Foreigner arrested for alleged molestation of teen in Rawang
Hulu Selangor district police chief Supt Ibrahim Husin said the man was arrested after the police received a report from the victim around 3 pm Sunday.
'The suspect, 21, was arrested by the Hulu Selangor district police headquarters criminal investigation division thanks to a public tipoff,' he said in a statement, adding that the suspect did not have any prior records and tested negative for drugs.
The suspect has been remanded for three days from today till Aug 7 for further investigation under Section 15(a)(1) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, he added. - Bernama

He added that the embassy has contacted the families of Ong and Gan to inform about the incident. Meanwhile, Superintendent of Lumpini Police Station Pol Col Yingyos Suwanno said the suspect is a 30-year-old man from Sa Kaeo province, who allegedly attacked the victims out of frustration over being unemployed. He attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by members of the public nearby. Four Individuals Arrested In Thailand Returned To Malaysia
KOTA BHARU, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have confirmed that four of six individuals held by the Thai authorities over drug related offences have been returned to Malaysia today. Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed when contacted by Bernama today that Mohd Affendi Ahmad, 35, Eridieka Mohd Noor, 33, Mohamad Alif Deraman, 33, and Zuhaira Nasrin, 26, returned to Malaysia this afternoon. Meanwhile, Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said that the four were allowed to rejoin their families at 6.30 pm after spending about six hours giving their statements at the Kelantan contingent police headquarters today, adding that they tested negative for drugs.
