ACRES 2025: Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition sees record $1.2bn of transactions
The Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES) saw transactions worth AED4.3bn ($1.2bn) in a record year.
ACRES successfully reinforced its position as one of the most prominent real estate events in the UAE and the region, marking a significant milestone with substantial property deals for projects on display.
Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) from January 22 to 25 at Expo Centre Sharjah, in collaboration with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD), ACRES 2025 recorded real estate transactions worth AED4.3bn ($1.2bn) for development projects.

It represents a growth of more than 207 percent compared to last year's edition, while drawing more than 15,000 visitors.
This year, the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition featured a remarkable record-breaking participation of over 110 exhibitors, representing major real estate development and investment companies and top-tier property developers from across the UAE and the region, alongside first-time participants drawn by the exhibition's prominent status and stellar reputation.
The ACRES Exhibition also witnessed a significant turnout from real estate agents, brokers, banks and financial institutions, in addition to architectural design service providers, legal consultancy firms, security and safety solution providers, project management companies, and relevant government entities.
The exhibition presented a diverse portfolio of real estate projects, from luxury residential units and modern villas to innovative commercial and industrial properties and land parcels.
The 2025 edition also featured the official launch of several new and groundbreaking real estate projects, making their debut in the UAE and beyond.
Exhibitors offered exclusive incentives on a diverse selection of properties, including flexible payment methods and attractive pricing, while also showcasing state-of-the-art developments that incorporate the latest technologies and contemporary architectural designs.
Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD), stated that Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition 'ACRES 2025' achieved remarkable milestones this year, with SRERD recording real estate transactions worth AED4.3bn ($1.2bn) during the exhibition period.
He said: 'This reflects the vibrancy and sustained growth of the real estate sector in Sharjah and the UAE. SRERD successfully processed 2,505 initial and final sales transactions during the exhibition, underscoring the heightened investor confidence in the real estate market'.
Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, emphasised that the success of this year's Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition 'ACRES' solidified its position as one of the most significant real estate events in the UAE and the region.
He noted that the exhibition played a key role in highlighting the thriving real estate market in the emirate.

Sharjah Chamber to honour Sharjah Excellence Award winners on June 25
The Sharjah Excellence Award (SEA)'s Board of Trustees has announced that the closing ceremony to honour the winners of the award's 2024 edition will take place on 25th June. Discussions included key proposals, most notably the potential launch of a new category titled 'Best Service Entity'. The Board also underscored the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange with prominent excellence awards across the UAE. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and praising the efforts and achievements of the Sharjah Excellence Award's team. He affirmed the Sharjah Chamber's ongoing commitment to enhancing the award's impact as a strategic platform for promoting excellence and innovation across the business sector. This initiative aligns with Sharjah's integrated development strategy, which prioritises quality, innovation, and institutional excellence in building a competitive and sustainable knowledge-based economy. Al Owais further underlined the award's role as a catalyst for advancing corporate performance standards and actively contributing to the ambitious development path of Sharjah and the UAE. Nada Al-Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Excellence Award, stated that the meeting produced key outcomes that will define the award's upcoming phase. Among them is the decision to extend the registration deadline for the next cycle to 31st January, 2026, allowing greater participation from private sector institutions. SEA's Board of Trustees also recommended evaluating the introduction of a new category under the title 'Sharjah Award for Best Service Entity'. Qatar, Pakistan explore economic cooperation
Doha, Qatar: Qatar Chamber (QC) General Manager Ali Boushraibek Al Mansouri received today at the Chamber's headquarters a delegation from the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in Pakistan, headed by its President, Ikram ul Haq. The Pakistani delegation included Muhammad Imtiaz Khan, Executive Director of MedAsk, a healthcare company; Dr. Ghulam Murtaza, CEO of DRM Pharma & Diagnostic; and Khawaja Masood Akhtar, Chairman of Forward Group, a leading manufacturer and exporter of footballs. During the meeting, the two sides discussed avenues for enhancing trade and economic cooperation between Qatar and Pakistan. Discussions also focused on strengthening institutional collaboration between the Qatar Chamber and the Sialkot Chamber to support private sector engagement and boost bilateral trade and investment. Al Mansouri praised the close relations between the two countries, particularly in trade and economic fields. He noted that the total volume of trade exchange reached approximately QR12.7bn in 2024, with QR12.2bn representing Qatari exports—primarily petroleum gases and gaseous hydrocarbons—while imports from Pakistan amounted to about QR500m. He also highlighted the presence of more than 2,000 Pakistani companies registered with the Qatar Chamber, operating in partnership with Qatari firms, in addition to 37 companies that are fully Pakistani-owned. He affirmed that the Qatari market remains open and welcoming to more Pakistani investors. Ikram ul Haq expressed appreciation for the strong bilateral relations and emphasized that the delegation includes key representatives from Pakistan's healthcare and sports manufacturing sectors, who are keen to forge strategic alliances with Qatari businesses. Muhammad Imtiaz Khan highlighted the diverse investment opportunities available in Sialkot, particularly in the healthcare sector.
