Kylie Jenner's £4.40 brow gel is worth the hype but watch out for one thing

Daily Mirrora day ago

Kylie Jenner's go-to brow gel costs less than a fiver and has been a staple in my makeup routine for a while now - but there's one slight downside to the product
Kylie Jenner 's TikTok account has become a treasure trove for beauty-obsessed fans looking to upgrade their makeup and skincare routines with the latest celebrity-favourite products.
From promoting the latest from her own beauty brand Kylie Cosmetics, to sharing exactly how she gets her wavy hairstyle, with the help of her hairstylist, Kylie is sharing all of her beauty tips and tricks on the social media app.
But I found that her latest recommendation, the got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel, is a product that's long been a part of my makeup routine - and for good reason too.
Kylie showed off her most recent makeup routine in a 'get ready with me' upload, and prepped her brows with the gel, which you can get your hands on for just over a fiver in your local supermarket and your closest Boots or Superdrug store.
The gel is practically invisible, vegan friendly, free of silicones and alcohol and is dermatologically tested, so you can trust that your skin won't react badly, despite this product offering a super strong hold for your brows and edges for up to 72 hours.
It's made of the same 'Glued' formula that you'll find in got2Be's iconic hairspray, which is often used to keep slick back buns frizz free and even hold wigs in place all day long.

My review of got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel
I've been using the got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel for a long while now and I'm currently on my second purchase as it quickly became a staple in my everyday makeup routine. I usually apply the gel before my foundation and allow it to fully dry for brows that won't budge all day long.
Not only does the gel last all day, but a little goes a long way, so you can be sure to have this as part of your beauty bag for a long while before you run out and have to repurchase.
I haven't used the gel on my edges so I can't speak for their hold there, but for my brows, which can be quite unruly at times, this is the best product to tame and keep them neat.
Pros and cons of got2b Glued 4 Brows & Edges 2in1 Gel
Pros
Super strong hold
Quick-drying
Hold lasts well over 24hrs
Cons
Slight flaking if there's excess product left on the skin
I've found that a white residue appears if mixed with foundation or SPF

Basher Watts turns down massive £2.2m offer for star horse ahead of Classic

A social media influencer who has become obsessed with horse racing has turned down a massive offer for one of his horses. Basher Watts created his own TikTok channel two years ago to document his days out on the racecourse before launching his own syndicate, made up mostly of first-time racehorse owners. Basher Watts Racing has nine horses in training, the best of which Shes Perfect gave them an unforgettable yet frustrating day out when she was controversially demoted to second in the French 1,000 Guineas after finishing first past the post at Paris-Longchamp. After an unsuccessful appeal against the stewards' decision, Shes Perfect has been lined up for a second Classic bid by trainer Charlie Fellowes in the £827,000 French Oaks (Prix de Diane) at Chantilly on Sunday in the hope she can continue one of the underdog stories of 2025. The filly was originally bought privately for £42,000 and since winning on debut at Haydock last August, has finished second in the Group 3 race and runner-up, on a demotion, in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches. But Watts revealed on Thursday that an offer had been received on behalf of connections in Japan for a life-changing sum. Watts told the Nick Luck Daily Podcast, "I have nothing to hide. It was £2.2 million. For me that's nowhere near enough money. You are basically asking someone to pay you to take your dream away from you. "You get involved in horse racing with a dream of owning a horse like her. There are a lot of things in life which mean more than money. There will come a time in her racing career when the right step is for her to go to breeding but that's definitely not now. "There's 38 owners involved in Shes Perfect and 37 of them instantly voted she's not for sale. We're all in on the dream and hopefully there is another chapter in the fairytale on Sunday." Shes Perfect is set to face 11 opponents including Mandanaba for the same Aga Khan connections awarded victory in the French Guineas. Watts added: "We go there with a lot of pressure and a lot of expectation. In both of her runs in France there was no expectation. There was every chance she wasn't going to be good enough and then we went back to the Pouliches. Never in our wildest dreams did we think we'd have a runner. "We won it. It doesn't say that in the racecard but we know it. We won the Guineas, which is incredible to say and we go back 5-2 favourite and there is a whole heap of pressure on which gives it a different feel. "The whole thing is a fairytale and it still doesn't feel real. She was the second horse I ever bought. It still hasn't sunk what she is doing and what we're doing. I have everything crossed and I pray she can win again in France."

Georgia took to TikTok to encourage others to go to the supermarket in search of the LUGG Venus cabin bag. "RUN to Morrisons for the perfect sized cabin case to use as your free carry on bag," she wrote over the top of the clip. "Even perfect measurements for Ryanair! "And only £8." "Morrisons, thank you for these beauts," she captioned her video. The comments section was almost immediately filled with others saying they needed to get one of the cases. "Brilliant value at £8," one wrote. "I saw them the other day - they have orange ones in my area," another added. "Great price!" I spent £136 to see if the lost luggage trend was worth it - I thought I'd nab designer goodies but it was a total flop "£6 with Morrison more card," a third pointed out. To which Georgia replied: "Omgggg no way!!!!" "It's the right size for Ryanair and too small for EasyJet free baggage," someone else said. "I've purchased 2 and they're amazing quality!" another gushed. "They'll still make you snap the wheels off no doubt," someone else sighed. She also shared another video which showed her testing out the case in one of Ryanair's luggage sizers at the airport. And, as she'd predicted, it fit in there with ease. Others questioned how much she'd be able to fit in the case, with another person writing: "That's your knickers packed, where's everything else going?" Responding to that, Georgia showed how she'd managed to fit in two pair of trousers, one skirt, one pair of shorts, one pair of PJs, four tops or T-shirts, three pairs of socks, three pairs of underwear, 1 bag of hairbrushes etc and one clear bag for 100ml stuff. And it was the perfect amount to cover her for three nights away in Dublin.

Lionesses legends inspire next generation of women in sports media

The former England stars turned prime-time pundits offered words of wisdom to 12 graduates from Pixel FC Academy – a landmark programme delivered by Google Pixel, supported by Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC and The FA to provide ambitious female creators with the opportunities, training and inspiration to break into the business (see video here). Developed in partnership with women's sports experts The Powerhouse Project, the five-month Academy programme has featured workshops on every aspect of modern sports media, from TV punditry, production and written press, to creating viral social content. The programme, available to women aged 18+, began in January, following research by YouGov which revealed that 70% of female sports fans aged 16-24 believe sports media is a male dominated industry, with 63% stating that they would be more likely to apply if they saw a greater number of women in prominent roles. Since beginning in January, Pixel FC Academy members have produced 120 social media posts of their experiences, with 1.6 million views in total, contributing to an average personal follower uplift of 145% on TikTok and 33% on Instagram. Rosie and Mollie Kmita, The Powerhouse Project founders said: 'It's been a privilege to work with such a talented group of young women and give them a platform to showcase their skills. The programme has provided them with unique experiences across sports media and content creation opportunities with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool FC and the FA, so it's amazing to see them utilise Pixel's AI tools and camera capabilities to produce such high quality material. We're so proud and can't wait to see what they do in the future.' Ellen White said: 'I've loved seeing all the incredible work as well as hearing about the positive impact Pixel FC Academy has had on the graduates and it's provided crucial industry experience which will set them up brilliantly for their future careers. The girls are incredibly talented, so they should believe in themselves and they'll succeed.' Karen Carney said: 'The growth in women's football has been amazing to see over the past few years and it's great to see the drive to do more in the game. I love the work Pixel FC Academy is doing, empowering more women to enter the industry.' 'My message to girls watching, who want to get into the sports media industry would be to go for it. You can see the impact that programmes like this can have and the support is now there to help you achieve your dreams.' Hannah Baptiste, Pixel FC Academy graduate said: 'Pixel FC Academy has broken down barriers and given me a unique opportunity to explore new areas of sports media, where I've been able to learn in a safe environment with an amazing group of girls. 'The support we've received from the women's football community has been brilliant and for two legends of the game like Karen Carney and Ellen White to speak at our graduation is truly inspiring.'
