How to Watch the F1 Belgian Grand Prix Live on a Free Channel

Gizmodo26-07-2025
Looking for a way to watch the F1 Belgian Grand Prix online for free? Today is your lucky day. It's a new weekend and a new Grand Prix. This time, we're heading to Europe, to the famous Spa circuit.
Spanning just over 7 kilometers and covering 44 laps, Spa is one of the most complex circuits to drive on. It combines lengthy straights with sharp turns, downhill and uphill sections, ensuring maximum excitement for both drivers and fans.
So, how can you watch the 2025 Belgian GP live on a free channel? Here's what you need to know.
Look online, and you'll be bombarded by premium channels that broadcast Formula 1 races. If you don't want to overpay, free channels are way better. One of them is SRF, also known as SRF Play. Have you heard of it?
Likely not if you're not a Swiss resident.
SRF is a Swiss TV channel, while SRF Play is its on-demand streaming service. It provides access to all SRF channels, which you can watch live, for free, without an account. There are a few tricks, however.
Watch the Belgian GP With NordVPN
SRF's Swiss roots mean the channel is not in English. However, it provides top-notch quality footage and lets you watch the entire Grand Prix, not just the main race. The problem with SRF is its limited availability.
As you can guess, SRF operates only in Switzerland.
Thus, if you're abroad, you'll likely come across a geo-restriction message when trying to watch the F1 Belgian Grand Prix on this free channel. You can remedy the issue by getting a Swiss IP address with a VPN.
We mentioned a VPN, but haven't specified which one to use.
According to thousands of F1 fans worldwide, NordVPN seems to fit the bill. It offers countless Swiss VPN servers, unrestricted traffic, and impressive streaming speeds. How does NordVPN work?
It's pretty simple. You connect to one of its remote servers and get assigned that server's IP address. Install NordVPN, open its app, and choose Switzerland. Within seconds of connecting, your new IP will be ready.
As the new IP overrides your original one, you'll appear in Switzerland to any website you visit. Now, you can go to SRF Play, click Live, and watch the Belgian Grand Prix on a free channel.
But wait, NordVPN isn't free, so what's the point?
The point is a refund policy. You get 30 days to obtain a refund with a money-back guarantee. This leaves you ample time to watch the F1 Belgian GP online for free and even enjoy the Hungary GP after that.
Even if you do this, you'll still be able to obtain a refund and lose nothing.
No free channel streams the F1 Belgian GP live in English.
While we advised SRF, the race can also be seen on Belgian RTBF or Austrian ServusTV. Both are free but in their respective languages. Premium channels have their advantages, but they're not flawless.
Here are a few ideas:
Channels from the UK, USA, and Canada offer access to all Formula 1 races; however, they cost a fortune. The cheapest options are Kayo Sports and TSN Plus, but they work exclusively in Australia and Canada.
US streaming services, especially Hulu + Live TV and fuboTV, cost way more than NordVPN and don't have refund policies. Plus, users abroad still need to use a VPN because all are restricted to their native countries.

Here's a full schedule of this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.
The main race starts on July 25th and ends on July 27th. For your convenience, we have presented the full schedule in CEST, EDT, and PDT.

Revealed – Dispute At The Heart Of Transfer Soap Opera Between Ademola Lookman, Inter Milan & Atalanta

A dispute over an alleged promise to Ademola Lookman by Atalanta is at the heart of the transfer soap opera between the Nigerian, his current club, and Inter Milan. Italian outlet FCInterNews report that the player believes he has an explicit promise that Atalanta would be amenable in negotiations for his sale this summer. In another bombshell in what has become a full-blown transfer soap opera, Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman made a public statement in which he handed in a transfer request. The 27-year-old explicitly accused Atalanta of breaking a promise to him. This confirms weeks of rumours that Lookman believes La Dea have promised a sale this summer. This after they refused to allow him to join Paris Saint-Germain last summer. The Promise At The Heart Of Lookman Atalanta Inter Soap Opera BERGAMO, ITALY – MAY 12: Ademola Lookman of. Atalanta warms up prior to th.\e. Serie A match between Atalanta and AS Roma at Gewiss Stadium on May 12, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by) Inter Milan reportedly received word from Lookman's entourage that a €40 million would be enough to sign the former RB Leipzig forward. In effect, the player's representatives conveyed that this is what Atalanta had told them. Informally, at least. Therefore, Inter believed that all the parties were on the same page. The Nerazzurri believed that €40 million would be in the ballpark of an offer that Atalanta would accept. But that has not proven to be the case. Atalanta have not just rejected that offer. They've also turned down a bid worth €45 million including add-ons. Hence Lookman's anger with Atalanta over this alleged broken promise in his social media post.

French rider Ferrand-Prevot solos to victory in women's Tour de France

French rider Pauline Ferrand-Prevot soloed to victory on Sunday in the ninth and final stage in the Alps to seal the women's Tour de France title. Olympic mountain bike champion Ferrand-Prevot of Visma, who rejoined the road racing scene last year, took the overall title by a 3min 42sec margin over Dutch rider Demi Vollering. She ended the long wait for a home Tour winner, dating back to 1989. Last year's winner Katarzyna Niewiadoma of Poland finished third overall at 4min 09sec. Ferrand-Prevot said she had achieved "the goal of her life as an athlete" after sealing victory in the mountains on the border with Switzerland. "I came back on the road after my Olympic title, and I said I will try to win the Tour de France in the next three years," said the 33-year-old. "So here I am, the first one! It was an amazing season with my team." She adds to her 15 world titles in several cycling disciplines including mountain biking, cyclo-cross and road racing. She becomes the first French rider to win the modern women's Tour de France in its fourth edition. "At the summit! Pauline Ferrand-Prevot is making Tour de France history," French President Emmanuel Macron posted on social media. "She turns effort into a resounding victory, difficulty into national pride. Bravo, champion!" Jeannie Longo won the title 36 years ago in the race's former guise, the Tour de France Feminin. Bernard Hinault was the last Frenchman to win the men's Tour de France in 1985 when he claimed his fifth title. This season, after seven years devoted primarily to mountain biking, Ferrand-Prevot also won the Paris-Roubaix before focusing on preparing for the Tour. "It was so difficult (this stage). I wanted to win here in the yellow jersey. It's a dream," she said. Ferrand-Prevot finally won her first Olympic medal last year in Paris in her fourth Games, taking a dominant gold in the mountain biking cross-country event. bnl/ea/jc/nf
