Kuwait's Combined Group wins Wafra gasline deal

Kuwait-listed Combined Group Contracting Company (CGCC) announced on Thursday that it has been awarded a contract to build a pipeline to export gas from Wafra Joint Operations venture owned by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
CGCC said in a bourse disclosure statement that it has received a letter confirming the awarding of the project with a value of around 12.7 million Kuwaiti dinars ($42 million).
The project was awarded by the state-owned Kuwait Oil Company and is expected to be completed within 30 months, CGCC said.
In late 2022, Saudi Aramco and KOC signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop the Durrra gas field located in the Neutral Zone, which is shared by the two Gulf countries. The project aims to produce 280 million cubic metres of gas and around 84,000 barrels of LNG per day.

A total of 63% of investors are very confident in the UAE's current economic performance, the report noted.A total of 59% of respondents said they are 'very confident' in the long-term performance of UAE stocks, and 48% are expecting significant gains over the next 58% believe the Middle East will offer the best returns over the next five years, just ahead of the US at 50%.The most promising UAE sectors, according to the investors surveyed, include real estate (55%), technology (48%), financial services (37%), as well as energy (37%).Most are leaning deeper into UAE equities (53%) or shifting towards commodities (51%) like gold, which 49% cite as the most resilient remains a strong player too, with 54% already 65% have increased their portfolio contributions recently, and 76% expect to continue doing so in the coming quarter. George Naddaf, Managing Director of eToro MENA, spoke to Aletihad about how these trends align with eToro's latest move: the launch of 24/5 trading for UAE investors. Egypt: Sinai Cement's consolidated profits hike 18% in H1-25

The consolidated net profits of Sinai Cement reached EGP 768.81 million in the first half (H1) of 2025, marking an 18.03% year-on-year (YoY) increase from EGP 651.31 million. Net sales jumped to EGP 4.01 billion as of 30 June 2025 from EGP 2.68 billion in H1-24, according to the financial results. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at EGP 2.08 in H1-25, compared to EGP 4.89 in the same period of 2024. Standalone Results In the first six months (6M) of 2025, the non-consolidated net profits rose to EGP 766.15 million when compared to EGP 658.62 million in H1-24. Meanwhile, the EPS retreated to EGP 2.07 in H1-25 from EGP 4.95 a year earlier. Financials for Q2-25 During the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, the EGX-listed firm achieved EGP 571.50 million in consolidated net profits, an annual hike from EGP 350.19 million. The company generated net sales totaling EGP 2 billion in April-June 2025, versus EGP 1.51 billion in Q2-24. The EPS declined to EGP 1.34 from EGP 2.63. In Q2-25, the company posted higher standalone net profits at EGP 571.90 million, versus EGP 355.84 million in the year-ago period. In 2024, Sinai Cement swung to consolidated net profits at EGP 3.07 billion, versus net losses of EGP 121.42 million in 2023. Gulf Takaful Insurance Company successfully completes capital increase of KWD 7mln

Kuwa: In its capacity as the issuer, Gulf Takaful Insurance Company K.S.C.C. 'GTIC', and the Kuwait Financial Centre 'Markaz', the lead manager and subscription agent, announced in a joint statement the successful completion of GTIC's capital increase, raising a total value of KWD 7 million through the issuance of 70,286,789 ordinary shares at a subscription price of 100 Kuwaiti fils per share, representing 70% of the issued and paid-up capital of the company. The subscription period for the rights issue ran from 10 June to 24 June 2025. Mr. Mubarak Othman Al-Ayyar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Gulf Takaful Insurance Company, expressed his contentment with the successful subscription process, which reflects the shareholders' confidence in the quality and performance of the company.
