Mariska Hargitay Rushes to Christopher Meloni's Bedside After Near-Fatal Crash in 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' Teaser
As the season 5 premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime draws closer, fans of Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler have a special — and stressful — reason to rejoice.
For the first time since 2023, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) are sharing the screen once more.
In the latest teaser, Benson can be heard softly saying "Elliot" as she stands by his bedside following a near-fatal car accident. While Stabler lies beat-up and seemingly unconscious in the hospital bed, a concerned-looking Benson stands over him.

Audiences last saw the two beloved "partners for life" in the season 24 finale of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2023, and while Stabler and Benson did speak on the phone during season 25, Hargitay's appearance in the upcoming episode of OC marks a reunion a long time in the making.
The season preview teaser also features Stabler's sergeant, Ayanna Bell, informing him that she needs him to go undercover again, as well as various scenes of Stabler on the job.

Last summer, Meloni exclusively told PEOPLE that he was busy writing episode 2 — the one set to feature Hargitay.
'I know [Olivia] Benson will be with OC for a moment,' he revealed. 'I'm going to have an opportunity to... I'll tell you what. Hopefully, uncover, peel away a little bit more of the onion or uncover a little more depth of feeling between them.'
The premiere of OC will include the first two episodes of the season, followed by weekly installments for a total of ten, 60-minute episodes.
And, while past seasons have followed Stabler on a number of assignments with the Organized Crime Control Bureau, the newest season will explore "the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome," according to NBC.

And, as Stabler's "worlds collide," he'll have to "put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice," says the network.

Woman strategically keeps track of dating app matches for this one reason: ‘I lowkey need this'
In today's wild digital dating world — sitting back and endlessly swiping will only get you so far. That's why Caitlin Trask, 32, decided to go the extra mile by creating a 'man catalog' to track all the hopeful men she matches with on dating apps — for research. 'Sorry I can't go out tonight, I have 513 men I have to document in my man catalog,' the hopeless romantic is heard saying in a TikTok video she posted, teasing her method. Trask is strategic with her dating tactics. Although she lives in Denver, Colorado, she purposely changes her location on the apps to various cities to see which loverboys she will match with. Once she receives that anticipated notification — she goes into her Excel spreadsheet to add her connection's age, height, city they live in, job, religion and political stance. While this sounds like a crazy amount of work that some people would roll their eyes at — Trask told People her reasoning for organizing these potential suitors is to see which city has the highest chances of her finding someone she is compatible with. 'Most guys that I am finding are my usual type, which means they have curly hair, good smiles and interesting prompts in their profile,' she told the outlet. 'Someone who it seems like I could have a fun conversation with is what I'm generally finding.' Clearly, she's a data girl because she told People that she enjoys analyzing her findings to uncover patterns in her dating preferences — like the fact that her type in Boston, Massachusetts, are guys over 6 feet 2 inches. 'The ultimate goal is to visit the places where I find there seem to be the most single men that I'm aligned with, and visit there and see if anything comes of it,' Trask said in the interview. Trask's research struck a chord with many people online. 'Women in stem collecting data,' joked one commenter. 'I kept a dating/romance diary all of last year and it was SOOOO helpful in being able to go back and know why these men were horrible people lol,' someone chimed in, agreeing with Trask's extra efforts. 'I lowkey need this,' quipped someone else. And of course, there were some naysayers. 'We spend way too much time thinking about men. They can't even be bothered to read our profiles. Enough,' read a comment. 'Major red flag on so many levels btw,' another commenter wrote.

Whitmer Went Straight to Trump After Kidnap Plot Pardon Hint
Gretchen Whitmer is once again trying to smooth things over with President Donald Trump. The Michigan governor, who has drawn criticism from fellow Democrats for frequently meeting with the president, told reporters on Tuesday that she'd spoken to Trump about his May 28 comment that he'd 'take a look at' pardoning the men convicted of plotting to kidnap her in 2020. 'I will just confirm that I have connected with the president directly on this subject and made my thoughts known,' Whitmer told reporters, according to NBC. In October 2020, 13 men were arrested by the FBI for orchestrating a scheme to abduct Whitmer as part of a larger plan to overthrow Michigan's state government. Four of the men are now serving prison time on federal charges, making them eligible for presidential pardons. Of the remaining nine participants, seven were tried on state charges, and two more were acquitted of their federal charges. After revealing that she'd spoken to the president this week, Whitmer added, 'I'm not going to share more about our conversation, but hopefully he'll take some of those things into consideration when he makes a decision.' Shortly after the 13 suspects were first arrested, Whitmer said Trump was 'complicit' in their scheme, citing his 2020 comments telling the Proud Boys extremist group to 'stand back and stand by.' 'Hate groups heard the president's words not as a rebuke, but as a rallying cry,' Whitmer told NBC at the time. 'When our leaders meet with, encourage, or fraternize with domestic terrorists, they legitimize their actions and they are complicit.' However, Whitmer's relationship with the president has taken on a vastly different energy in his second term. The Michigan governor has met with Trump at the White House several times since his inauguration in January, receiving backlash from supporters and fellow politicians alike when photos emerged of her appearing to hide her face from cameras while in the Oval Office in April. Later that month, Trump publicly praised Whitmer while speaking at Selfridge Air National Guard Force Base in Michigan, even pulling her on stage for a photo op. Despite criticisms from her fellow Democrats, Whitmer defended meeting with Trump as 'service above self,' and received her highest approval rating yet—63 percent—after her photo ops with the president. Trump, meanwhile, first entertained pardoning Whitmer's would-be kidnappers last week, when he told reporters that he would 'take a look' at possible pardons. 'I will take a look at it. It's been brought to my attention,' said the president. 'I did watch the trial. It looked to me like somewhat of a railroad job.' The day after Trump first floated the idea of pardoning the men, Whitmer told reporters in Michigan that she was 'very disappointed' to hear his comments. 'I'll be making my thoughts known to the White House,' Whitmer said at the time, 'I hope they take it into consideration.' When asked about Trump's conversation with Whitmer at a press conference earlier today, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said she could confirm the pair had spoken, but would not elaborate on the details of their conversation. Instead, Leavitt added, 'I will reiterate what [Trump] said publicly when he was asked… about the pardons. He said it's something he would look at, nothing more, nothing less.'
