eVoost AI secures seed funding from Qora71
eVoost AI, an Abu Dhabi-based proptech founded in 2024 by Cristian Pastrana, raised seed funding from Qora71, marking the syndicate's first lead investment. The startup uses emotional profiling and behavioural segmentation to deploy AI-powered virtual agents for real estate buyers, offering tailored property suggestions and analytics. Funds will go toward the global expansion of its digital sales infrastructure. Backed by Qora71's network of 114 angels, eVoost has signed $1.9B in GMV, entered talks for $1.5B more, and partnered with a UAE developer to run digital sales funnels across the US, Europe, and Latin America. Press release: eVoost AI, an Abu Dhabi-based proptech startup revolutionising digital real estate sales through emotion-driven AI, has secured an undisclosed amount in seed funding from Qora71. The investment marks Qora71's first lead investment since its formation and reinforces the firm's growing focus on proptech innovation. Founded in 2024 by Cristian Pastrana, eVoost AI leverages emotional profiling and behavioural segmentation to power AI-native virtual agents that guide real estate buyers with personalised property recommendations and real-time analytics. The company plans to use the newly raised capital to scale its global rollout and further develop its AI-driven infrastructure for digital property sales. As part of the partnership, Qora71 will support eVoost through its syndicate network of 114 angel investors to help the startup secure new projects and market penetration. 'eVoost's strong GMV at the seed stage, exclusive-contracts model, and experienced founding team were key factors in our decision to lead this round,' said Qora71 founder Youssef Salem. eVoost has already signed USD 1.9 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV), is in late-stage negotiations for an additional USD 1.5 billion, and has activated 197 real estate units across five projects. The company is also partnering with an Emirati developer to manage digital real estate sales funnels across the US, Europe, and Latin America. This marks Qora71's latest move in a string of proptech investments. The syndicate recently led the pre-seed round for Roomz and previously backed startups like Partment and Hotdesk, with additional deals in the pipeline, Salem noted.

U.S. evacuates embassy staff, military families amid growing tensions with Iran
ALBAWABA—Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, the United States has authorized the voluntary departure of military families and non-essential diplomatic staff from key locations across the Central Command region, including Iraq, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The decision follows rising concerns over regional instability and security threats, particularly tied to the deteriorating U.S.–Iran dynamic. According to Axios, a U.S. Defense official confirmed that the Secretary of Defense authorized the move, citing the safety of military personnel and their families as a top priority. Central Command reportedly works closely with the region's State Department and allied nations to ensure operational readiness while maintaining security. The White House also confirmed that President Trump is fully briefed on repositioning U.S. personnel in the Middle East. A State Department spokesperson told Al Jazeera that the U.S. is "constantly assessing the appropriate status of employees at our embassies," reiterating Trump's commitment to the safety of Americans both domestically and abroad. A staff drawdown is already underway at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, and similar measures have been authorized in Bahrain and Kuwait due to the potential for regional unrest. Meanwhile, all U.S. military bases across the Arabian Gulf have been placed on high alert, and several reports indicate that personnel's families have been discreetly relocated to undisclosed locations. White House: US President Donald Trump is aware of the relocation of US personnel in the Middle East. — Majeed 🇸🇦KSA🇸🇦 🤝 🇸🇾 🤝 🇺🇸 (@majeed66224499) June 11, 2025 This rapid shift in U.S. posture comes as tensions with Iran flare. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a defiant address, accused Western powers of trying to provoke internal strife and suppress Iran's scientific and nuclear capabilities. "We will not submit to dictates," Pezeshkian said, adding, "They want us to dismantle our defenses so Israel can bomb us freely." At the diplomatic level, Iran's deputy foreign minister warned that Tehran has prepared countermeasures in anticipation of any adverse resolution from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors. Tehran sees any such resolution as politically motivated and unlikely to be passed by consensus. Yesterday, U.S. President Trump, in an interview with Fox News, described Iran's latest behavior in nuclear negotiations as 'more aggressive' and 'unacceptable.' He claimed Tehran was making demands that the U.S. 'can't accept,' signaling a widening gap in diplomacy.

The new funding will fuel Qanooni's expansion across the UAE and UK, and enhance its proprietary legal AI engine, reinforcing its role in driving the future of legal automation across MENA and Europe. Press release: Qanooni, a UAE-based legal technology startup, has announced the successful closure of a $2 million pre-seed funding round, backed by global and regional investors including Village Global, Salica Investments' Oryx Fund, TA Ventures, and a network of strategic angel investors. Founded by Anuscha Iqbal, Ziyaad Ahmed, and Karim Shiyab, Qanooni is developing a transformative AI-powered platform built specifically for legal professionals. The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate Qanooni's expansion across the UAE and UK markets while also advancing its proprietary AI engine tailored to legal workflows. The round also drew support from notable individual investors, including Ben Casnocha, Sri Batchu, Josh Rodger, Viktoriya Tigipko, Andrew Verbitsky, Jimmy Stone, Nicholas Nottebohm, CFA, Ashish Shetty, and Miguel Rodrigues. With growing investor interest in regtech solutions that streamline productivity without disrupting existing digital environments, Qanooni is positioning itself at the forefront of the AI-driven transformation in legal services across MENA and Europe.
