Prince William and Princess Charlotte pose for cute photo at Euro 2025 final
Prince William and Princess Charlotte are ready for some soccer. The Prince of Wales, 43, and his 10-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte stepped out on Sunday, July 27, in Switzerland to attend the UEFA Women's Euro 2025 final between England and Spain. Charlotte, who wore a blue dress with white polka dots for the occasion, posed for photos with her dad at the event, as seen in a picture shared on the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account. Ahead of the match, William wished the England women's national soccer team good luck in an Instagram story. "The nation is so proud you are through to the final after some stunning comebacks!" he wrote. "We are all cheering you on!" William checked in with another message halfway through the match, writing, "May the best team win." Princess Charlotte looks just like Prince William in birthday photo taken by Princess Kate The public outing comes after William, Charlotte, Princess Kate and Prince George all stepped out on July 13 to attend the Wimbledon Championships' singles final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. Charlotte was wearing a ruffled white dress for that game. The royal family recently celebrated Prince George's 12th birthday on Tuesday, July 22. In a photo shared on Instagram, George was seen wearing a blue and white button-down shirt and zip-up vest, and a video showed him posing for pictures with his siblings Charlotte and Prince Louis, 7. Though she announced in January that her cancer is in remission, she was unexpectedly absent from a scheduled public appearance at Royal Ascot in June. Earlier this month, while visiting Colchester Hospital in Essex, Kate discussed how the next phase of recovery after treatment can be challenging. "You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment," she said. "Treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually the phase afterwards is really, really difficult." Padraig Harrington wins Senior British Open for his second senior major title this year
BERKSHIRE, England (AP) — Padraig Harrington was so focused on his game that he didn't notice a leaderboard or see Rory McIlroy walking in the gallery Sunday at the Senior British Open. He closed with a 3-under 67 to win his second senior major of the year. Staked to a two-shot lead, Harrington made eagle on the first hole on the Old Course at Sunningdale and no one got closer than two shots the rest of the way as he became the fifth player with a Senior British Open and a British Open title. He won by three shots over Thomas Bjorn (67) and Justin Leonard (68). 'I'm thrilled to have won but very satisfied that I've won a Senior Open with my two Opens,' Harrington said. 'The fact that only five people have ever done it is quite special. I'm quite proud that I've managed to survive this long in the game.' He joined Darren Clarke, Tom Watson, Gary Player and Bob Charles as players to have won the British Open and the senior version. McIlroy walked around for a bit on the London-area course, though it wasn't much of a show. Harrington seized control late in the third round and never gave anyone much of a chance. Bjorn made a late charge to get within two shots, but that ended with a bogey on the 16th. "The only time I saw a leaderboard was on 18," said Harrington, who said he asked his caddie for an update on the 17th hole. 'Was fully focused on what I was doing. The Irishman was surprised to hear McIlroy, who is building a home in London, was at Sunningdale for the final round. 'I didn't see him out there. Was he out there?' Harrington said. 'I had the head down all day. I never saw anybody. I had no idea.' Harrington now has 11 titles on the PGA Tour Champions, and he has won multiple times each of the last four seasons. He won the U.S. Senior Open last month at The Broadmoor. And he nearly won the Senior PGA Championship at Congressional until a late two-shot swing gave the title to Angel Cabrera. ___ AP golf:

EU's von der Leyen: trade deal delivers certainty in uncertain times
PRESTWICK, Scotland (Reuters) -European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday said a U.S. baseline tariff rate of 15% on imported EU goods would apply to cars, semiconductors and pharmaceutical goods. She also said that a zero-for-zero tariff rate had been agreed for certain strategic products, including aircraft and aircraft parts, certain chemicals, and certain generic drugs. No decision had been taken on a rate for wine and spirits, she added. "Today's deal creates certainty in uncertain times, delivers stability and predictability," von der Leyen told reporters before leaving Scotland.
