Letterman Shows Support for Colbert by Posting Old Clips of Him Roasting CBS
David Letterman has weighed in on the 'Late Show With Stephen Colbert' cancellation, albeit in his own very Letterman-esque way. The former 'Late Show' host and originator of the CBS program posted a 20-minute compilation of clips from his show where he made fun of the network, captioning the YouTube video, 'You can't spell CBS without BS.' Titled 'CBS: The Tiffany Network,' the video includes nearly a decade of zingers from Letterman against his network, and comes on the heels of CBS' decision to cancel 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.' More from TheWrap Letterman Shows Support for Colbert by Posting Old Clips of Him Roasting CBS Seth Meyers Suspects Epstein Regretted Telling Trump Anything After the President Would Casually Mention Secrets | Video Inside Disney+'s Bet on Short-Form News With ABC's 'What You Need to Know' What's Next for Stephen Colbert After 'The Late Show' Cancellation? On Monday night, late night hosts rallied around Colbert after Thursday's shocking announcement. Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart and John Oliver all appeared on 'Late Show' as part of a 'kiss cam' bit, while Stewart devoted his entire 'Daily Show' segment to supporting Colbert and dinging Paramount (which also owns 'The Daily Show') for its decision to scrap the late night host's show. 'My God, when CDs stopped selling, they didn't just go, 'Oh well, music, it's been a good run.' The fact that CBS didn't try to save their number one rated network late night franchise that's been on the air for over three decades is part of what's making everybody wonder, was his purely financial, or maybe the path of least resistance for your $8 billion dollar merger?' Stewart said, referring to the planned merger of Paramount Global with David Ellison's Skydance Media. Colbert, meanwhile, took direct aim at his parent company as well on Monday night's episode of 'Late Show.' 'Over the weekend, somebody at CBS followed up their gracious press release with a gracious anonymous leak saying they pulled the plug on our show because of losses pegged between $40 million and $50 million a year,' he said in his monologue. '$40 million is a big number. I could see us losing $24 million but where would Paramount have possibly spent the other $16 million? Oh, yeah,' Colbert joked, referring of course to the amount Paramount paid Donald Trump to settle the frivolous lawsuit he filed accusing '60 Minutes' of deceptively editing its Kamala Harris interview More to come… The post Letterman Shows Support for Colbert by Posting Old Clips of Him Roasting CBS appeared first on TheWrap.

Vanessa Kirby Shares What Kind of Husband Pedro Pascal Would be
Fans seem to think The Fantastic Four: First Steps star Vanessa Kirby is smitten with her co-star Pedro Pascal. The actress, who plays Sue Storm opposite Pascal's Reed Richards in the film, joked she'd be 'first in the line' to marry her on-screen husband in a recent interview. What did Vanessa Kirby say about Pedro Pascal? The on-screen married couple of the new Fantastic Four film, Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal, are sending fans into a frenzy with their affectionate opinions of each other. In a recent Hits Radio interview, Kirby was asked how Pascal was as her 'husband' in the Marvel film. The 36-year-old English actress was candid in her answer as she gushed, 'I mean, who wouldn't want to marry Pedro? I'm like first in the line, darling.' To which Pedro jokingly said in a low voice, 'I could give you a long list of people who wouldn't want to marry me.' However, Kirby continued her praise for The Last of Us star as she noted, 'He was the best ever' (as an on-screen husband). Kirby further added that there's 'no smoke without fire,' and the interviewer commented that Pascal is an absolute 'smoke show.' The Game of Thrones actor could not move on from the conversation before adding a subtle compliment for the Pieces of a Woman star. Pascal noted, 'Look at the two of us and decide who's smoking,' while gesturing at Kirby. Previously, The Crown star had confessed in an interview with Madame Figaro that 'it's insane how much love' she has for Pascal. While discussing their filming experience for the new Marvel movie, the BAFTA winner disclosed that she felt the 'luckiest' when Pascal said yes to the role of Mr. Fantastic. She noted, 'It was one of the best days of my life when he said yes. It's insane how much love I have for this man, and I'm not alone, which is quite annoying.' The actress went ahead to claim that Pascal could be 'one of the great loves' of her life who will be in her 'heart' always. Kirby noted, 'It's a beautiful gift to me.' While fans found Kirby's sweet confession totally relatable, Pascal kept things light with his trademark humor. He playfully told his co-star to 'chill' before their heartfelt moment turned the interview into a 'weepy game.' Originally reported by Arpita Adhya on ComingSoon. Hunter Biden accuses George Clooney of undermining his father in 2024 presidential election
WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President Joe Biden's son Hunter isn't hiding his feelings about actor and Democratic Party donor George Clooney's decision to call on the elder Biden to abandon his 2024 reelection bid. In a rare online interview, Hunter Biden used a string of expletives to describe Clooney when discussing the actor with Andrew Gallagher of Channel 5. Clooney supported Democrat Joe Biden's bid for a second term and even headlined a record-setting fundraiser for the then-president. But the actor changed his stance after Biden turned in a disastrous debate performance against Republican Donald Trump in June 2024 and added his voice to mounting calls for the then-81-year-old president to leave the race. Clooney made his feelings known in an opinion piece in The New York Times. Biden ended up leaving the race a few weeks later and endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris. She lost to Trump. In the lengthy and wide-ranging interview, Hunter Biden questioned why anyone should listen to Clooney and said the 'Ocean's Eleven' actor had no right to 'undermine' his father. 'What right do you have to step on a man who's given 52 years of his f——— life to the services of this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out basically a full page ad in the f——— New York Times to undermine the president," Hunter Biden said before he trailed off to talk about how Republicans are more unified than Democrats. Joe Biden served 36 years in the U.S. Senate and eight years as Barack Obama's vice president before he was elected president in 2020. Los Angeles-based representatives for Clooney did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment Tuesday. ___ Follow the AP's coverage of Hunter Biden at
