Ohio ranks No. 2 for most ‘problem puppy mills,' ‘puppy sellers' in the country
The state of Ohio has ranked No. 2 for the most 'problem puppy mills' and 'puppy sellers' in the United States, according to a report by the Humane World for Animals.

The nonprofit organization released its annual 'The Horrible Hundred Report' in April.

The report aims to warn customers about problems at puppy mills and encourage stronger humane laws and law enforcement efforts.
The nonprofit organization defines a puppy mill as 'an inhumane breeding facility where puppies are churned out for the pet trade,' according to the report.
Ohio ranked No. 2 in the report with 16 problem puppy mills and puppy breeders.
The 16 puppy mills listed in the report are in eastern Ohio, including Coshocton, Holmes, Muskingum, Richland, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties.
These puppy mills received several violations for things like inadequate housing and care, incomplete health records, injuries and more.
The report indicates that several of the Ohio puppy mills listed in this year's report have been included in previous reports.

Missouri ranks No. 1 in the report with 26 problem puppy mills.

Illinois and Oklahoma tie for No. 9 & 10
Nebraska at No. 11
Minnesota at No. 12
'Since we published our first Horrible Hundred report in 2013, at least 2,400 animals have been rescued from Horrible Hundred dealers who vastly downsized or shut down, and more than 250 puppy mills listed in the reports have closed,' the report said.

Men told woman her PayPal account was hacked, needed $55K for ‘secured account'
Two men were arrested after trying to swindle a Newnan woman out of thousands of dollars. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] In April, a woman came to the Newnan Police Department to report a possible fraud incident. The woman told officers she received a text message from someone she believed to be PayPal. The message stated that someone hacked into her account and tried to transfer $49,500 from her account. The victim said she called the number that texted her, and 'PayPal' transferred her to their fraud department. The woman then made contact with a man named 'John.' John told her she needed to create a secure account that was 'essentially unhackable.' John then told her to go to the bank and withdraw $25,000. According to officials, the bank did put a hold on her money but released it after three days. The victim then met with the person she believed to be John and gave him the cash. She told police she was able to see what vehicle the man got into and said John tried to contact her again the following day to give him another $30,000. Newnan investigators told the woman not to withdraw any more money from her bank account and to stop communicating with John. Yu was charged with purchase/possession and criminal attempt to commit a felony. Channel 2 Action News is working to learn Bandari's list of charges.

Police search for shooter who injured 2 at crowded park during graduation
Police say surveillance cameras captured an incident where two people were shot near a Forest Park soccer field where kids were about to practice. Investigators hope those at Kiwanis Park cameras will lead them to the gunmen. It's amazing more people didn't get hurt, with a soccer practice and a Tee-ball game going on nearby, as well as a graduation at Kiwanis Stadium. Channel 2's Tom Jones was at the park Wednesday as officers came back out to the scene where two people were shot near this soccer field. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] They brought out K-9s to sniff for evidence. Parent Juan Pargo told Channel 2 a day earlier he had just dropped his kids off at soccer practice. 'I hear about six or seven shots going,' he said. The gunfire sent everyone scrambling for cover, including Pargo. 'Of course I ducked down inside my truck,' he said. Police say a 40-year-old man and a victim 18 years old were hit but survived. The 2 shooters got away. Councilwoman Latresa Akins-Wells came right after the shooting. 'For this to happen in our community is very unfortunate,' she said. Police say they don't know what sparked the shooting. But officers say this city surveillance camera captured what happened. 'So if you got away last night, you won't get away for long,' Akins-Wells said. One of the victims was grazed by a bullet, the other shot in the arm. Police are asking anyone with information about this shooting to contact them. Wells also wants those bent on causing mayhem in Forest Park to know police will hunt you down. 'If you want to commit a crime, go elsewhere,' she said. ‘Awesome' father of 3 died while trying to stop truck break-in; police searching for suspects
Atlanta police are asking for the public's help in finding the people who shot at a man trying to stop them from breaking into his truck. Javon Brown died in January after spotting a group of men trying to break into his brand-new truck early one morning. After he told them to leave, police say the men started firing at him. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Brown wasn't shot, but police say he walked back into the house, said 'I'm sorry' to his wife, and collapsed. He later died from a medical emergency. Channel 2's Cory James was there as his wife, Tasha Brown, and daughter spoke at a news conference on Wednesday afternoon. 'My husband worked seven days a week. He was a pipe fitter,' Tasha Brown said. 'He was a provider, he was an awesome husband, an awesome father, and that's how I want him to be remembered. He was just a good, upstanding member of our community.'
