ROBLOX, the online playground for millions of budding game-makers and blocky adventurers, has stunned fans by swapping steely greys for a loud new look with vivid blue.
With over 70 million daily players, every pixel counts, and the site is incredibly popular with children, with one spending over £1,000.

Why is the Roblox logo blue?
Although Roblox hasn't explained the reasons for the new colour scheme, they have previously used silver and red.
The vivid blue is seen by many people as a statement about the company's new direction.
It could be seen as an attempt to fit in with other tech companies, while some users have suggested it shows a more corporate image.
The shift to a vivid blue could be part of Roblox 's wider strategy to modernise the brand.
The change has been implemented across Roblox's platforms, including the Creator Hub and the Universal App.
The new hue helps to create a more cohesive brand.
When did Roblox change the logo?
Nobody is quite sure exactly when the logo changed, however one blogger wrote in March that the logo was still grey and black.
However, the logo was spotted to have changed in the Apple app store and Google Play in April 2025.
This comes after players noticed the play button changed from green to blue in January.
What does the blue represent?
Blue is often associated with trust, safety, calmness and professionalism.

In contrast, the red that Roblox previously used can be associated with urgency and aggression.
As many of the platform users are children, the company may have wanted to steer away from these hostile associations.
What have gamers said about the blue Roblox logo?
The reaction to the new Roblox logo from gamers has been mainly negative, with many nostalgic for the older red version.
One Reddit user wrote: "This one is more corporate, emotionless, boring, and plain."
Another added: "Blue looks ugly. Roblox is becoming worse one step at a time."
What is Roblox?
Roblox is an online user-generated-content (UGC) gaming platform.
Unlike traditional gaming publishers, where the platform publishes its own games, on Roblox, independent developers can create and share their own narratives.
The colourful site is popular with children, who play the mostly free games on their smartphones, tablets and computers.
Many users enjoy messaging their friends and strangers with the text chat feature.

YouTube has stopped working on 5 popular phones - so, is your device on the list?

It's the go-to video app for millions of people around the world. But if you use YouTube, you might want to check that the app is still running on your smartphone. The Google-owned app has quietly updated its iOS app to version 20.22.1, and now requires iOS 16 or later to install and run. That means several older iPhone models are no longer compatible with the app. The affected devices are those that cannot upgrade beyond iOS 15. So that's the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and the first-generation iPhone SE. Alternatively, if you have an iPod Touch 7, you won't be able to watch YouTube on that either. The news has not gone down well across social media, with one user venting: 'My iphone 6s is slowly becoming obselete.' It's the go-to video app for millions of people around the world. But if you use YouTube , you might want to check that the app is still running on your smartphone YouTube quietly made the change in version 20.22.1, which was released on 2 June. On the App Store, YouTube describes this version as having 'bug fixes, performance improvements, and more cat videos.' However, in the fine print, it also now states that it requires iOS 16.0 or later to run on iPhone, as well as iPad 16.0 or later to run on iPad. Unfortunately, that means the app has been discontinued for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4. Several disgruntled users have taken to X to discuss the news. 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLANET I HAVE AN IPHONE 6S,' one user asked. Another wrote: 'This is strange because the YouTube app is just streaming video from a server, and many devices with much less power can still do that fine.' And one joked: 'What a long ride its been, iPhone 6S,' alongside the saluting emoji. However, others were quick to point out a sneaky loophole - watching YouTube on Safari, rather than through the app. 'When stuck you could always just use YouTube on safari like god intended,' one user suggested. Another added: 'I've never used the app. Always from browser.' To make sure you can still use YouTube on your phone, it is essential that you update to at least iOS 16 or higher - even if you are using a newer, compatible device. To check which operating system you are currently using, simply open the Settings app, select General, and tap on the 'About' tab. Under the heading 'Version' you will be able to see the currently installed iteration of iOS. If you do need to update your iPhone, from Settings navigate to the tab labelled 'General' and select 'Software Update'. If a newer version of iOS is available, you can press 'Install Now' to begin the update. To ensure you always get the latest software and security updates, you can also consider activating automatic updates by selecting 'Automatic Updates' on the 'Software Update' page.

Tap and snap a photo with your AIRPODS rumoured to be among three mega upgrades coming to millions of iPhones

AIRPOD owners could soon be in for a big free upgrade that allows them to take photos and more with their iPhone. Camera controls are reportedly being prepared for the upcoming iOS update. 1 All users will have to do is tap the stem of an AirPod earpiece to trigger the camera, according to 9to5Mac. This could come in particularly handy when trying to take selfies or big group shots. But that's not the only trick Apple apparently has up its sleeve. It's rumoured that there will be new sleep detection coming too. This will turn your AirPods off when the device detects that you've nodded off with them in. That means no more sleep timers - and no waking up with all the battery drained. However, it's not clear whether this will work on the AirPods and iPhone, or require an Apple Watch which has built in sleep detecting tech. Elsewhere, new head gestures could be landing as well. AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 owners can already nod their head to accept a call or shake from side to side to decline it. They can do the same with notifications too. I've been secretly wearing new Apple AirPods 4 – 'ear scan' design tweak blew me away But Apple is rumoured to be planning even more, including an extension to the volume adjustment made with Conversation Awareness, which automatically lowers your audio while you're talking. And there might be a new mic mode to deliver "studio quality" for those listening to you. The wait for official word from Apple may not be far off either. Next week the tech giant hosts its annual WWDC conference where it announces all things software and beyond. It may be the first glimpse we get of the firm's refreshed iOS update coming to iPhones later this year, which is rumoured to carry a new name. Reports suggest Apple may be preparing to drop the current numerical structure and align it to the year instead. This would make the next iOS update iOS 26 instead of iOS 19. The Sun will be reporting from California next week to give you all the latest updates.
