Giants' Russell Wilson has 1-word response to viral OTAs moment
The post Giants' Russell Wilson has 1-word response to viral OTAs moment appeared first on ClutchPoints.
It appears that New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson has a rapport with wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, and a particular throw went viral on social media from OTAs.

In the video, Wilson throws a deep ball to Hyatt. It is a slow-motion video of one of Wilson's signature moon balls, and it hits Hyatt right in the hands.
Wilson reacted to the video that the Giants posted on X, formerly Twitter. He wrote, 'JHatt!' in response, which must be his nickname for the third-year receiver.
Is Russell Wilson going to be the Giants' starting quarterback?
Currently, Wilson is participating in his first year of OTAs with the Giants. He signed with them during the offseason after spending a season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
More than likely, Wilson will end up starting Week 1 for the Giants. He is a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and could bring stability to the position the team has lacked since Eli Manning retired.

Still, Wilson was not the only signal-called that the Giants signed this offseason. They also brought in Jameis Winston, another long-time NFL veteran, to compete for the starting job. Not to mention, Tommy DeVito is going into his third year with the team as well.
And then there is Jaxson Dart, who the Giants traded up to select in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dart played college football at Ole Miss, the same school as Manning, and has been turning heads during the offseason.
Wilson may start the year as the team's starter, but Dart may eventually overtake him. It could be a very similar situation to Kurt Warner handing the keys to Manning in 2004.
Since being traded from the Seattle Seahawks in 2022, Wilson's career has been going downhill. He played two seasons with the Denver Broncos, going 11-19 as a starter in two seasons.
He then signed with the Steelers. After losing out on the starting job to Justin Fields, Wilson took over in Week 7 against the Giants. He then led the Steelers to the playoffs, and they lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card Round.

'They've (used) a Scientology term that means to kill me...' Leah Remini alleges substantial threats by Church of Scientology
Leah Remini has claimed the Church of Scientology has made threats to her life. The 'King of Queens' actress, 54, joined the group aged 13 when her mother became a member, and described the organisation's control over every aspect of her life in a candid new interview about the impact it has had on her and her family's lives. She spoke to Us Weekly about her ongoing trauma about extracting herself from the church after filing a civil harassment lawsuit against the Church of Scientology in 2023, alleging it orchestrated a campaign of stalking and intimidation against her and her 20-year-old daughter Sofia – with a trial scheduled for October. Leah's efforts to expose the Church of Scientology's practices began with her 2015 memoir, 'Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology', and continued with the Emmy-winning docuseries 'Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath'. She added: "They harass my underage daughter online. They've (used) a Scientology term that means to kill me (and) basically to erase me from the face of the earth. "When you talk to a lawyer, they say, 'It's going to cost you more to defend yourself than to pay them off.' 'And Scientology knows that.' A representative for the Church told Us Weekly: 'All allegations of harassment, break-ins and other salacious alleged conduct are false.' Leah added about her time in the Church: 'We (had) to report to our ethics departments – the Scientology police — and that's an everyday activity. 'Once your parents become Scientologists, they're no longer your parents.' Her break from the Church came after she was ordered to cut ties with her mother and stepfather for allegedly violating Scientology policy. She said: 'That's when I found the Brooklyn girl in me.' Leah credits the late Mike Rinder – a former high-ranking Scientologist who left in 2007 – with helping her escape. She said: 'Mike was the first person I called when I was thinking of leaving. That alone was a high crime in Scientology. 'He was so comforting.' Leah said the Church continues to harass Sofia online, and that the pressure has taken a toll. The actress added: 'She's constantly petrified that her phone is being tapped. 'I had to get her help for that, and she's OK; we got through a rough patch.'

Montez Sweat says Grady Jarrett's leadership will be key for Bears
Montez Sweat says Grady Jarrett's leadership will be key for Bears The Chicago Bears bolstered the roster this offseason with some big additions, including veteran defensive tackle Grady Jarrett. Jarrett spent his first 10 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, before being released ahead of free agency, and he now joins a Bears defensive line loaded with talent. Jarrett could be a big help alongside Montez Sweat and fellow free-agent signing, Dayo Odeyingbo, as well as interior linemen Gervon Dexter and Andrew Billings. While Jarrett's resume speaks for itself, Sweat believes his new teammate can be beneficial both from a production and leadership standpoint, which is very much needed in the locker room. "Grady has brought a lot of leadership and experience to the room," Sweat said. "He helps out the young guys a lot. He's also kind of played in this type before. And some players haven't, including me. So he's helping out in that aspect too. So yeah, Grady is a big help right now." Getting a player in Jarrett not only helps the on-field product, but it helps build a locker room that was broken beyond belief last year. Throughout the 2024 season, amid the team's 10-game losing streak and 5-12 record, players called for more accountability and leadership. Signing players like Jarrett, who has played in a Super Bowl, will help bring back stability in the locker room and, even in his first year, will establish himself as a leader for this defense.
