The footage has sparked outrage among locals and netizens, who criticise the act as polluting and disrespectful. Many users demanded police action, with some expressing frustration over the perceived disregard for environmental responsibility.
One user wrote, "I thought it was forbidden to do that. Soap is polluting the water."
Another commented, "Soap and shampoo. That can't be good for the fish and other water creatures."
A third said, "Bathing with soap and shampoo at the beach is harmful to the environment and can negatively impact the delicate ecosystem of the water body. While it might seem convenient, using soap in natural water sources like oceans, lakes, or rivers can disrupt the water's chemistry, harming aquatic life and potentially affecting the health of other beachgoers."
A fourth added, "Brampton!!! I am sick of this shit happening in our country. Our waters are not your bathtub; we swim in these waters. @CityBrampton this needs full attention, this is our clean swimming beaches, and they are destroying it, charges need to be laid."
However, some users accused the original poster of racism, arguing that assuming the individuals were Indian based on their brown skin tone was unfair and stereotypical.
A fifth user stated, "You want to hate on them because you're a racist? Fine, own that. But don't dress it up with some fake 'conscious eco-climate warrior' spin. Lol. The West cares about climate. Nature & environment."

The clip, reportedly filmed at Bajpai Dhaba on the Kanpur GT Road Highway, shows two customers confronting staff after discovering an entire baby lizard baked inside a tandoori roti. In the footage, a customer unwraps a foil-covered stack of rotis and reveals one with an entire lizard lodged between its layers. Holding it up to the camera, he points to the dead lizard's head protruding from the roti. In the video, the customer says, " Chhipkali ka poora bacha hai. Choti-moti cheez nahi hai jo dikhai na padi ho, bahot badi cheez hai ye (There is a whole baby lizard here. It is not a small thing that could have been missed, it's a very big thing)." The customers added that they vomited after consuming this contaminated roti. The incident prompted Kanpur's food safety department to inspect the dhaba. Food safety inspector Sanjay Kumar Singh shared that their two-member team found "a lot of dirt" on the premises, reported India Today. "Samples of tandoori paneer and vegetables were collected for testing. The dhaba was subsequently sealed," he said. As per reports, local police authorities stated they had not received a formal complaint and can act only once it is filed. While they have seen the video, no FIR has been registered so far. The dhaba, reportedly run by Sonu Bajpai, has not issued a statement on the matter. The identity of the customers and the exact date of the incident remain unknown.

Last Updated: India Day celebrations in Ireland are postponed due to increased racist attacks on the Indian community, the Ireland India Council announced after meeting Deputy PM Simon Harris. The India Day celebrations in Ireland have been postponed following an increase in 'racist attacks' targeting the Indian community in recent months, the Ireland India Council has said. 'We feel that the situation at the moment for holding India Day is not conducive," the cultural and trade association's co-chairman, Prashant Shukla, said after a meeting with Ireland's Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris. The celebrations, scheduled for Sunday, have been organised by the council in collaboration with the Irish government since 2015 and feature various cultural performances, news agency AFP reported. Shukla said the decision to postpone the event was 'very difficult" but was taken for the 'safety" of the community. 'I completely condemn the despicable acts of violence and racism that we have seen against some members of the community in recent weeks," Harris said in a post on X after the meeting with Indian community leaders. Earlier this month, the Indian Embassy in Dublin issued a safety warning after 'an increase in instances of physical attacks reported against Indian citizens in Ireland recently". The Irish Embassy in New Delhi also condemned the attacks and confirmed ongoing police investigations. Attacks On Indians In Ireland Local media have reported several incidents of racist attacks on Indians. A six-year-old girl of Indian origin was assaulted and called racial slurs last week in southeast Ireland. The Irish Times also reported that an Indian taxi driver was attacked with a broken bottle by two passengers in Dublin and told to 'go back to your country". Shukla expressed worry over the rapid spread of hate on social media platforms. In an interview with Irish broadcaster RTE, he pointed to growing 'extreme right propaganda and some false perception", blaming Indian immigrants for Ireland's housing crisis. New Date To Be Announced Later The council said the new date for India Day, described by an Irish government website as 'one of the largest India-related events in Ireland," will be announced later. India Day events mark India's independence from British rule on August 15 and are celebrated worldwide by the Indian diaspora.
