LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz announces an investigation of 3D Systems Corporation ('3D Systems' or the 'Company') (NYSE: DDD) on behalf of investors concerning the Company's possible violations of federal securities laws.
IF YOU ARE AN INVESTOR WHO LOST MONEY ON 3D SYSTEMS CORPORATION (DDD), CLICK HERE TO INQUIRE ABOUT POTENTIALLY PURSUING A CLAIM TO RECOVER YOUR LOSS.
What Is The Investigation About?
On March 26, 2025, 3D Systems released its fourth quarter and full year 2024 financial results, missing consensus estimates in non-GAAP earnings-per-share and sales revenue, citing 'lower hardware systems sales due to macroeconomic factors that are negatively impacting demand.' The Company also reported a '$9 million revenue reduction in Q4 driven by a change in accounting estimates for [the Company's] Regenerative Medicine program." The Company disclosed that "[t]his change in estimate [was] related to the now anticipated use of pre-clinical human decedent testing . . . which led to refinement of the milestone technical criteria."
On this news, 3D Systems' stock price fell $0.57, or 21%, to close at $2.15 per share on March 27, 2025, thereby injuring investors.
Then, on May 12, 2025, after market hours, 3D Systems released its first quarter 2025 financial results, missing consensus estimates due, in part, to a decline in material sales, mostly due to inventory management issues in the dental portion of its Healthcare Solutions segment. The Company further disclosed that it was withdrawing its full-year 2025 outlook, citing prolonged softness in customer capital spending and macroeconomic uncertainty.
On this news, 3D Systems' stock price fell $0.68, or 26.6%, to close at $1.87 per share on May 13, 2025, thereby injuring investors further.

Expro Wins Well Test Contract for Major UK CCS Project

ABERDEEN, Scotland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Energy services provider, Expro (NYSE: XPRO), has secured a key contract to deliver integrated well testing services for a high-profile carbon capture and storage (CCS) project offshore UK. This award follows soon after the industry's much anticipated December 2024 award of the first ever carbon storage permit by the UK Regulator, the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), to the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) for the storage of carbon dioxide in the Endurance reservoir located off the North-East Coast of England. Expro has been commissioned by NEP to provide critical services that will be needed to appraise two wells in the Endurance reservoir for future CCS suitability. The production and injection testing of the Endurance aquifer will provide important information that will be used to characterize the reservoir as part of the East Coast Cluster field development plan. Expro will deliver operations using capabilities and technologies from its well testing, fluid sampling and analysis, and subsea business segments. To provide a fully integrated CCS appraisal solution, Expro has selected Baker Hughes to provide its electrical submersible pumps (ESP) and Metrol Technology for Drill Stem Testing (DST), Downhole Data Acquisition and Wireless Telemetry Services. The Endurance reservoir has the capacity to store up to 450m tonnes of CO 2. It is regarded as critical to achieving UK Government CCS targets of 20-30 million tonnes of CO 2 a year by 2030 and over 50 million tonnes a year by 2035. Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) is a joint venture between bp, TotalEnergies, and Equinor. It was formed in 2020 as the East Coast Cluster CO 2 transportation and storage provider, which will transport and store CO 2 emissions from the Teesside and the Humber industrial clusters. The contract is expected to safeguard local jobs in the North-East of Scotland, reinforcing Expro's long-standing presence in the region. The company's well test team will be based at its regional center of excellence in Aberdeen, ensuring operations are delivered utilizing local expertise. In its commitment to regional economic development, Expro will also prioritize engagement with UK-based suppliers, helping to strengthen and sustain the national energy supply chain. Expro has more than 20 years' experience in supporting CCS projects around the world, including the Northern Lights project in Norway. The company also has a 50-year-plus heritage of supporting the energy industry in the North Sea. Iain Farley, Regional Vice President for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa at Expro said: 'Our success in securing this contract for the Northern Endurance Partnership demonstrates Expro's ability to use our reservoir appraisal and well test capabilities, that have traditionally been used for the development of oil and gas reservoirs, to help kick-off the carbon storage industry in the UK. Expro is proud of both playing a key role in helping to decarbonize the UK and in the confidence that the Northern Endurance Partnership has placed in Expro to successfully deliver this project. 'This contract win builds on the success of the integrated well testing services that Expro has also provided to Equinor for the Northern Lights CCS project in Norway. It also demonstrates our commitment to the UK's CCS program and the opportunities it is expected to create for local employment, economies, and supply chains.' Notes to Editors Working for clients across the well life cycle, Expro is a leading provider of energy services, offering cost-effective, innovative solutions and what the Company considers to be best-in-class safety and service quality. Why 3D Systems (DDD) Shares Are Sliding Today

Shares of 3D printing company 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) fell 20.5% in the morning session after the company announced plans to offer $92 million in Convertible Senior Notes to qualified institutional buyers. The stock was likely down due to concerns about the dilutive effect of the notes, which can be converted to the company's ordinary stock, raising the total share count. Also, the notes have a conversion price of approximately $2.24 per share, which represents a premium of roughly 20% over 3D Systems' last trading price of $1.87 per share on June 17, 2025. The shares closed the day at $1.47, down 21.6% from previous close. The stock market overreacts to news, and big price drops can present good opportunities to buy high-quality stocks. Is now the time to buy 3D Systems? Access our full analysis report here, it's free. 3D Systems's shares are extremely volatile and have had 77 moves greater than 5% over the last year. But moves this big are rare even for 3D Systems and indicate this news significantly impacted the market's perception of the business. The previous big move we wrote about was 28 days ago when the stock dropped 5.5% after the major indices fell further in the afternoon (Nasdaq -1.3%, S&P 500 - 1.4%) as Treasury yields rose, reflecting market anxiety over a draft federal budget that could worsen the already wide US fiscal deficit. A poor auction for 20-year U.S. Treasury bonds further raised concerns, as weak demand implies investors are becoming more cautious about holding long-dated U.S. debt. As a reminder, the driver of a stock's value is the sum of its future cash flows discounted back to today. With lower interest rates (yields), investors can apply higher valuations to their stocks; when yields rise, that math works in reverse. Adding to the cautious mood were earnings results from retail giants Target and Lowe's, both of which reported weak earnings that missed expectations, pointing to a potential slowdown in consumer spending and further weighing on sentiment. Lastly, some influential voices such as Jamie Dimon (JPMorgan) and Steve Cohen (Point72) made cautious comments about the market, which can sometimes become self-fulfilling prophecies as investors increase their cautiousness and skittishness. 3D Systems is down 53.4% since the beginning of the year, and at $1.49 per share, it is trading 68.4% below its 52-week high of $4.72 from February 2025. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of 3D Systems's shares 5 years ago would now be looking at an investment worth $204.67. La-Z-Boy Inc (NYSE:LZB) reported strong fourth-quarter results with consolidated delivered sales of $571 million, a 3% increase compared to the previous year. The retail segment sales grew by 8%, driven by new stores and acquisitions, highlighting the success of their direct-to-consumer growth strategy. La-Z-Boy Inc (NYSE:LZB) opened its 200th company-owned store, now owning 55% of the total network, which strengthens their market presence. The company generated $187 million in operating cash flow for the year, an 18% increase from the prior year, and returned $113 million to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends. La-Z-Boy Inc (NYSE:LZB) maintains a strong balance sheet with $328 million in cash and no external debt, providing financial stability and flexibility for future investments. Written same-store sales for the retail segment decreased by 5% compared to the prior year's fourth quarter, indicating challenges in maintaining consistent sales growth. Joybird, a digitally native brand under La-Z-Boy Inc (NYSE:LZB), experienced a 21% decrease in written sales for the quarter, reflecting the impact of rising macroeconomic uncertainty on consumer behavior. The wholesale segment faced challenges with a significant customer transition in the international business, impacting margins and requiring strategic adjustments. The effective tax rate increased to 31.4% for the fiscal year, primarily due to a nondeductible goodwill impairment charge related to the UK business. The company anticipates continued challenges in the macroeconomic environment, which could impact consumer spending and overall industry growth in the near term. Q: Can you discuss the potential for the wholesale segment to reach a 10% margin and the factors contributing to this goal? A: Taylor Luebke, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, explained that achieving a 10% margin in the wholesale segment is part of their long-term Century Vision strategy. This includes a distribution and home delivery redesign project, which is expected to contribute significantly. However, reaching this goal also depends on a healthy industry environment, particularly a robust housing market. Q: Why is La-Z-Boy undertaking a distribution network redesign now? A: Melinda Whittington, President, Chief Executive Officer, Director, stated that the redesign is driven by recent acquisitions and the need for efficiency. The project aims to reduce warehouse overhead, optimize routes, and improve delivery experiences, ultimately enhancing service levels and reducing costs. Q: How did La-Z-Boy's sales outperform expectations despite a challenging start to the quarter? A: Melinda Whittington noted that despite a tough February, the company executed well, focusing on consumer satisfaction and business partner collaboration. This led to stronger-than-expected sales by the end of the quarter, even amid increased macroeconomic challenges. Q: What impact did tariffs have on La-Z-Boy's financials, and how is the company addressing this? A: Taylor Luebke mentioned that while tariffs did have an impact, La-Z-Boy mitigated this through nominal pricing actions and strategic inventory management. The company remains agile to respond to any changes in trade policy, focusing on minimizing consumer impact. Q: What is the long-term plan for Joybird stores, considering the current economic challenges? A: Melinda Whittington expressed confidence in Joybird's potential, noting plans to open three to four new stores this year. While the brand is still young and faces challenges, there is potential to exceed the initial goal of 25 stores, with a focus on prudent growth and optimizing the consumer experience.
