Motorola has launched the Moto G96 in India, aiming to make a mark in the competitive mid-range smartphone segment. According to the company, the Moto G96 features a class-leading display and camera, complemented by a powerful Snapdragon processor that delivers a performance boost.The Moto G96 5G comes in two variants:– 8GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at ₹17,999– 8GB RAM + 256GB storage priced at ₹19,999It will be offered in four PANTONE-certified colour options — Ashleigh Blue, Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid, and Dresden Blue.The smartphone will go on sale in India from 12 PM on July 16, and will be available through the Motorola e-store, Flipkart, and select retail outlets, including Reliance Digital.The Moto G96 5G features a 6.67-inch pOLED 3D curved FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits peak brightness, and Water Touch 2.0 technology, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For audio, the device offers stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Moto Spatial Sound support. Running on Android 15, the Moto G96 5G sports a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary lens, along with a 32MP front camera. It houses a 5500mAh battery with support for 33W TurboPower fast charging.

Ahead of the launch, the prices of the Pixel 9 series have dropped to lowest. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL in particular is now available in India for under Rs 95,000 on Flipkart making it a steal deal to get one of the most premium Android phones. Originally launched at Rs 1,24,999, (16GB RAM, and 256GB ROM variant) the current Flipkart offer slashes Rs 20,000 off. HDFC bank users get an additional Rs 10,000 discount on EMI, bringing the price just below Rs 95,000. For more savings, buyers can also use extra discounts via UPI and exchange offers on old phones. KGiSL SEZ registers 25 % growth in exports last fiscal
KGiSL's Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Electronic Hardware and Software, including ITeS, in Coimbatore saw 25 % year-on-year growth in exports in 2024-2025. The SEZ registered ₹ 6,769.97 crores worth exports last financial year, which is 65 % of all IT-SEZ exports from Coimbatore. The total exports from the KGiSL SEZ since 2008-2009 has touched ₹50,000 crore. According to Ashok Bakthavathsalam, founder of the KGiSL Group, apart from three anchor companies (Robert Bosch, Cognizant, and NTT Data), the SEZ has 38 IT and ITeS companies, many of which focus on innovation. Currently, the zone provides direct employment to approximately 34,717 professionals and along with indirect employment, the total employment generated by the SEZ has crossed 50,000. The KGISL SEZ is poised for expansion with the development of Wynfra CyberCity, which will span 1.9 million that will be LEED-certified andf wellness-certified. About three lakh of this space, coming up at an investment of ₹260 crore in the first phase, will be operational by September next year. The total investment in the project is estimated to be ₹900 crore to ₹1,100 crore. 'This new addition is specifically designed to cater to international companies looking to establish Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in Coimbatore,' a press release from the KGiSL SEZ said.
