Couldn't ask for much better out there today as temperatures have spiked into the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon. The wildfire smoke returned, but levels have not been high.
For this evening, we should stay dry until after 8 or 9pm as a wave of scattered showers and a few storms are expected to impact areas south of HWY 29 for a few hours tonight. With clear skies tonight up north, expect temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s. With clouds holding areas south, expect lows in the middle to upper 50s.
Tomorrow, sunshine in the Northwoods with clouds and a few passing showers mainly south of Appleton. Highs will range from the middle and upper 60s to low 70s, warmest up north where you will see more sunshine.
This boundary will start to work north during the evening and that will fill in the clouds and shift the rain chances further north, so expecting a few showers Thursday evening and night.
Friday will be our best chance to see the rain. Expect rain that could be steady at times up north for the morning and early afternoon, with clouds and a few spotty showers south of Green Bay. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s up north, with low to mid 60s south of Green Bay. Total rainfall amounts 0.25-0.75″, isolated higher.
Might see a shower early in the morning Saturday, but skies should be mostly cloudy. Much better weather arrives by Fathers Day.

Scattered PM Storms for Father's Day Weekend, Summer Begins Friday!
FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND:We're starting out in the low 70s this morning, and with dewpoints in the low 70s, there are some areas of fog or reduced visibility. We'll see mostly cloudy skies for today with scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. We aren't expecting anything severe, but they could definitely pack a punch. Highs today will be in the upper 80s. Sunday, we'll see a little more sun with highs near 90, and again those afternoon and evening pop up showers and storms. Tuesday through Thursday, the chance for showers and storms decreases as we only see isolated storms and highs in the low 90s. Humidity levels will remain quite highs, so heat index levels could easily approach 100°. By the weekend, the rain chances continue to decrease, although with the humidity levels still fairly high, there will be continued chances for stray afternoon an evening showers and storms. Storms tonight ahead of summer-like warmth
Warm weekend Isolated storm chances Staying humid Much of northeastern Kansas will remain dry today ahead of a few scattered thunderstorms tonight. Temperatures tonight drop down into the middle to upper 60s with a partly cloudy sky and a light southeast wind. Fathers Day will start off mostly cloudy as showers and thunderstorms push south. Highs will climb into the upper 80s with low 90s in some areas. Most areas dry out past mid-day ending Fathers Day with mostly sunny skies. Humidity will also begin to build as we head into the latter part of the week. We'll start out next week in the 90s with sunny skies. Rain returns for the middle of the week next week with the chance for some isolated showers and storms across much of the area later Tuesday evening. Hot & muggy conditions for Father's Day weekend, more tropical downpours
(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good Saturday morning and happy Father's Day weekend! Expect a mainly dry start this morning, with warm and muggy conditions. Temperatures are in the lower 70s to start the day. High temperatures will climb into the mid-80s today, but it will feel like the low to mid-90s when you factor in the heat index. If you are going to be outside for long periods, drink plenty of water and find shade when you can! There will be scattered showers and storms this afternoon to help cool things down at times. While severe weather is unlikely, localized instances of flash flooding may occur due to tropical downpours. The forecast will be copied and pasted for Father's Day. A few stray showers in the morning, with temperatures starting in the 70s. Father's Day afternoon will bring mid-80s temperatures, with a feel-like temperature in the low to mid-90s. Much like today, scattered downpours and storms will develop for Father's Day afternoon, which could lead to more localized flash flooding issues. This hot and muggy pattern will continue for next week, along with afternoon and evening scattered storm chances.
