Atalanta have picked up teenage Croatian talent Sergej Levak as a free agent after his contract with Roma was allowed to run down.
The creative midfielder only celebrated his 19th birthday in May and is said to be one of the brightest talents on the Croatian football scene.
Originally part of the NK Osijek youth academy, he moved to Roma in 2023 at a cost of €500,000.

Last season Levak scored seven goals and provided four assists in 35 games for Roma at the Primavera youth team level.
His contract ran down and there were numerous clubs interested, including Bayern Munich, but he decided to continue his career with Atalanta.
Initially, he will play in the Atalanta Under-23 side, which participates in Serie C, but is expected to step up rapidly to the senior squad under new coach Ivan Juric.
His contract with La Dea runs to June 2030.
The player has two goals in two caps for Croatia at Under-19 level.

Inter Milan Waiting For The Signal From Atalanta In Cagey & Tense Lookman Transfer Saga

Inter Milan are waiting for the go-ahead from Atalanta to make another bid for forward Ademola Lookman. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the transfer soap opera of the summer has entered a dormant phase. The explosive transfer saga with Atalanta and Ademola Lookman has come to define Inter's summer. Inter have made two offers for Lookman. And Atalanta have flatly rejected both of them. Lookman himself reacted furiously to his club's refusal to sell him to Inter. The Nigerian international very publicly demanded a transfer to Atalanta last weekend. This after Atalanta had rejected a second offer from the Nerazzurri. Then, Lookman took things a step further. The 27-year-old – who had already scrubbed all traces of Atalanta from his social media accounts – began no-showing training. (Photo by Pier) So far, Inter's offer for Lookman has reached as high as around €45 million with add-ons. And the Nerazzurri are ready to further improve their bid. The Corriere dello Sport report that Inter could put an offer worth €45 million plus a few milliion euros in add-ons. This would get Inter close to a €50 million total valuation. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri could also sweeten the deal by sending a young player to Bergamo as a makeweight. Inter are fairly confident that an offer along these lines would be enough to break Atalanta's resolve. But for now, La Dea are playing it close to the chest. They still haven't told Inter what their demands are for Lookman. Therefore, Inter are awaiting some signal from Atalanta so they can lodge a new bid.

Hojlund wants Serie A return as Milan make positive contact

Thursday's reports claim that Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is sold on the idea of returning to Serie A this summer, and that Milan have recently opened talks with the former Atalanta forward. Hojlund, who left Atalanta in a deal worth €75m plus up to €10m in bonuses while Erik Ten Hag was still in charge of Manchester United, is no longer a guaranteed part of the club's plans after an underwhelming first two years, a change in head coach and a transfer window that has brought two, possibly three new attackers to Old Trafford. Milan, meanwhile, are prepared to pounce on the Denmark international, as the Rossoneri are in need of a new striker to compete and rotate with Santiago Gimenez, who is currently the only senior striker on the club's books. While recent reports have indicated that Juventus's Dusan Vlahovic is a strong option for the Rossoneri, there is an increasing possibility that Hojlund becomes available for a cut-price fee towards the end of the transfer window. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Milan might be even more keen on Hojlund than they are on Vlahovic, due to a significant difference in the players' wage packets. Thursday's report claims that Manchester United will be prepared to listen to offers in the region of €34.3m (£30m )to €38.9m (£34m) this window.

Inter Milan & Atalanta Still At Stalemate In Lookman Transfer Saga After Firestorm

Inter Milan and Atalanta have reached another stalemate in their tumultuous talks for Ademola Lookman after a bombshell week. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that things have quieted down as Inter wait to launch another bid. The transfer soap opera between Inter, Atalanta, and Ademola Lookman has dominated the headlines over the last week. There's no indication that Lookman plans to return to training for Atalanta. The player is determined to force through the move to Inter, as he believes that La Dea had promised as much last summer. (Photo by) After the fiery developments of the last week, however, the situation has cooled down. The Gazzetta dello Sport report that right now, there are no big changes to the Lookman saga. The newspaper do anticipate that Inter plan to make another offer for the Nigerian. The Gazzetta expect that Inter could offer €45 million as a fixed amount, plus €5 million in relatively easily-achievable add-ons. However, the Nerazzurri are waiting for the signal from Atalanta. So far, La Dea have yet to give a price tag or counteroffer to their Lombard rivals. They appear to be waiting patiently for tempers to cool down. Therefore, it could be a few days before Inter and Atalanta return to the negotiating table.
