Now, his estranged wife Julia Carwyle has told of how the Mississippi man is obsessed with the Hollywood A-lister and set out on a cross-country mission to meet her.
Julia, also 48, told
"He actually thought he was going to meet Jennifer.
"I guess he was speaking with her. He had the impression that Jennifer Aniston and he were going to talk and meet."

The wife added: "He thought 'Maybe she's just going to meet a guy… to take a chance.' That's the way he was thinking."
Prosecutors allege Carwyle repeatedly harassed the Morning Show star from March 1, 2023 to the day of the crash, bombarding her with "unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages".
His wife said the man pictured "isn't him", adding: "It doesn't even look like him. He's not there."

Julia - who has been separated from Carwyle for "a few years" since they married in 2019 - described him as a "great guy" battling mental health issues.

She said he believes he's Jesus and Aniston is supposed to be his "queen".
The estranged partner added Carwyle's mentality is "nothing like it used to be", saying he is "going through a lot right now.'
She believes that there probably was a trigger to what happened, such as a midlife crisis.
Julia revealed it was not her husband's first attempt to reach the sitcom star, but his third trip out to LA to try and meet her.
'I think he probably got a little aggravated because he could not (meet her),' she said.

But he still granted a restraining order keeping him at least 100 yards away from Aniston and banning any contact.
'You are not to have any contact with Jennifer Aniston under any conditions,' the judge stated.
Carwyle is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Sam Hulefeld of LADA's Stalking and Threat Assessment Team.
He's facing charges of stalking, vandalism, and the aggravating circumstance of threatening great bodily harm.
He could be jailed for up to three years if convicted.
District Attorney Nathan Hochman said: "Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities.
"My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others, ensuring they are held accountable."
Carwyle remains in jail on $150,000 bail.
His next court appearance is set for May 22 at the Mental Health Court in Hollywood, where it will be determined if he is fit to stand trial.

Bombshell report reveals Pentagon fueled UFO myths around Area 51 to hide classified weapons program
SOME wild UFO conspiracy theories were deliberately cooked up and stoked the Pentagon itself, a bombshell report has revealed. The photos were pinned to the walls - and before long, local legend, followed by the rest of the world, had it the U.S. military was secretly testing recovered alien tech. This came to light in a shocking review of the 2024 Defense Department report published by The now-retired officer admitted to Pentagon investigators in 2023 that he was on an official mission to hide the site's real purpose. But the Pentagon dismissed claims of a government UFO cover-up in their report last year. The WSJ argues that not only did the government mislead the public but it actively fuelled UFO myths. The report writes: "The Pentagon itself sometimes deliberately fanned the flames, in what amounted to the U.S. government targeting its own citizens with disinformation." Most read in The US Sun It includes findings made by Sean Kirkpatrick, the first director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), who in 2022 was tasked with investigating countless UFO theories. Kirkpatrick discovered several conspiracies that traced back to the Pentagon itself. The strange practice continued until 2023 when the Pentagon finally issued an order across the DoD to put an end to it. Another finding by Kirkpatrick, reported by the WSJ, was that the government deliberately misled the public about secret military projects. For instance, Robert Salas, a former Air Force captain, claims he saw a UFO hover over a nuclear missile site in Montana in 1967. In reality, what he saw was a test of an early electromagnetic pulse (EMP) designed to see if American silos could survive atomic radiation and retaliate if the Soviet Union struck first. The test failed and Salas was told to never discuss what he saw, the report tells. A DoD spokesperson admitted to the WSJ that the government has not shared all of AARO's findings, saying a new report due later this year will be clearer. Sue Gough said: 'The department is committed to releasing a second volume of its Historical Record Report, to include AARO's findings on reports of potential pranks and inauthentic materials.' It comes as a photo claiming to show a 1,000ft-wide silver The picture was allegedly snapped by an airline pilot in 2021 while flying 21,000ft above the Four Corners Monument - spanning New Luis Elizondo revealed the photo during a UAP Disclosure Fund event.
