secretariat for Investment, Export, Trade, Agriculture and Water Resources visited several agricultural projects and research centers during a four-day visit to Egypt. The Uzbek delegation began its field trip with a visit to the Agricultural Research Center, where they were briefed on the center's research activities and its efforts to achieve food security and improve crop productivity. They also visited the Excellence and Innovation Exhibition. The Uzbek delegation also visited the Desert Research Center, where they learned about the center's efforts to address the challenges of desertification and climate change. The Uzbek group expressed their great admiration for Egypt's experience in establishing integrated agricultural communities aimed at achieving social stability and sustainable development, commending the role of the Desert Research Center in providing pioneering models and practical solutions to environmental and agricultural challenges in desert regions. They also inspected the "Future of Egypt" sustainable agriculture project, the first project aimed at achieving self-sufficiency and exporting surpluses. The targeted area for reclamation is 1.5 million feddans, out of the total area of the New Delta project, which amounts to 2.2 million feddans.
