South African award-winning YouTuber, Lasizwe Dambuza shared a heartfelt Mother's Day message acknowledging both the joy of those with living mothers and the pain of those who have lost them.
While Mother's Day is a joyful global celebration for mothers, it can be a painful reminder of loss for those whose mothers have passed away.
Dambuza, who lost his mom back in 2016, took to social media and penned an emotional post to those who lost their mothers, sharing that the pain never goes away.
'Shoutout to 'us' that made it through today. A day that's supposed to be celebratory towards one woman who gave birth to 'us'. But for 'us', today is just a painful reminder that our 'mothers are no longer with us in the flesh."
'Yes, we can celebrate them and thank them, but the feeling of seeing them excited to being pampered or receiving gifts/flowers is all an illusion,' he wrote.
The media personality further added, 'Life really did a number on me when my mother passed on. It's painful, and that pain doesn't go away: you just learn to live with it.'
His fans, who also lost their mothers, commented on his post, sharing how they relate to Dambuza's post.
'I never knew her hugs or her scent, but I feel her love in the hearts that care for me. To those carrying quiet grief - you are seen and loved,' @smiley_ngcobo said.
@sammie_indoniyamanzi added: 'Shoutout to us, it never gets better, we just learn to live with the pain.'

Dambuza has always been candid about his mother's passing and expressed how much he misses her.
In an interview with DJ Sbu last year on 'The Hustlers Corner', he shared some personal experience and opened up about how he lost his mother.
'My mom had a heart attack in December (2016) in a barbershop. I was cutting my hair for my matric dance.
'That day was so weird because my mom was actually spending her last cent on me just to make sure that I had a great matric dance."
'She sat down on the couch, I was cutting my hair and looking back on the mirror, and she collapsed. I saw her take her last breath, Dambuza shared.

Next Stay Close ✕ According to the district attorney's office, a number of neighbours nearby told the police that they heard the gunshots go off, and doorbell camera footage at a nearby house captured a white BMW SUV speeding away from the scene shortly after the shots were fired. It is reported that one of Rooks' family members claimed the victim was last seen with Hawk, who had picked him up from a friend's home in a white SUV. According to prosecutors, after the rapper's arrest, he admitted to shooting his cousin, Rooks. Additionally, bullet casings found at the scene were reportedly matched to a gun discovered on the rapper at the time of his arrest. Hawk had a prior history of run-ins with the law. In 2020, he was arrested in DeKalb County for speeding. Additionally, he faced charges in a separate incident in Los Angeles for attempting to strike two people with an axe in their home. The 27-year-old rapper, singer, and songwriter gained popularity in 2015 with his viral debut single 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)'. He was 17 when he released the catchy song that was shortly followed by a colourful music video with the famous 'Nae Nae' dance moves that shot the song to hit status, topping the Billboard Hot 100 US charts at number 3 and earning him a record deal.
