Video shows water gushing from broken slide aboard Royal Caribbean cruise, injuring one guest
The footage, recorded by Jim Muldoon on Thursday, shows startled passengers screaming in fear as water cascades from the slide above. Several people can be heard shouting, "Stop the slide. Stop the slide," as the incident unfolds.
In a statement, Royal Caribbean confirmed that an adult guest was injured when the acrylic glass broke off in the slide while the guest was inside.
"Our team provided medical care to an adult guest when acrylic glass broke off a water slide as the guest passed through the slide," a spokesperson said. "The guest is being treated for his injuries. The water slide is closed for the remainder of the sailing pending an investigation."
The cruise is expected to return to Miami this Saturday.

"The underlying technology issue has been resolved, and, while we expect residual delays, our team is working to restore our normal operations." Despite the relatively speedy correction, United Airlines was hit with backlash as many passengers were left "stranded" on the tarmac."Stuck on the tarmac at #denverinternationalairport on a United flight for over an hour with no updates on the reason for delay! Unprofessional from #Unitedairlines," one passenger shared via X. "You have to let people off planes soon. This is unbearable," another frustrated travel wrote. A third wrote to the airline begging for an update. "Is there any update on the nationwide grounded flights? Thousands of your customers are stranded right now and you are being dead silent about it." The airline responded, "Due to a technology outage, we are temporarily holding some United flights at their departure airports to manage gate availability at destination airports. This may result in delays throughout the evening as we work to resolve the situation. Our teams are focused on restoring normal operations as quickly as possible while maintaining safety as our highest priority. We apologize for the inconvenience." This outdoor dining scene in New Jersey shines during summer with global flavors and small-town charm
With more than 30 restaurants offering a wide variety of international dishes, downtown Haddonfield has become a destination for diners seeking both flavor and atmosphere. Residents say the small town offers the feel of a global culinary tour — without leaving South Jersey. "I'm able to get Middle Eastern food, French food, Indian food, Italian food," said Chris Heckert, who lives in Haddonfield. "You have all kinds of choices," said Jane Brick, another resident. At El Nopalito, owner Rosalba Palillero serves food inspired by her hometown of Puebla, Mexico. Her menu includes fajitas, enchiladas poblanas, and tamales topped with sunny-side-up eggs — all made from scratch. "It's a strong, family-based restaurant," Palillero said. Nearby, Chef Manish Chopra prepares northern Indian cuisine at Cross Culture. Dishes include samosa chaat, spicy eggplant and shrimp, and aloo gobi — a cauliflower and potato curry. "It means everything to be a part of Haddonfield and to share our food, our culture," said co-owner Vaneet Chopra, Manish's son. Many of the restaurants along Kings Highway offer outdoor seating, giving the area a distinctly European vibe in the warmer months. "There's something about the New York and/or Europe vibe about eating outside," Heckert said. At Umile Trattoria, co-owner David Murray creates Italian-inspired dishes with seasonal ingredients, including panzanella salad, ruby beet gnocchi, and bruschetta pizza. "Dishes that have our true Italian feel to it while embracing New Jersey," Murray said. For dessert, Umile offers its own version of a s'more — toasted to order. What makes it Italian? The Nutella. "We jokingly call this our Nutella campfire s'more," Murray said. But jokes aside, Murray, who is half Italian, says he's serious about authenticity. He frequently travels to Italy to expand his knowledge of modern Italian cuisine. "I'm going to continue to go and continue to grow [and do] extensive research," he said. According to the Downtown Haddonfield Partnership, these restaurants are part of 200 storefront businesses in the downtown area.

Are These the Best Roads in California? We Took a Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder RS to Find Out
Where else would we start? Our new video series, created with help from our sponsors at Shell, is called Road Trip America, and— predictable or not—the roads, car culture, and endless sunshine make California the perfect place to begin our adventures. I'd love to tell you we really thought outside of the box when marrying California's amazing roads with a suitable car. Yet, that would be a lie. It had to be a Porsche. An open-topped, hardcore Porsche sports car for the full cliché. I'm not apologizing, though. The 718 Boxster Spyder RS is just too good to regret. California's roads are too good to ignore. And we'll have some weirder, more unexpected combinations to come. There will be a very, very fast Mustang, a BMW Z3 M, and roads and trails from across this almost embarrassingly blessed nation when it comes to spectacular, sparsely populated locations and challenging roads. Our first episode starts among friends at the life-affirming Good Vibes Breakfast Club, a casual but burgeoning gathering at Newcomb's Ranch located on the—speaking of clichés—Angeles Crest Highway. However, this is just a brief jumping-off point and a chance to get recommendations from people who live and breathe California's canyon roads. From there, we head north to Ojai and then waaaay north to San Luis Obispo, via an unforgettable night at Ventura Raceway and scenery (and heat) to melt your brain. What a place! The scope of these videos is ambitious. Doing justice to several days and dozens of different stretches of tarmac, plus the people we meet along the way, is extremely difficult. But even if we just scratch the surface, the idea is to gently persuade our readers and viewers to explore beyond that one local road you love, maybe even to plan a trip around the pure excitement of driving in free air in new places. The series is inspired, at least in part, by Experiences by Road & Track, but also shows the accessibility of having these adventures any time. Admittedly, not everyone has a Boxster Spyder RS to play with… but in lieu of pay, I at least like to have fun at work. Which is a version of the American Dream, I guess? And I did. I love the Spyder RS. It's so much more supple than the super-hardcore GT4 RS and much happier on the road as a result. The gargling, intense intake noise is still present (and mildly deafening), but the tone is less painful than the closed Cayman, and the whole car feels more expressive and recreational. It's honed and has a dynamic polish that's typical Porsche, but there's a lightness of touch about the Spyder RS. It flows where a GT4 RS might scratch and fight the tarmac, and the balance is sublime. Even the chopped hotrod-style design language feels tailor-made for California's remarkable network of soaring roads that seem to go on forever. Like I said before, where else would we start? Perhaps a bigger question is, how are we going to top this?
