Al Hamriyah is seeing an influx of visitors and residents and a set of operational plans reflects its commitment to completing all decoration and cleaning work, as well as monitoring and inspecting all aspects of workflow, with the goal of creating a sense of satisfaction and happiness among residents, visitors, and tourists.
Al Hamriyah Municipality has exerted efforts over the past few days to complete various arrangements and preparations for Eid. Municipal teams from various departments and divisions continue to implement their operational plans for the Eid period to ensure the comfort of residents and welcome visitors and tourists around the clock.
Roads preparartions
His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, revealed that the municipality has completed decorations of public squares, bridges, and roads over the past few days. This is part of its commitment to nurturing the artistic taste of road users and passersby, reflecting the festive, carnival-like atmosphere and joy of Eid. The decorations feature special designs inspired by the spirituality of Eid al-Adha.
Al Shamsi emphasised that Al Hamriyah Municipality is working in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide the highest quality services across all municipal operations.
Enhancing public safety and security in beaches
Al Hamriyah Municipality has intensified its efforts in beach services in Al Hamriyah to welcome Eid al-Adha, in addition to enhancing public safety and security measures on Al Hamriyah Beach. These include providing specialised lifeguards along the entire beachfront, providing marine rescue platforms, identifying designated swimming areas, and providing jet skis for rapid intervention to prevent drowning.
Inspection visits to markets
Al Shamsi noted that Al Hamriyah Municipality's municipal inspection and public health teams have intensified their efforts and procedures for field monitoring and inspection visits to various markets, points of sale, restaurants, cafeterias, grocery stores, beauty salons, fruit and vegetable shops, and sweets and nuts shops. This is to ensure that health standards and requirements for establishments are implemented and met for public health and safety purposes. This is part of Al Hamriyah Municipality's efforts to ensure the safety of food and various goods during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Protecting consumers
Al Shamsi explained that Al Hamriyah Municipality is implementing several operational plans to serve and protect consumers during the Eid al-Adha holiday. He indicated that the municipality will intensify inspection visits to the area's markets and restaurants during this period, and will monitor points of sale to ensure the implementation of various health measures on various food products in the area. This is part of the ongoing periodic monitoring of food outlets to protect consumer health.
Al Shamsi concluded with several tips and guidelines for beach visitors, including the importance of adhering to the widespread beach instructions and signs available to everyone in several languages. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to the advisory flag that indicates beach going conditions, swimming within safe swimming areas, staying away from areas with strong sea currents, not going to the beach if the red flag is raised and the waves are high, and ensuring that children are supervised during their beach visit.

Sharjah and Fujairah Rulers pardon 551 inmates ahead of Eid al-Adha
The Rulers of Sharjah and Fujairah on Tuesday ordered the release of a combined number of 551 inmates ahead of Eid al-Adha. H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, ordered the release of 112 prisoners, while H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, pardoned 439 inmates. Those selected reportedly displayed good conduct and behaviour. The pardons announcements came shortly after President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the release of 963 prisoners across the country. The release of prisoners are reportedly intended to be goodwill gestures by the Rulers of the UAE, often conducted during religious holidays.
