Speculation has been rife over who will be replacing Joe ever since his departure announcement.
The 69-year-old appeared on Morning Ireland today and confirmed that there will be no Liveline break and it'll be back on air on Monday.
And it's been revealed in the RTE Radio 1 schedule that Countrywide host Philip Boucher-Hayes will be hosting the programme all next week.

The renowned reporter has previously filled in on Liveline in Joe's absence.
The Kildare native joined the national station in 1993 when he began reporting on RTE Radio 1's Five Seven Live and RTE 2FM's The Gerry Ryan Show before producing The Gay Byrne Show.
In 1997, he moved to Today FM before rejoining the RTE Radio 1 team just one year later.

RTE have yet to disclose Joe's permanent successor but have told listeners to expect an announcement in the autumn after they run a process to decide over the coming months.
However, rumours that Katie Hannon will be taking on the gig went into overdrive following a bombshell announcement.
RTE chiefs confirmed that its flagship Monday night current affairs series, Upfront with Katie Hannon,
after three seasons on air.

She will also host a new TV series ahead of the Presidential election, which must take place by November.
In a statement, Hannon, 53, said: 'I'm very proud of what we achieved on Upfront.
"We managed to buck the international trend and actually grew our audience on linear television and our digital footprint.
"It was a privilege to work with our small team of talented and hardworking colleagues led by our editor Janet Traynor.
'I also want to thank all of those who came into our studio and trusted us with their stories and contributed to the national conversation on the issues that matter to all of us.
"I'm disappointed that we won't be able to keep that conversation going.'

Carl Mullan shares classy gesture from Will Leahy after Rose of Tralee exit
RTE star Carl Mullan has said Will Leahy was one of the first people to call him to congratulate him on landing the Master of Ceremonies' job at this year's Rose of Tralee. It was revealed last Friday that Will had been dropped from the job of introducing the Roses at the Tralee festival after 20 years. 2FM Breakfast radio star Carl was announced as the new Master of Ceremonies. But speaking just hours ahead of Monday night's televised Rose of Tralee, Carl said Will was one of the first to call him and give him tips. He said: 'Will is an absolute pro and a legend. He was doing it for 20 years. So of course (it's big shoes to fill). I mean to follow someone like Will. It's a great honour is the biggest thing I would say. 'Everything you need to know about Will Leahy is the fact that he was the first person on the phone to me, and he was giving me all the tips, all the pointers, all the banana skins, kind of everything like, you know what I mean? 'So knowing that you have someone like that on your side and helping you along the way and giving you advice is absolutely amazing.' The Dubliner said he is 'excited' to get going with the festival, which is hosted by Daithi O Se and Kathryn Thomas. 'I'm just really excited for it now, especially now that I've arrived in you can get a sense of the buzz around the place. 'It's nearly when you're at home and you're just waiting, that's the worst part, whereas now I'm just really excited. I always have to keep reminding myself as well. I'm like, if you can dance on live television, having not known at all how to dance the week beforehand, you can do anything.' He said laughing. But he said the Rose of Tralee 'isn't about me' but he will try and have a lot of fun with his master of ceremonies duties. 'Well, I think the most important thing I would say is, like, it's not about me, it's about the Roses, 'But, you know, I think there's definitely got to be points where I'll try and have a little bit of craic. 'And it's kind of funny as well, because you can go through rehearsals, but then when you're in the room, the energy can be very different. Nancy Lehane is a primary school teacher and multi-instrumentalist, who has been teaching since she was 14 years old. She is also a keen Gaelic footballer playing for her local club, making her just the fit for Rose contender (9/4). Alex Apati, a spokesman for Ladbrokes, said: 'The Rose of Tralee is finally here and Nancy Lehane from the Rebel County looks like she'll be taking the crown home this week, but as we know, this festival can be full of surprises!' But Nancy told us: 'It doesn't really make much difference. Like, I think this competition is not called that way at all.' Nancy said she applied to be the Cork Rose 'on a whim'. 'I kind of applied for it on a whim. I didn't really come in with any expectations at all, and I definitely didn't expect to win it. So I went to sign my boyfriend up to be an escort first, and I was filling out slightly under the cover of filling out the application form for him. 'Then we got to references. He declined after I asked him for his boss's number. So then I said, You know what? I'll go into the Cork Rose but never expected to be here. Rose of Tralee viewers 'get goosebumps' over contestant's special talent
Rose of Tralee viewers were left reaching for the tissues tonight as one contestant delivered a breathtaking performance that had the audience and viewers at home in awe. The festival returned to RTE with 32 contestants set to take the stage over two nights at the Dome in the Kerry Sports Academy, co-hosted by Kathryn Thomas and Dáithí Ó Sé. It was New Zealand Rose Ciara Jo Hanlon, who stole the spotlight with her rendition of She Moves Through The Fair. The Galway-born adventurer and teacher, now living in Wellington, has a passion for wellbeing, the outdoors and Irish culture - and her singing talent clearly struck a chord. Social media quickly lit up with praise. One fan wrote: "What a super example of an Irish Cailin. Her singing gave me goose bumps." Another echoed this saying: "Gave me goosebumps." Someone else said: "Wow. Great voice and beautiful lady." A fourth wrote: "Beautiful girl, what a voice." Another simply said: "I love her voice." Ciara Jo told how honoured she is to represent New Zealand at the 2025 festival and said she is excited to share the journey with her fellow Roses. Meanwhile, Carl Mullan made his debut as MC for the festival, taking over from Will Leahy, who hosted for two decades. Mullan called it "a huge honour" and credited Leahy for giving him tips on stepping into the iconic role. Ladbrokes has already tipped Cork Rose Nancy Lehane, a teacher and multi-instrumentalist, as the early favourite, with Wexford's Laura Daly and Limerick's Celine O'Meara close behind. Dublin Rose Edel Cronin is also in the running to become the first winner from the capital since 2003. But for many viewers, it was Ciara Jo's spellbinding voice that became the night's defining moment.
