July 1. Moving Day. The day when Montrealers who own trucks are mysteriously silent.
They've either already committed to helping a friend move or are laying low so they're not asked at the last minute. And they really, really don't want to lug your fridge in 30 C temperatures or a thunderstorm (a truly great friend will do it anyway).
The high for the day is expected to be 26 C with a humidex of 35 C and a UV index 7, or high. There will be showers throughout the day and the risk of a thunderstorm early in the evening. The overnight low will be 20 C.

Here's the forecast for the rest of the week: Wednesday, July 2: The day will start sunny, transitioning to a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 percent chance of showers late in the afternoon and the risk of a thunderstorm. Fog patches will dissipate in the morning. The high will be 29C, feeling like 34 with the humidex. The UV index remains very high at 9. The night will bring cloudy periods with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a low of 17C. Thursday, July 3: A sunny day is in store with a high of 25C. The night will be clear with a low of 13C. Friday, July 4: Expect another sunny day with a high of 28C. The night will be clear with a low of 19C. Saturday, July 5: The sunny streak continues with a high of 31C. The night will be clear with a low of 22C. Sunday, July 6: A mix of sun and cloud is predicted with a 60 perc ent chance of showers. The high will be 30C. The night will be cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and a low of 20C.
