Binged Wednesday Already? Here's When Part 2 Is Out (And What To Watch While You Wait)
Wednesday fans' patience was finally rewarded this week when, almost three years on since the first season began streaming, new episodes finally debuted on Netflix. Unfortunately, the wait isn't quite over, though. You see, as Netflix tends to do with its biggest releases, the second season of Wednesday was split into two, so while the first four are available to stream now, there's still a four-week wait until the second half of the series arrives on the platform. How you fill in that time is up to you, but we do have some suggestions for things to stream just for Wednesday devotees… What to stream on Netflix while you wait for the latest episodes of Wednesday season 2? Of course, Wednesday Addams has existed long before Tim Burton and Netflix put their unique spin on the character. While Jenna Ortega has become synonymous with the role since Wednesday's premiere in 2022, many would argue that the definitive version of the character was Christina Ricci's, in 1991's The Addams Family and the far superior, laugh-out-loud hilarious follow-up, 1993's Addams Family Values. As luck would have it, both of those films are currently streaming on Netflix, starring an incredible cast that includes Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Carol Kane and Joan Cusack in the oh-so-meme-able role of Debbie Jellinsky. Meanwhile if you're looking for something creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky and all-together-ooky, but still family friendly, the 2019 animated film The Addams Family is currently on Prime Video, as is its 2021 sequel. These animated movies feature Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron as the voices of Gomez and Morticia Addams, while the family is completed by the likes of Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and, curiously, Snoop Dogg as Cousin Itt. Alternatively, if Wednesday has got you curious to dive into more of Tim Burton's catalogue, Beetlejuice and Corpse Bride are both streaming on Netflix, while the more recent sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is on Now. Many of Tim Burton's other notable projects, including Edward Scissorhands, Alice In Wonderland and The Nightmare Before Christmas (which, notably, he produced but did not direct) are also on Disney+. When is the second half of Wednesday season 2 coming out? The final four episodes in the series will arrive on Netflix on Wednesday 3 September. Excitingly, one of these episodes will feature Lady Gaga's much-hyped cameo, with the Grammy winner having also apparently recorded a new song to coincide with her appearance. A third season of Wednesday is also confirmed to be in the works, with showrunner Alfred Gough teasing: 'Our goal for season three is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can. 'We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday. We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in season three!' It's not yet known when production on the third season will begin, though, or when we can expect to see it on Netflix. Liam Neeson Sells New York Apartment for $10.3 Million
As buzz builds around his new film and possible new romance with Pamela Anderson, award-winning actor Liam Neeson has offloaded his longtime Manhattan apartment for $10.3 million. The Irish-born actor is currently starring alongside Anderson in The Naked Gun, and the two are generating round-the-clock headlines about their rumored relationship while promoting the hit comedy, a reboot of the 1980s franchise. Located on the 28th floor of a Lincoln Square skyscraper, Neeson's now-former condo was created by combining three units to form one 4,500-square-foot residence containing five bedrooms. Perks include a chef's kitchen, primary suite with two baths, and sweeping views of Central Park. Neeson first bought the apartment in 1999, when married to actress Natasha Richardson, who died tragically in 2009. The couple shared two sons and raised them in the West 67th Street tower. (One son, Daniel, recently gave his dad's potential coupling a stamp of approval, per the New York Post.) The Taken star, who also owns a compound in Upstate New York and several properties in Ireland, listed the Manhattan apartment last summer for $12.75 million before taking it off the market and re-listing it with agent Matthew Coleman of Coleman Real Estate Group, who handled the current sale. Besides the unit's spacious interiors and panoramic vistas, the building's location and in-house amenities were surely a draw to the new buyers. Among them are a 24-hour doorman, storage units, and a concierge, while a 140,000-square-foot Equinox Sports Club packed with perks is located on the ground floor. Its convenient Upper West Side location also provides easy access to shopping, transportation, and cultural amenities such as Lincoln Center and the American Museum of Natural History.
