Fleck taken to hospital before Chesterfield game
Former Scotland midfielder John Fleck was taken to hospital shortly before he was due to take his place on the substitutes' bench for Chesterfield's League Two game against Doncaster Rovers.
The treatment given to the 33-year-old at SMH Stadium meant the game's kick-off was delayed by 10 minutes.
"We can confirm that John Fleck has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure after being taken ill during the pre-match warm-up," Chesterfield wrote on X.
Michael Jacobs replaced Fleck among the substitutes for the game against second-placed Doncaster.
The former Rangers and Sheffield United player joined the Spireites as a free agent in September after leaving Blackburn Rovers at the end of last season.
He joined Rovers from the Blades but sustained a shin injury 17 minutes into the derby against Preston on his debut in February that required surgery.

FORMER U'S: Striker signs two-year deal with League One newcomers
FORMER Colchester United striker Brandon Hanlan has joined League One newcomers Doncaster Rovers. The 28-year-old has signed for the reigning League Two champions on a two-year deal, following his exit from Wycombe Wanderers after four years at Adams Park. Advertisement Hanlan told the Doncaster website: "For me it is about being somewhere that you're wanted. 'Speaking to the manager about the way he plays and wants to play and for myself it's about being in a team that creates chances and do well. 'The gaffer has had nothing but good things to say about myself but also the club and the players so at the end of the day it was a no-brainer for me.' Hanlan made 20 league and cup appearances for Colchester after joining them on loan from Charlton, in the 2017-18 season. The forward, who has recently been on loan at Stevenage, scored twice in his first three appearances for the U's but failed to net after that and then struggled to claim a place in John McGreal's starting line-up. Advertisement Hanlan has since gone on to make nearly 250 appearances at League One level, scoring 48 times in those matches. Former Colchester United attacker signs for Scottish club Doncaster boss Grant McCann told the club's website: 'He's someone who has annoyed me whenever I've come up against him. 'Brandon brings his energy, his pressing, his aggression. 'Our front three has to run and work. They start every line of defence for us in terms of what they do. 'Brandon brings that first and foremost and now it's up to us to get him into goalscoring positions. "We create chances, this team will create chances for Brandon and we need to get him between the posts to take them.'

Carabao Cup brings in preliminary round for 2025-26
Four EFL sides will compete in the newly introduced preliminary round of the Carabao Cup in August [Getty Images] The 2025-26 Carabao Cup will include a preliminary round to accommodate the increased number of Premier League clubs with European commitments. Nine top-flight sides are set to participate in European competitions next season, prompting the change to help reduce the number of clubs in the first two rounds. Advertisement The preliminary round will feature the two sides promoted from the National League and the two clubs who finished 21st and 22nd in League Two. They will be separated regionally, as is customary with the competition's early rounds, meaning Accrington Stanley will face Oldham Athletic while Barnet take on Newport County. The home sides for those ties will be drawn at the same time as the draw for round one, on 26 June at 16:30 BST. All EFL clubs - other than the two eliminated in the preliminary round - will participate in round one of the competition. The 11 Premier League sides not in Europe enter at the second-round stage while the nine sides to have qualified for Europe - Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace - come in at round three. Advertisement Palace are waiting for their participation in the Europa League to be rubber-stamped by Uefa, as John Textor's Eagle Football group has a minority shareholding in Palace and a majority stake in French side Lyon, who have also qualified for next season's European competition. Bettors backing Town for League Two title en masse
Swindon Town have been a favourite amongst bettors to win League Two next season during the early stages of the markets. The beginning of the League Two season is still seven weeks away, but the odds have already been set for who could be going up and going down, with Swindon being seen as a side who could challenge, based on their odds. Advertisement Swindon were set at 16/1 by Betfair, the same as Shrewsbury Town, Barnet, Crawley Town, and Grimsby Town, but behind the current favourites Milton Keynes Dons and Chesterfield at 8/1, with Notts County, Bristol Rovers, Salford City, Gillingham, Walsall, Colchester United, and Cambridge United all being favoured above them as well. Although many teams have shorter odds than them, Oddschecker revealed that 25 per cent of all bets on the League Two winner have been placed on Ian Holloway's side so far. Swindon have not been shying away from any expectations this summer, with Tom Nichols, James Ball, Connor Ripley, and Filozofe Mabete all mentioning that the target for the team this season will be to win promotion. Advertisement That aim has been clear from Holloway all along, who even said that not winning promotion last year was a 'failure', but is set on going for it again and will not be accepting any less. He said: 'My problem is getting a team that is good enough to get up from this division and into a higher one. 'If we had had another ten games [last season] then I would have fancied our chances, but unfortunately we didn't, so we need a fresh start. The Holloway call - The secret behind Swindon's early transfer business Advertisement James Ball - Swindon's potential Ofoborh replacement who fills two key spots 'I mean a fresh start, and I hope that I have done enough to make people believe that I might be able to get a good team here next year as well and the year after that and after that. 'This is about me selling them the dream [to players] of how they will feel this time next year when we get promoted, and then how you will feel when we are aiming to go from that division to the next one. 'That is the mentality that I am looking for and the reality that I want, and I won't put up with things unless we do that. 'That is pressure on myself, but you have to have standards, and you have to have people who want to be the best people they can be.'
