Brymbo's tight win against Northop goes down to the wire
It was the visitors who made first use of the batting track and their 50 overs yielded 278 for six. Opener Elliot Colclough hit a sparking 107 for Northop, supported by Jordan Evans (34), skipper Bart Ryan-Beswick (31) and Matthew Mullarkey (30 not out).
Joe Norman snapped up two wickets for Brymbo, whose well-timed chase got to 279 for eight off the penultimate delivery.
Chris Taylor (117) and Johandre Barnard (71) were pivotal to the triumph, putting together a 150-run stand for the second wicket. Colclough (3-22) completed a fine all-round showing.
Gwersyllt Park are 17 points clear of the drop zone following an eight-wicket success at home to Conwy, who were dismissed for just 93.
Jack Billington (3-25), Iroshan De Silva (2-0), Lewis Cole (2-18) and Cai Pearson (2-28) impressed for Park, who replied with 94 for two (Ryan Collier 41, Jake James 38 not out).
Joe Chaplin (70) starred as defending champions Mochdre made sure of a 23-run victory versus leaders Bangor (Nathanael Scott 62, Jamie Grimshaw 50), while St Asaph eased to a 53-run win over Menai Bridge.
Elsewhere, Denbigh thrashed Bethesda by 10 wickets.
It's five wins out of five for impressive Hawarden Park and Halkyn in Division One.
Leaders Park made sure of a six-wicket outcome at Pontblyddyn, who were restricted to 136 for six (Cayo Jones 58). Philip Bradfield's knock of 41 helped Hawarden Park to 139 for four.
Opener Matthew Towey hit a terrific 106 not out in Halkyn's 215 for six (Gareth Edwards 3-12), before hosts Bangor Seconds responded with 189 for nine (Jamie Davies 63, Nathan Roett 3-42).
Mold moved into fourth position on the back of their three-wicket success at Gresford, who were all out for 140 (Daniel Williams 57, Munowar Samsodien 3-24, Richard Crane 3-30). Jon Crane's unbeaten 35 was crucial in Mold's winning 141 for seven (Tom Crewe 5-35).
Despite the best efforts of Adam De Rycke (75 not out) and Sion Edwards (3-53), Brymbo Seconds lost out by four wickets versus Llandudno (Keegan Armstrong 86 not out), while Northop Seconds were defeated by six wickets versus Mochdre Seconds.
In further action, Luke Bennett (55 not out and 3-20) starred as Connah's Quay beat Dolgellau by nine wickets. Mali Auty (3-14) also impressed for Quay.

Freeman double helps Chirk get the better of Queen's Park
Chirk sneaked a 2-1 win at home to FC Queen's Park in a game between two teams who will be be title-contenders in Division One. Tom Freeman was Chirk's match-winner. He scored both goals which were set up by Brandon Edwards, who was red carded in stoppage-time. Mike Latham - Park's marksman - was also sent off late on. Saltney Town top the table after routing Ruabon Rovers 5-0. Tom Harrison and James Dunsheath hit doubles with Carl Pleavin completing the job. Greenfield's super start to the season continued by beating Broughton United 2-0. Ryan Davies and Jack Pennington got the goals at Broughton for whom captain Elliott Evans missed a penalty and Lewis Thornton was sent off on the hour mark. Penyffordd Lions' Matthew Bithell hit a hat-trick in the 5-2 victory over Rhydymwyn. Jack Pyke-Jones and Brandon Jones also scored with Will Leonard and Luke Farron replying. Coedpoeth United captain Oliver Lewis, Callum Roberts and Joe Colley netted in a 3-0 home win against Hawarden Rangers. Castell Alun had Reece Jones sent off in their 2-0 loss to Rhostyllen, who had Kurt Isaac and Ryan O'Malley on the mark.. Harry Massey was the main man for Overton Recreation scoring all six goals in a 6-2 Division Two triumph at Holywell United for whom Kieran Durkin and Jack Swinnerton replied. Dion Thomas and Bradley Dobson took Druids close. Deeside Dragons top the Division Three table after Keiye Williams hit a hat-trick in a 5-2 win over AFC Deeside. Luke Norry and Gary Ray also scored with Morgan Shaw and Samuel Gormley-Jakomis replying. Karl Bacon's double earned Caerwys a 2-0 win against Johnstown while it ended 2-2 between Skippy and Bellevue. Levi Davies and David Hughes rescued a point for Skippy after Nigel Guramatunhu and Mikey Bagnall had put Bellevue 2-0 up.

Northop Hall have been getting on with things in the field!
Hall swept into pole position with their 118-run outcome against Parkfield Liscard last time out and victory at Prescot & Odyssey tomorrow is likely to keep them in first place. Whatever happens during the closing portion of the campaign, Ben Slater's side won't be hanging around! 'It's kind of we bowl our overs really quickly now,' said Slater, who hopes to have a strong side at his disposal tomorrow. 'Last week, we bowled 65 overs in three hours and 10 minutes - it's a bit of a tactic of ours.' Another top showing from James Hurlin (pictured above) will be on the wishlist. Chirk clash with Queen's Park is a tasty league match-up
The Premier Division is no more with the league split into three divisions. And two of the Division One title contenders clash at Chirk AAA where FC Queen's Park are the visitors tonight. Brad Pearce remains suspended for the hosts and Nathan Tombs is also banned after Tuesday's red card in the 2-0 defeat to Coedpoeth United. Matthew Tombs, Dylan Northall and Jack Jones also miss out but Brandon Edwards and Josh Williams will return and Keegan Jakovlevs faces a late fitness test. Park are also looking to bounce back after a shock Welsh Trophy exit at home to Penrhyndeudraeth. 'After last week's loss we are ready to go again,' said a Park spokesman. ' We look to right the wrongs in our first league game of the season against a strong Chirk side.' Coedpoeth's confidence will be sky high after their North East Wales FA Cup win at Chirk. 'It was a great for us,' said United boss Jack Pawley ahead of their home opener against Hawarden Rangers. 'It was a big statement victory in what was a very controlled performance.' Broughton United romped to the old Division One title last season and have momentum behind them to challenge for honours again this time around. They begin at home to Greenfield, who have enjoyed a decent start to the season. Penyffordd Lions host Rhydymwyn and Castell Alun, who knocked Llay Welfare out of the Welsh Trophy last weekend, go to Rhostyllen Ruabon Rovers have home advantage over Saltney Town while Overton Recreational could be surprise packages in Division Two especially after re-signing Harry Massey and Tom Huxley from Lex XI.
