, issues a personal apology to the public regarding her and the group's actions. Afterwards, on June 5, the company issued a 'controversial' statement. Netizens since then have reacted strongly to it and have started debates as to why the statement is being issued now.

The idol shared how she was regretful of the group's actions and that the members were working towards 'being better.' The idol also shared a personal apology to the Black and Latino community for using stereotypical gestures and clothes.
The group's management agency's recent statement sparks debate online
After Julie's apology, KISS OF LIFE's management company took to their social media account to issue a statement to address the malicious comments that were being posted online against the K-pop group and its members.
In the statement, it read that 'We would like to extend our deepest apologies to everyone who was hurt and offended by the inappropriate content uploaded to KISS OF LIFE's official YouTube channel on April 2.'
The statement started off with an apology as well as a line about how the company and members of the group are both acknowledging and learning from their actions. It read, 'Both the company and the artists are deeply reflecting on this matter and will strive to ensure such an incident does not happen again.'
What caused netizens to react strongly to the post is the following statement about how the company plans to take legal action against malicious posts and death threats being issued against the members of KISS OF LIFE.
The statement shared, 'However, we have identified numerous posts on social media containing excessive death threats toward our artists, as well as the indiscriminate spread of malicious false information, deepfakes, and sexual harassment.
To protect our artists, we are continuously monitoring and documenting all evidence of such malicious activities and will take all necessary legal actions.'
Netizens' reaction online after the company issued a statement
A lot of netizens went online to criticize the company's actions for taking legal action against online posts. One even commented on how 'the audacity of this group to throw a n**** party and sue anyone who hates them—like, be serious.'
Fans come to the group's defense
Many shared their disdain in the matter online; however, they were quickly called out by fans of the group for not reading the posts properly. One commented that 'Calling the girls and the company shameless for taking action against people literally threatening their lives is so inhumane of you all.
