Shaq makes one thing clear about ‘Inisde the NBA' joining ESPN next season
Shaquille O'Neal has made it clear that he is not going to change at his soon-to-be new network. During an appearance on the 'Rich Eisen Show' on Friday, O'Neal once again stood firm on the fact that he and co-host Charles Barkley will not change their personalities for ESPN. 'I don't have any concerns because I know one guy that you're never going to change, and I know another guy that's really close to him,' O'Neal said. 'The other two guys — listen, Ernie [Johnson] is a consummate professional and he can adapt to any situation. NBAE via Getty Images 'Ernie is the guy that really keeps us out of trouble and Kenny is professional, but Chuck is right there on the line and I'm right below Chuck. Chuck's not changing. I'm not changing.' O'Neal, 53, also pointed to 'The Pat McAfee Show' on the network as a model that 'Inside the NBA' could potentially follow next season. Advertisement 'I actually saw something yesterday where it said ESPN is going to give us the same no-look that they give Pat McAfee,' O'Neal added. 'So, listen, we're just going to go have fun, do what we do and talk about the game that we love and just try to make people laugh.' 3 Shaquille O'Neal, Ernie Johnson, Jalen Rose, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley talk before the game between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers on May 31, 2025 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. NBAE via Getty Images Both O'Neal and Barkley have insisted on multiple occasions that they plan to stay the same despite the network change, with the latter saying last month that he dares ESPN to fire him. Advertisement 'I'm not going to change my personality,' Barkley said during an episode of Outkick's 'Don't @ Me with Dan Dakich,' per Awful Announcing. 'Ain't nobody — they can't fire me. I make too much money to get fired. So, they can't fire me. First of all, if they fire me, they got to pay me for seven years, and I'm going to quit way before then. But if they want to fire me, I would love for them to do that. 3 Charles Barkley looks on before the game between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers during Game 6 of the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals on May 31, 2025 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. NBAE via Getty Images Advertisement 'The only decision we've been making is how long I'm going to work. … I'm not worried about getting fired. And nobody at ESPN is going to tell me what to say or do. Period.' 'Inside the NBA,' which has aired on TNT since 1989, will make the switch over to ESPN next season. Turner is still set to produce the show by licensing it to ESPN.

Top Illinois wide receiver Quentin Burrell sets visit to a Notre Dame football camp
Top Illinois wide receiver Quentin Burrell sets visit to a Notre Dame football camp Notre Dame has added another participant to its Irish Invasion recruiting event, as Class of 2027 wide receiver Quentin Burrell is returning to South Bend for another visit this weekend. The Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL) product visited Notre Dame in April after receiving an offer from the Fighting Irish on St. Patrick's Day. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound four-star prospect is the second-ranked high school player in Illinois, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Burrell has a plethora of offers from major schools, such as Michigan, Penn State, Auburn, Ole Miss and Washington. He has not taken any visits in the last month-plus, but he plans to be busy visiting in June, including a camp at Ohio State. He plans to compose a list of top schools by the end of the summer, and the Irish are well-positioned to make that list. 'I think with how everybody has been around and interacting with me, I feel like Notre Dame has a pretty big shot' he said. Burrell, who won a state championship in 2024, caught 75 passes for 1,257 yards and 18 touchdowns as a sophomore.

Notre Dame amp-up song reported to be included in major video game franchise
Notre Dame fans might be getting a little treat inside the Electronic Arts video game EA Sports College Football 26 when it launches on July 10. Fighting Irish fans who attend home games or watch them on NBC/Peacock know that the stadium operations crew plays The Dropkick Murphys' "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" to fire up the crowd just before kickoff. The song, which was also popularized in the 2006 movie The Departed and is a staple of rowdy bars every St. Patrick's Day, might be included in the game. Whether that will only be for when the player is playing as the Irish and it's a home game, or for every Notre Dame home game (i.e. if the player is playing as another school visiting a computer-controlled Irish squad), remains to be seen. Notre Dame won't be the only school getting this treatment -- Virginia Tech's use of the Metallica classic "Enter Sandman" might also be replicated in the virtual world, along with others. Apparently, when it comes to pump-up music, "it's in the game."
