Government releases e-book on completion of 11 years, highlights its achievements in progressive development
New Delhi [India], June 6 (ANI): The Union government released an e-book highlighting its achievements across various sectors over the last 11 years. The year 2025 marks 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
The book said that these 11 years have been dedicated to bringing about development that is inclusive, progressive, and sustainable. 'The government under Prime Minister Modi has been steadfast in its commitment to creating equity and opportunity for all citizens,' it added.
'PM Modi has brought the politics of development - Vikasvaad - into the mainstream, making it the focal point around which political discourse and policy action now revolve,' it reads.
The book said that since assuming office in 2014, PM Modi has remained firm in his resolve of keeping 'India First' in every policy formulation and action. It added that the resolve is evident in the government's handling of both external and internal security, economic management, empowerment schemes for marginalised groups, efforts at cultural conservation and so on.
Highlighting the government's steps in handling COVID-19, the book said, 'Prime Minister Modi's government has always believed in setting challenging targets and achieving them before the set deadline. This can be seen across sectors, whether it is in vaccinating the entire eligible population in record time against Covid-19, recording the nation's highest ever exports in history, in the digital revolution which is taking place across India, in achieving monumental targets for rural electrification, in building world-class infrastructure or in providing drinking water facilities across households.'
It emphasised that there has been a paradigm shift in public service delivery and the implementation of government schemes using the JAM Trinity - Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and Mobile - in the last 11 years.

Emphasising the government's action for conservation of the environment, it said, 'Under Prime Minister Modi, India has championed environmental protection globally, emerging as a leader of the movement. The United Nations declared June 21st as International Yoga Day, an acknowledgement of the global recognition of heritage.
It also mentioned Operation Sindoor, terming it a demonstration of new India--resolute, swift, and sovereign in action. 'India's assertion on the global stage has also undergone a remarkable evolution. The success of Operation SINDOOR demonstrated a new India--resolute, swift, and sovereign in action.'
The book is a comprehensive compendium about India's transformation under PM Modi's 'visionary leadership across fourteen facets of policymaking, ranging from infrastructure to foreign policy to social justice'.
The book has 14 chapters, highlighting developmental aspects in different social, technological and educational sectors. It also noted the government's efforts in lifting the marginalised class and different sections of the society.
Prime Minister Narendra on May 26, 2014, took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the first time and is currently serving in the post in its consecutive third term. (ANI)

Households feel inflation is easing in short and medium term: RBI Survey
ANI Representational image Indian households' perception of current inflation in the country fell slightly, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). As per the RBI's Households' Inflation Expectations Survey, the median inflation perception declined by 10 basis points to 7.7 per cent in May, down from 7.8 per cent recorded in March 2025. The survey also highlighted that expectations for inflation over the next three months remained unchanged at 8.9 per cent, while the one-year-ahead expectation declined by 20 basis points to 9.5 per cent. This indicates that households feel price pressures are easing, both in the short and medium term. Notably, fewer people now expect prices and inflation to rise compared to the last survey Reserve Bank of India released the findings of its bi-monthly "Inflation Expectations Survey of Households" for May 2025, which reflects a softening in the public's view on inflation. The survey was conducted between May 2 and May 11 across 19 major cities and received 6,079 valid survey data showed that the easing of inflationary expectations was visible across key product groups such as food, non-food items, household durables, housing, and services. In particular, around 55 per cent of households now believe food prices will increase more than the current rate. Among product categories, the expectation of a price rise in the next three months was highest for food products (82.8 per cent), followed by housing (78.3 per cent) and non-food items (75.3 per cent).Looking one year ahead, 89.2 per cent of respondents expect a general rise in prices, although this number has moderated from previous survey also pointed out demographic and regional differences. Retired persons and people above 60 years continued to perceive higher inflation compared to younger age groups. City-wise, people in Jammu, Kolkata, and Mumbai reported the highest inflation perception, while respondents from Bengaluru and Ahmedabad perceived inflation to be the results suggested a marginal improvement in inflation sentiment among households, indicating greater confidence in the price Reserve Bank clarified that this survey reflects individual expectations and consumption patterns and may not necessarily align with official inflation data or the RBI's views.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said Saturday that his party is focused on building the future, not dwelling on past differences, amid growing speculation of a possible alliance with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). 'Those who wish to take positive steps do not look back. We look to the future. How long are you going to dwell on the past?' Raut told reporters in Mumbai, urging MNS leaders to forget rifts in the past and look at the future of the two parties. The MP's comments come on the heels of Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray's recent admission that informal talks are underway with the Raj Thackeray-led MNS, a statement that has revived hopes of a political rapprochement nearly two decades after they split. Meanwhile, the Sena (UBT)'s mouthpiece Saamana on Saturday carried photographs of Uddhav and Raj Thackeray together on its front page—an image not seen in party media for years. This came even as posters featuring the two leaders together, calling for unity, were spotted in parts of Mumbai and Thane. Party workers from both sides are reportedly behind the campaign, urging the cousins to 'unite for the Marathi cause.' One of the posters put up at Girgaon has a message, in Marathi, stating that the two brothers must come together for the cause of eight crore Marathi people, and the people of Girgaon are eagerly waiting for their reconciliation. 'Please come together and save Marathi manoos before the outsiders' plan to capture Maharashtra succeeds,' it reads. Raut's statement came after MNS leaders said on Friday that the Sena (UBT) should send a proposal to their party president and pointed out that they were met with a cold response when they attempted to form an alliance with the undivided Shiv Sena in 2014 and 2017 and during the Covid period.
