CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 13-year-old Cerenittie George.
George was last seen in the 300 block of Orchard Trace Lane, wearing tan baggy pants, a white shirt, and a green long-sleeved shirt layered on top.
CMPD said she is described as a Black female, 5'5' tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with black dreadlocked hair and brown eyes.
CMPD is urging anyone who spots her or has information about her whereabouts to call 911 immediately. George turns 14 in just one day, on May 24. Woman pleads guilty to aggravated robbery at Urbana car dealership
Editor's Note: Video aired in 2023, after police arrested multiple people in connection to the armed robbery at Crispin Auto. CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Nearly two years after the crime occurred, a woman has pleaded guilty for her role in an armed robbery at an Urbana dealership in 2023. On June 7, 2023, a Crispin Auto employee was robbed at gunpoint and a car was stolen. The next day multiple people were arrested in a McLean County town. Police officials said the car they were driving in was stolen from an Urbana dealership. Michaella Campbell pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery on Monday. She was ordered to serve 48 months of probation, 180 days in the Champaign County Correctional Center (with credit for 145 days previously served) and 100 hours of public service work. If Cook County approves, the probation will be served in their jurisdiction. WCIA previously reported that surveillance video obtained after the aggravated robbery shows the incident started with a test drive involving an employee and two White women. When the three returned to Crispin Auto, two Black men were recorded on surveillance footage running up to the car as the employee was getting out. One pointed a gun to the back of the employee's head and shoved her out of the way. Seconds later, the same employee was pepper sprayed by one of the women before she got in the car with the other suspects and drove away. This included Michael Roberts, Deandre Young and an unnamed female juvenile. Roberts and Young previously pleaded guilty, in June and December of 2024 respectively, to aggravated robbery. They each received 48 months of probation, and a 180-day jail sentence. Roberts received 366 days credited for time served, while Young received 545 days credited for time served. Diddy Trial Sees Heckler Disrupt Court as Judge Learns Anonymous Witness' Name Leaked Online
Disturbances were abound at the federal criminal trial of Sean 'Diddy Combs' on Tuesday, as a woman viewing the rap mogul's sex trafficking and racketeering trial from the gallery shouted out in the middle of open court about the defendant, disrupting ongoing testimony in the fifth week of proceedings, and the trial's judge discovered that the name of 'Mia,' a pseudonymous witness, was leaked online. The heckler on Tuesday is a woman named Jacqueline 'Candor' Williams, who has been a regular inside and outside of the courthouse at 500 Pearl Street in Lower Manhattan. She has been a fixture there, speaking to a smartphone in the front of the courthouse where members of the press await the departure of Combs' mother and sons each day; she's also been present in the court's overflow room where press and members of the public watch the untelevised trial on medium-sized closed circuit TV screens. She then yelled, 'You're laughing at a Black man's legacy,' before adding, 'Pull your gun out, ninja, I dare you.' Combs remained calm as this all occurred, but as Williams and another witness inside the courtroom told reporter Emilie Hagan, the jailed mogul pivoted in his chair with his mouth open when he heard Williams mention a security guard's gun. Judge Arun Subramanian quickly ordered the woman removed from the courtroom. Williams said that she has been told not to return to the trial room but that she is still allowed to view proceedings from the overflow room. The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Williams via Instagram but did not immediately receive a reply. Her outburst caused a minor delay, and it occurred prior to the start of testimony from Eddy Garcia, a Los Angeles hotel security employee, when the 2016 incident occurred where Combs beat and dragged ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in L.A., all of which was caught on security footage. Garcia was a 33-year-old security guard at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. He testified about speaking with a nervous-sounding Combs and his chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, about the footage of the rap mogul viciously beating then-girlfriend Ventura in a hallway there nearly a decade ago. He told the court he ultimately accepted $100,000 for what he believed was the only footage of the horrific incident. Garcia testified that he split the money with a manager and another staff member, another guard; however, he had filmed the footage to show to his wife, and video of Combs attacking Ventura eventually leaked to CNN. Garcia's testimony followed that of 'Mia,' a former personal assistant of Combs who used a pseudonym in court as part of her testimony, which included discussion of several alleged incidents where she says she was raped or sexually assaulted by Combs. On Tuesday, the identity of 'Mia' was leaked online by a YouTube streamer and posted on X (formerly Twitter) by another outlet. Prosecutor Maurene Comey raised the state's concerns about the leaked name after the YouTube streamer shared Mia's identity; the streamer has now been barred from the federal court and will no longer be able to cover court proceedings. Comey told the judge that a second outlet had posted the real name of 'Mia' on X and requested that the judge ensure the post was removed and the source who posted it online was barred from court. The state prosecutors have been asked to draft a possible court order for consideration. Combs was federally indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution in September and has been held in a Brooklyn federal jailhouse since then. Woman Kicked out of Courtroom for What She Yelled at Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal trial took an unexpected turn on June 3 when the proceedings were disrupted. A female heckler yelled out his nickname in the Manhattan courtroom, along with "several profanities," according to People. "These motherf—ers are laughing at you," she screamed and then added, "You're laughing at a Black man's legacy" and "Pull your gun out, ninja, I dare you." Judge Arun Subramanian had her removed from the courtroom while Combs reportedly did not react to the disruption. The disturbance came on a crucial day of testimony from Eddy Garcia, a security guard at InterContinental Hotel in Century City, CA where Combs was spotted by surveillance cameras beating former girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016. The CCTV video was leaked by CNN in 2024. Garcia said on the stand that the music producer asked him for the footage because it would otherwise "ruin him," per The Independent. Garcia testified that his boss offered it to Combs for $50,000. Per Garcia, the video was delivered to the performer in exchange for $100,00 via a paper bag. Garcia's boss reportedly had "to sign an NDA with a $1 million penalty." Combs is facing two charges of sex trafficking, two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, and a racketeering conspiracy charge after federal investigators accused him of "kidnapping, drugging, and coercing women into sexual activities, sometimes using firearms or threats of violence" between 2004 and 2024, per the BBC. His trial, which began on May 12, is expected to last eight to 10 weeks. He faces life in prison for the racketeering charge alone. Combs has continued to maintain his innocence to the charges, but he apologized for his behavior after the Ventura clip surfaced. "I take full responsibility for my actions in that video," Combs said in a now-deleted Instagram statement in May 2024. "I was disgusted then when I did it.
