Dunn has 'monkey off back' with Bath cup win
Dunn, who made his Bath debut in 2012, came into their Premiership Rugby Cup team for the knock-out stage of the competition, after a side largely made up of academy players won five out of six matches in the group stage to ensure Bath topped their pool. He said the trophy was a "great reward" for those young players. "Every week in the Premiership you don't see those boys playing, you don't see those boys on the team sheet but they're the ones pushing us, making us better," Dunn added."They're the ones prepping us, running plays that they don't need to learn to make us better. "It's a selfless job and I remember when I was 20, 21 I wasn't playing, that was my role, and it's a tough role to have and this is their reward. They train so hard, they work so hard, and they've got their opportunity and they've taken it."Bath return to Premiership action against Gloucester on Sunday six points clear at the top of the table, as they look to avenge last season's final defeat by Northampton Saints and claim their first league title since 1996.They are also into the knockout stages of the European Challenge Cup, and could win a treble this season if things all go to plan. Dunn said the Premiership Cup win is hopefully just the "start"."Rugby clubs are massive ships and it takes time to turn them around, and I can't speak highly enough of the people in charge at the moment," he added."That goes from the nutritionist Sarah [Jenner] all the way up to the head coach Johann [van Graan], to the kit man Middy [Steve Middleton]. It's such a group effort... and I'm very excited this is just hopefully the start and the beginning."

Jamie Vardy sees Celtic veer off transfer A list as Michel Ange Balikwisha 'medical scuppered'
Balikwisha has endured injury problems and the protracted deal appears set to run on Celtic have reportedly suffered a fresh blow in their protracted pursuit of long-term target Michel-Ange Balikwisha with a scheduled medical scuppered. The Belgian youth international has been eyed by the Premiership champions over the past three windows but a deal for the winger has proven hard to get over the line with Royal Antwerp driving a hard bargain for a player with only 12 months remaining on his deal. Balikwisha has endured injury problems in recent years, however, Brendan Rodgers views him as the right option on the left side of his attack with his knack for coming inside as a perfect foil for rampaging Kieran Tierney. A report in Belgium cites an "internal issue" scuppering the principal agreement to take the Belgian to Glasgow – a move we understand the player is itching to make. And our man Scott Burns, speaking in his transfer mailbag, admits talks are proving frustrating for the Celtic boss who is desperate to improve his squad: He said: "Brendan Rodgers is clearly frustrated he hasn't got the players he wants in yet. "Celtic are still continuing to talk to agents and clubs. I know they had more dialogue with the agent of one of the wingers they target this week but still there is no agreement in place between the clubs." And Burns reckons a mooted move for 38-year-old Jamie Vardy would show the Premiership champions are no longer honing in on previous top targets. He added: "Jamie Vardy has been linked. If that does happen then it is clear that we would no longer be working on Brendan Rodgers' A list. "Celtic's failure to get players in is also stopping other players from going out. The other issue Celtic have is they can only have six international loans going out and that is an issue for Marco Tilio and Stephen Welsh." John Souttar on why Russell Martin Rangers flak is unfair
Martin is coming under fire for his start to life in the Ibrox hotseat after two Premiership draws against Motherwell and Dundee and an early capitulation against Club Brugge last night. There is now a mountain to climb to reach the Champions League proper and the £40 million bounty on offer, while Celtic are already four points ahead in the league. Fans are already questioning whether it was a mistake to appoint the 39-year-old and asking if the club might make an early decision to change. Souttar reckons that is unjust and says he and his teammates need to take on a lot of the responsibility. Read more: He said: 'Look, I think it's unfair for him to take the flak. 'I think we all have to take it. It's not just the manager, I think we are all due it. 'Everyone at this club who wants to play here has to understand that when things are not going well and demands are not met - then you are going to take flak. You need to accept that. 'In the first half on Tuesday we actually shot ourselves in the foot with how we started. When you give away the goals we did, that makes any game difficult. 'Especially a game like that when there is so much at stake and we are playing against a team of that quality. 'In the second half we were a bit better and made them a bit more uncomfortable. But the damage was done before that.'

Danilo on Rangers' Champions League hopes: 'We'll just keep fighting'
Rangers striker Danilo insists the team will not give up on their Champions League dream and will be 'all out' for a win in Belgium next week. The Ibrox side saw their hopes of reaching the League Phase take a huge blow after a dismal first leg at home on Tuesday. Rangers were 3-0 down after just 20 minutes, with a disastrous defensive display marking the worst possible start to the play-off. Danilo's second-half goal reduced the deficit but leaves the Premiership side needing a miracle in the return match next Wednesday. It was the latest in a series of disappointing results early in head coach Russell Martin's tenure but Danilo said the team would give everything to try and turn things around. 'It's early in the process but obviously in the Champions League, this is not the kind of result you want,' he said. 'We'll just keep fighting. 'We are doing everything we can. I just hope [the supporters] can get behind us as well in these difficult moments. Then we try our best and give it everything we have.' The Ibrox support made their feelings clear at half-time after the three Club Brugge goals that stunned Rangers, booing the team as they headed up the tunnel. Danilo said that was their prerogative but pointed to the backing in the second half, saying it helped with an improved performance. '100 per cent,' he said. 'They have the right to come to the stadium and say what they want. 'They wanted their team to perform. 'The manager was trying to give his best and give his best ideas as well. 'We have to stick with that. It's a bit difficult at the moment but I think it just depends on us. Everybody has to be together because we need everybody on the field and outside too. 'Hopefully we get through. Obviously 100 per cent in Belgium we're going to go all out for the win with a different mindset. 'We just don't want to hurt [the fans]. We just want them to support us and to sing. 'I think that's what the ultras fans did as well. They sang for 90 minutes. 'I think that's what made us believe that we could perform in the second half as well. That's what we needed. Everybody together.'
