Daily Mail09-06-2025
Tamzin Outhwaite has opened up on her split from her toyboy ex-boyfriend Tom Child as she admitted she 'never wants to live with a partner again'.
The actress, 54, was in a six year relationship with Tom, 33, who she met at a yoga class in 2017 and broke up last summer.
Prior to this she was married to actor Tom Ellis, but the couple split in 2014 when he allegedly cheated on her with actress Emile De Ravin while filming American series Once Upon A Time.
She told Hello Magazine that after six years in a relationship with someone two decades younger than her, she is now ready to be on her own.
Tamzin told the publication: 'He's still one of my best friends, and I adore him. But I had to say: ''I don't want to share a bed. I'm in a phase where I need to be on my own''.
She explained that she decided to opt out of doing no contact and have remained friends which she described as feeling 'very grown up'.

When she first spoke out after her split from Tom she told The Mirror about her newfound single status.
She shared: 'I'm quite happy. And being single and happy is a really lovely place to be. And that can only happen with life experience.'
Reflecting on this break up, she said added: 'Maybe before now, I've been single but not happy. For anyone struggling, the most important relationship you will ever have is with yourself.'
'There is a lot said about people not wanting to be on their own as they get older. I really like being on my own. Especially now, at this age, I really like my own company.'
It's the first time she's spoken publicly about her latest break-up and it seems to hit rather differently to her divorce.
Ex-husband Tom, 45, is the father of her children Flo, 16, and Marnie, 12, but he now lives in the US with his new wife Meaghan, 38, and baby daughter Dolly, who is ten months old.
Tamzin is currently starring in Channel 5 drama The Wives and her character Sylvie has just gone through a divorce.
Her co-stars are her friends Angela Griffin, 48, and Jo Joyner, 47, who play Sylvie's ex-sister-in-laws, Natasha and Beth.

In 2023, Tamzin shared a post online a decade since her split from husband Ellis and wrote: 'Ten years since the father of my kids walked out on us for the final time.'
The marriage to Tom is understood to have ended after he confessed to an affair with Australian actress Ravin, best known for her role as Claire Littleton in Lost, while they worked together on US TV show Once Upon A Time in 2013.
In a now deleted Tweet, Tamzin said she was still hearing more stories of Tom' alleged infidelity that took place during their nine year marriage.
Tamzin wrote: 'Ten years since the father of my kids walked out on us for the final time. I still meet new people on jobs who reveal more infidelities and lies that he committed.
'But thankfully my heart and soul are clear and clean and I could not be happier right now.'
The EastEnders actress later deleted the Tweet and told her followers she marked the decade since her marriage broke down because she felt a 'feeling of triumph and pride' having made it through her heartache.
She said: 'Thank you all for your messages re my now deleted tweet. I was marking the 10-year anniversary with pride, a feeling of triumph & genuine gratitude.
'I understand it has triggered some people. For anyone struggling, the most important relationship you will ever have is with yourself.'
Tamzin had been introduced to Tom in 2005 by his old friend, the actor James McAvoy, who was appearing on stage with the actress.
After nine years of marriage, they were granted a quick divorce in 2014 - leaving Tamzin heartbroken.
'Tamzin couldn't believe Tom's betrayal and was distraught,' a source told The Sun in 2016.
'She was excited for him to go over to America and further his career off the back of Miranda while she raised their two daughters and this is how he repaid her.'
Tamzin told Essentials magazine in 2015: 'I wouldn't not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I'll say' - hinting that their split was the result of more than just a single mistake.
The actress said she didn't want to reveal the precise details of their troubles for fear of hurting their kids.
She added: 'I will tell them exactly what happened and it will come from me. He's still their dad and they still have a relationship.'
Tom has since made a name for himself in the US, playing the devil incarnate in TV drama series Lucifer.
