Welsh The Traitors contestant Elen Wyn, competed in the most recent series of the hit BBC show and was best known for her almost spot-on suspicions about strong female traitors and teaching the other contestants the Welsh language. Now the 25-year-old who lives in Cardiff has shared behind the scenes details how she was looked after by the welfare team on the show.
Speaking about the duty of care she was offered on the show as a result of the team being aware of her having endometriosis, Elen said: 'The producers and the welfare team up in Inverness were amazing with me because they were aware that I had endometriosis.
'They were very accommodating. I told them exactly what I like to consume on a day-to-day basis, and they did accommodate me to the best of their ability, and I'm really grateful for that.'

The series finale saw Jake Brown and Leanne Quigley as the last two standing and were able to split the prize pot equally, which saw them take home £47,300 each.
Unfortunately Elen, who said she was going to use the prize money on surgery to remove her endometriosis had she won, was the second contestant to be banished.
She said: 'Being in the castle itself, that game was not for me. I did struggle in there.
'However, I have met the most amazing people. It was the nature of the game that didn't suit me, but the actual people in there were amazing on and off camera.
'That cast, there were so many amazing people in there. I've made friends for life and I have so much love for them, you wouldn't believe.'
Since the show Elen has gone on to build quite the platform, whether that be fans of her on the reality show or from raising awareness of endometriosis on social media since the series aired.
She explained: 'I will forever be so grateful for the producers who believed in me and got me on the show. I'm so very grateful for the opportunities that have come since January because of the traitors. I wasn't expecting it at all.
'I gained quite a big following, which I wasn't expecting, and I decided I wanted to do something good with it.'
The translator has decided to post endometriosis content on social media throughout March, Endometriosis Awareness Month, to highlight the debilitating condition which around 1.5 million of women and those assigned female at birth in the United Kingdom are diagnosed with.

The filmmaker and photographer will recount tales from his encounters with pandas, polar bears, grizzly bears, lions, jaguars, and the many adventures he has had over the years. A spokesman for the explorer said: 'Hailed as Scotland's own David Attenborough, Gordon Buchanan has dedicated his life to exploring the untamed beauty of the natural world, from forests to snowy landscapes and from towering mountains to the depths of the great rainforests. 'All his travels were with a single mission in mind: To capture the majestic bears and big cats on film and reveal their secrets to a global audience.' He began his career n filmmaking in 1989 and travelled to Sierra Leone to document animals in the Gola Rainforest, he has worked on the Big Cat Diary series and the BBC series Lost Land Of The… Last year, he performed the tour to 25 venues, and he is looking forward to getting back on the road. Speaking about the new tour, Gordon said: 'I had a wonderful time touring Lions and Tigers and Bears earlier this year – and I had to say 'Yes' when the chance came up to go back out on the road to a load of new venues. 'From pandas in China to orphaned grizzlies in Russia, from high-altitude tigers in the Himalayas to jaguars in the depths of the Amazon, I have been fortunate enough to meet many of these incredible creatures in their natural habitats – and I love being able to share their secrets with audiences. 'I cannot wait to get back out there, to meet more animal lovers and to tell more tales of amazing adventures.' Doors for the event will open at 6.30pm, and the show will start at 7.30pm. BBC Spotlight NI wins Amnesty Media Award

The BBC has won an award for a documentary about the murder of showjumper Katie Simpson at an awards ceremony in London. BBC Northern Ireland picked up the Nations and Regions Award for Spotlight: Katie – Coerced and Killed at the Amnesty Media Awards. The 12 categories commended the most outstanding human rights journalism of the last year. Other winners included Channel 4, Financial Times, ITV News, BBC Eye Investigations, The Guardian and BBC Radio 4. The awards ceremony took place at the BFI Southbank in London on Wednesday night. It was hosted by actor, writer and director Jolyon Rubinstein and featured a performance by singer Emeli Sandé. The Nations and Regions Award is supported by the Players of the People's Postcode Lottery. This year, the award ceremony shone a spotlight on the dangers that journalists often face to expose human rights issues. At least 124 journalists and media workers were killed in 2024, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists, with 70% of those a result of Israeli military action in Gaza and Lebanon. A special award for Outstanding Contribution to Human Rights Journalism was presented to Al-Jazeera's Gaza bureau chief, Wael Al-Dahdouh , who gave a speech during the ceremony. Amnesty International UK chief executive Sacha Deshmukh said "some truly breathtaking journalism" was highlighted during the ceremony. He said this was "proof that good human rights reporting is absolutely essential for exposing injustices and holding power to account". "Journalism is far more than just reporting on the facts - it can instigate very real, concrete change that impacts peoples' lives across the planet. "At a time when journalists around the globe are under increased attack and at risk of being silenced, it is more important than ever to champion their work and make a stand for press freedom."
