Katy Perry Suffers Embarrassing X-Rated Wardrobe Malfunction after Her Bra Bursts Open During Las Vegas Performance

Katy Perry suffered an X-rated wardrobe malfunction during Las Vegas performance as part of her Lifetimes Tour. The 40-year-old pop star was enthusiastically performing her 2010 hit "Part of Me" while running across the stage in a revealing two-piece outfit, when the back of her metallic bra suddenly popped open.
Perry is currently well into her 84-date tour, which kicked off after the release of her seventh studio album, 143—a project that has received mixed reviews and is considered to be poorly planned. Perry said: "Oh S*** my bra is going to come off!" but ever the professionals, continued dancing before a member of her crew rushed to help.
Onstage Embarrassment
"Put my bra back on, Patrick," Perry said with a laugh, as a crew member rushed onstage to fasten the clasp while the crowd erupted in cheers. She then playfully told the audience they "hadn't paid enough" for a topless show, before carrying on with her performance.
This incident comes just after a buzzworthy moment during a recent show in Nevada, where Perry stunned fans by calling out an unsuspecting audience member.
Wearing a leotard paired with fishnet tights, she crouched low on stage, as she searched for her target in the crowd before accusing a fan of repeatedly sending private messages to her fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
Looking down at the stunned fan - referred to as Kyle - she warned: "I know why you're here. Listen, if you keep DM-ing my man... you've been doing it for months, ever since the residency. You didn't come to see me play."
As the audience erupted with cheers, Perry continued, "If you keep on DM-ing my man I'm going to have you removed - seriously, get your own life."
She then raised her voice and shouted, "He don't want you, Kyle. I'm his wife. I'm his, he's mine... stay the f**k away."
Shocking Her Fan
Kyle, who was standing near the front of the stage, appeared shocked and turned to his friends as Perry seamlessly worked her way back into her performance. Luckily for him, the fiery exchange was all part of a scripted bit—an interactive moment Perry uses to engage the crowd before performing her 2024 single I'm His, He's Mine.
Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that Perry has not been invited back to continue her Las Vegas residency, as her career continues to take a hit following backlash from her Blue Origin spaceflight and a troubled world tour.
The California Gurls singer has faced severe criticism over her 11-minute journey to space in April, where she joined Gayle King and Lauren Sanchez on an all-female mission.
Soon after the space trip, Perry launched her Lifetimes Tour to promote her seventh studio album, 143, which received largely negative reviews upon its release in September.

Jill Sobule, 'I Kissed a Girl' and 'Supermodel' Singer, Dies Tragically in Minneapolis House Fire Aged 66 as Tributes Pour In

Jill Sobule, the singer best known for her groundbreaking 1995 hit "I Kissed a Girl," has tragically died. She was 66 years old. The musician and songwriter died in a house fire in Minneapolis, Minnesota, early Thursday morning, several of her former colleagues confirmed to multiple news outlets. Sobule shot to fame with the hit song "I Kissed a Girl," often recognized as the first openly gay-themed track to break into the Billboard Top 20. Millennials will remember Sobule for her track "Supermodel," which appeared in the 1995 teen coming-of-age classic Clueless. Her death was announced just a day before she was set to take the stage for a performance. Tragic Death of a Legend Firefighters received a call about a fire in Woodbury, Minnesota, around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to local reports. By the time emergency responders arrived, the house was already engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire remains unclear and is currently under investigation. Sobule was preparing to perform for Jill Sobule presents: Songs From F–k 7th Grade & More, at the Tuft Theater at Swallow Hill Music in Denver, Colorado, on Friday, May 2. The event has since been canceled, according to the venue's website. Instead, a free, informal memorial gathering will be held to honor her memory. Sobule, who also had a song featured in the iconic 1995 comedy "Clueless", reached number 20 on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart that same year with "I Kissed a Girl" — which, at the time, was the most commercially successful openly LGBTQ-themed song on the Billboard charts. Years later, she had a public spat with Katy Perry, who released a different hit titled I Kissed a Girl in 2008. In a 2009 interview with The Rumpus, Sobule slammed Perry, referring to her as a "f***ing little slut," despite previously saying she wasn't upset by Perry's song. Back in 2008, Sobule had said she didn't feel overly attached to the title, though she did admit it gave her some satisfaction when people said her version was better than Perry's. Over time, Sobule grew frustrated with Perry's use of the same song title, especially after the California Gurls singer claimed she had dreamed it up on her own. Tributes Pour In Several of Sobule's colleagues paid tribute to her following the tragedy. "Jill Sobule was a force of nature and human rights advocate whose music is woven into our culture. I was having so much fun working with her. I lost a client and a friend today. I hope her music, memory, & legacy continue to live on and inspire others," the singer's manager, John Porter, said in a statement. Sobule's booking agent, Craig Grossman, said, "I was fortunate enough to get to know Jill beyond a professional relationship. No one made me laugh more. Her spirit and energy shall be greatly missed within the music community and beyond." Over the course of her 30-year career, Sobule released a total of 12 albums. In addition to her hit tracks "I Kissed a Girl" and "Supermodel," she also created the autobiographical musical F–k 7th Grade, which enjoyed a four-run theater production. The original cast recording of the Drama Desk-nominated show is set to come out next month, coinciding with the 30th anniversary re-release of her self-titled album that includes both of her signature songs. Originally from Denver, she debuted with the album "Things Here Are Different in 1990." Her second record, however, was never officially released. She signed with Atlantic Records in 1995, a move that gave a major boost to her career.

Katy Perry to perform first shows in mainland China since Taiwan controversy

American pop star Katy Perry is expected to perform in mainland China in November, years after she was denied a visa for wearing a controversial sunflower dress in Taiwan. Perry, 40, who made headlines earlier this month when she took a brief trip to space, is set to hold two concerts in an 18,000-seat stadium in the eastern city of Hangzhou on Nov 21 and 22, according to a notice from Zhejiang province's culture and tourism bureau. The news comes eight years after Perry was reportedly denied entry for a Victoria's Secret fashion show in Shanghai in 2017. Beijing has never confirmed the visa rejection, but US celebrity news site Page Six reported at the time that Perry had been banned from performing in mainland China because of controversy over her 2015 concert in Taiwan. During her performance in Taipei, the pop singer wore a bright dress featuring a sunflower – seen as a symbol of a student movement that opposed a trade pact between the self-ruled island and mainland China. Perry, known as 'fruit sister' among Chinese fans because of her penchant for fruit-themed outfits, will join a limited list of Western pop singers and bands permitted to perform in China as local policymakers scramble to encourage domestic consumption to offset tariff pressure from the US. Earlier, officials in Hangzhou suggested that the city was looking to invite Taylor Swift. Government advisers in Shanghai described the megastar as 'walking GDP' and called for relaxed restrictions on international performances to spur young people to spend money. Days after the last known phone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Donald Trump in January, American band OneRepublic made a rare appearance on China's Lunar New Year gala – the country's most-watched television event. Ed Sheeran, the British singer and songwriter, held six highly anticipated concerts in Hangzhou in February, while American band Imagine Dragons performed in Hangzhou and the southern city of Shenzhen earlier this month. Perry's first performance in mainland China was in Beijing in 2014. She returned the next year and held three concerts – two in Shanghai and one in the southern city of Guangzhou. Ties between China and the US have been deeply strained as Trump has ratcheted up tariffs on Chinese imports by 145 per cent since his return to the White House in January – a move aimed at forcing Beijing into trade negotiations. China, meanwhile, has struck back by imposing its own tariffs on US products with a restriction on imports of American films in response to what it called the 'wrong action of the US government to abuse tariffs on China'. Beijing also warned its citizens against travelling to the US, adding to speculation about whether it might target American services – including tourism and entertainment – a sector in which the US runs a trade surplus.
